Cute little wine bar. Good cocktails. Seating in and outside. Located on Main St. Quiet atmosphere for conversation. Try their Bacon.

Great little place in Covington for a date night or girls night! We were looking for a place in Covington with outdoor seating and heaters to go to after dinner and came across this little gem. The staff was super friendly and the place is cozy. They also have a back patio outdoor area with 3-4 tables it looked like. The inside is small, but also has space for 3-4 tables socially distanced. Reasonably priced wines and beer and you can do flights! I love trying a bunch of different wines so flights were a perfect option. I tried a flight with 2 red and 2 whites. They had a Montepulciano on tap so I had to try it! I don't normally see many places with a Montepulciano where the majority are brim the Abruzzo region of Italy. For my flight I had the La Vite Montepulciano, Lobetia Tempranillo, Pratsch GrunerVettliner, and the Christophe Coquarf Rose. I enjoyed them all and recommend the Montepulciano if you like reds that are simple, earthy and smooth. They also offer charcuterie boards and lite bites! Perfect for drinking the night away :) We will come back for happy hour or girls nights again soon, especially with the weather getting nicer.

Chenin blanc on tap! Plus a winged little friend!

This place was absolutely perfect! I've never been until tonight which is crazy because it's exactly my kind of place. My friend and I chose it for our "Mom Date Night" specifically because she loves beer and I love wine so it's literally the most perfect spot! Our bartender was awesome and explained their system perfectly. She also was super friendly and welcoming to two newcomers. Their selection of beer and wine on tap was pretty impressive and worth checking out as well. And the location can't be beat; right at the intersection of 7th and Main in Mainstrasse, south enough from the super heavy foot traffic so you can still find a parking spot in the nearby flat lot but close enough to the action that you can sit on the front patio and enjoy all the people-watching. Although we didn't partake, Wednesdays are their Bottle & Board night special including a bottle of wine and charcuterie board, then I saw that Thursdays are wine tasting nights. What I really can't wait to come back for though are their special Saturday meals when they more often than not have something delicious-looking coming out of the kitchen or off the smoker or grill. Will definitely be back; this place has a little something for everyone!

Amazing wine and food selection. The staff was easy to tap to and very responsive. Loved the glass of red and we also got a sparkling rose. Amazing time and can't wait to return. Street parking.

SRIRACHA. MAPLE. BACON. The unholy trinity of all of my deepest, darkest desires was here all along on the charcuterie menu at Crafts and Vines! Seriously: this might be the must-have appetizer in all of Cincinnati. Succulent, decadent indulgences aside, Craft & Vines is a fun wine bar offering flights of around 8 on-tap wines. $10 = a generous four wine tasting. I went with the whites, and a friend went with all of the reds - I wouldn't knock a single one of them. The vibe is very laidback (there's a wrap copper-top bar, a cozy room with a fireplace and a back room with a few tables). I know I am late to the party, but you can add Crafts & Vines to the reasons why I love Historic Mainstraße! Pro tip: the alley running behind the building is called Willard St. There are free public parking spaces allotted by the City of Covington between Pershing Ave. and W 7th Street (in the yellow-lined spaces). Park for free!

I love sitting outside on their porch/patio area that in enclosed. The wine margarita is amazing and you should definitely try this if coming here! I could drink 3 of them!

Had a lovely Wednesday wine-down at Crafts & Vines in beautiful Mainstrasse this week. Crafts and Vines is an intimate wine and craft beer bar offering charcuterie and bar snacks daily and other dishes such as tacos and chili at other times (follow their Instagram for updates on food and special sales). Wednesdays are a great time to visit, since that's when Crafts & Vines offers their Board and Bottle special - a bottle of wine and pick three charcuterie board for $22 or pick six board for $28. We had dinner plans so we went for the pick three. Tim behind the bar asked what wine we preferred (reds) and gave us four bottles to choose from, letting us know which was most popular at a recent tasting. We went with a Syrah and picked an amazing cheddar with caramelized onion, house-made pimento cheese spread and dry salami for our board. Our board also came with gorgeous bread (bonus points for the spot on bread to cheese ratio), fig spread, grain mustard, marcona almonds, dried cranberries and apricots, gherkins and something else pickled that I forgot to ask about. The place is dog friendly, "so long as the dogs are friendly," and there's a patio out back. Already have my next trip planned with friends.

Room with fireplace. Dog treats for sale on mantel.

Cute little bar near Main Strasse. We parked no charge on a side street and walked 1/2 block to the building. The bar area sits right inside the front door. I was going to a networking event there and I could see alot of people through the front window. The doorway was blocked by several people hanging at the bar. I think they need to move the bar into the room with the fireplace. It would be a matter of flip-flopping rooms. Happy hour was until 7pm. Cans of beer were $4 and some were $3. We drank them out of Elvis Juice (grapefruit/citrus IPA). Catherine was our bartender and was super pleasant. Apparently, they welcome dogs on the back patio. There was a clothesline with polaroid photos of all the dog visitors. Seating is very limited. So, don't expect to sit unless it is a slow night. The place is cut up and awkwardly laid out. I felt a little confused and uncomfortable with the layout. It is not a great venue for a big group. I had a hard time finding a space to stand and not be in the way of the flow of traffic. I saw card games by the fireplace. In the same room, there's a wall of wine. It's not my drink of choice since I get headaches. But, if you are in a pinch for a bottle, you might find what you need there. They might want to consider working out a delivery deal with Goodfellas pizza down the street to have food available. We left because we were starving.

Crafts & Vines is that kind of bar that you walk in, take a look around, and think to yourself, "Yeah...I bet these people listen to NPR." Don't get me wrong, I listen to NPR, too. I'm not dogging on informative and entertaining radio content (or all the reasons you should be a sustaining member)...But what I am saying is that this bar definitely adds some sophistication to Mainstrasse. My crew and I each did a wine flight and sat at one of tables out front where we could people watch (don't kid yourself, there's some incredible people-watching in Mainstrasse). I used my robust knowledge of wine to pick out my selection of four glasses (I told the bartender I knew nothing about wine, liked reds, and that she should surprise me). I twirled my wine in the glass, breathed in through my nose and closed my eyes so that Covington could see my sophistication as I took my first drink. It smelled like red wine. It tasted like red wine. I liked it. There's something about having a wine flight that feels experiential, and Crafts & Vines is the perfect place to have that kind of experience. Crafts & Vines is sophisticated, but simple. It may be a touch pretentious, but it's definitely approachable. The staff was friendly, and the wine was delightful. I'll be back.

I have been truly impressed every time I have visited Crafts and Vines. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I have visited on multiple occasions, frequently with a small group of friends. I love the laid-back and inviting atmosphere. There are board games available that we have taken advantage of before. I also love how dog friendly they are. I do not personally own a dog, but I LOVE dogs, so it's fun to see the furry guests as well. I highly recommend trying a charcuterie board. My favorite item available is the maple sriracha bacon. It is sweet with just a zing of spiciness. They have a nice variety of meats and cheeses to choose from. On Saturdays they frequently have a food item of the day, freshly prepared that day. I have not tried any of their daily food items, but the pictures on their Facebook page are always enticing! Oh, and since this is a wine/craft beer bar I guess I should mention the drinks too! They have a nice variety of choices, plenty of wine by the glass, as well as lots of local craft beers. If you aren't sure what to order, just ask and someone is willing to help you choose the perfect drink!

Crafts & Vines is a new bar and bottle shop located in Covington and just what the area needs. Stop in for craft beer 6 packs, they have a great variety. The space is converted from an old house. There is nice intimate bar with high top bar tables, then a room with couches, and then a back room with alternative seating. I could definitely see this as a more "grown up" stop on your Mainstrasse bar crawl.

    Come and get it! Yum!
    Rebecca A.

What a wonderful place to drink fine wine and enjoy your friends. Oh yes, there's craft beer as well. It's quiet so you can hear the conversation, a big plus for me. Cheese and meat board were quite good. The bacon and jerky were fun and delicious.

    Wine flights and charcuterie board!

From the moment I sat down at the bar, owner Matt and the bartenders made me feel genuinely welcome. They took the time to learn my name, offer recommendations, and check in throughout the evening without ever being overbearing. It's a rare gift to make a solo guest feel seen while still giving them space to enjoy their own company. The food was outstanding. I ordered the baked brie with the honeycomb (trust me, get the honeycomb) and every bite was delicious. The combination of warm brie, puff pastry, honey, and nuts was incredible. Matt's wine recommendation was equally spot on. What impressed me most, though, was the atmosphere. Ripple strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated and comfortable. Whether you're on a date, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying a quiet evening alone, you'll feel right at home. I arrived as a first-time guest and left feeling like a regular. Covington is lucky to have this place. I'll definitely be back.

The bread from Allez Bakery that comes with the board is outstanding. Look forward to visiting again.

The place had a bygone era dignity, a european alfresco vibe (a la Sudova), a refined mediterranean food vibe (a la Abigail Street) and there was the whole 1937 thing. When we got there the owner explained this was the descendants of the founder of Gold Start Chili opening this as a homage to his vision of a restaurant as an elevated yet welcoming family place. The place it turns out reflects the fact that they bought what was a refined saloon (where the Brat Boyz might have met in the 50s), along with a decidedly modern vibe in the back. I could ramble on about the food, but the salad makes the point. Everything they have is familiar .. with a twist. The salad is extra fresh because it is a head of romaine artfully sauced with a test for herbivores to practice turkey carving skills. The other dishes mirror that sort of familiar-meets -twist take. Devilled eggs (something I decidedly avoid at buffets) was quite good, with a homemade chili oils and black salt. The staff was quite chill, engaging but not talking your ear off. Much of the staff were childhood buddies who decided (I guess successfully) to test their friendship by going into business to together. The only part I'd quibble is the '1937' thing (it's when the Gold Star owner was born, not 2020 when the restaurant opened). But you know, quibbles get muffled when uttered with a mouth full of Biscoff 'meatloaf' (thick cut) and home made OrangeCello.
