Around 6:20 the so called previews were to begin and all we saw was a black screen with pure sound only. The previews sound stopped, the light came back on, shortly after got our food order, great. 6:45pm came and the movie finally started with no previews, no opening credits, pretty sure we missed the first 10-15 minutes of the movie. I started to become very disappointed of how my experience started but I couldn't let that ruin our date night. The movie was overall amazing, didn't disappoint as much as the theater experience did. On top of all that, this brand new theater in Inglewood that just opened in 2021 has the worst looking armrests on their reclining seats in the IMAX theater number 1. Technical issues should've been announced before hand and the movie should've at least been rewound to the beginning. Tickets are not as affordable as they were and when you're spending $25+ per ticket, all one asks is to at least get what they pay for. It's a whole North American tour but here in Los Angeles they had at The Forum! When I first heard about this festival a year ago, I was already making plans on going! Being the ultimate Hello Kitty Fan, this was a must for me! i was even more excited to hear that Hello Kitty would be joined by all of her friends. Each session at the festival is about 3 hours long an includes multi-stage live performances, and various exhibits. I really loved how they had various exhibits that featured all the Sanrio characters! They have a Sanrio Friendship Forest showcasing the different Sanrio characters. They have Purin's house, My Melody's bakery, Badtz Maru's car garage, Little Twin Star's soft galaxy. Dear Daniel's Donut Pond and Hello Kitty's house. Guests could get temporary tattoos with their favorite character as well as get face painting. Face paint choices were either Hello Kitty or Keroppi. The multi-stage live performances were a lot of fun and entertaining. They had singing, dance challenges and even a fashion show! It was really like a mini version of Hello Kitty Con. They had the Hello Kitty slippers and giant coin purse for photo ops similar to the con. Missing though was the Hello Kitty Con VIP bags they had at Hello Kitty Con that was packed with kawaii goodies. They had goodie bags here too but not as many goodies but still cute stuff nonetheless with a LA exclusive poster, a lanyard and a light up key chain. Aside from spotting Hello kitty Con decor, i recognized some other items from other Sanrio events. They had the giant character balloons overhead that were also present at the 50th anniversary event at the Barker Hangar. It's nice to see all of that again. This festival was for sure super cute and a must for any Sanrio fun!

We escaped the Godzilla vs Kong room over this Labor day weekend (Sunday) and I unfortunately have…read moreto remove stars due to technical problems in the room, incorrect resetting of the room, and poor game master quality (Nico). All of which were very immersion breaking and ruined the experience. Spoilers ahead for the Godzilla vs Kong escape room. There was only 1 technical problem but it made the experience harder and awkward. There's a part where you have to put your ear up to seashells (a conch specifically) on the wall and there's a sensor that detects when something (your ear/head) blocks it or is near it which triggers a sound to play. The sensors weren't good. We ended up having to use a finger to block the sensor to get the audio to play. The incorrect resetting of the room and poor game master quality may go hand in hand so will address these together. There's a volcano where you need to get 5 oblong rocks to divert the flow of lava by placing them in a series of holes in the volcano. At the start, there were 3 rocks already in the holes in the volcano, 1 rock in this metal protruding section, and the 5th rock was actually missing. There are these 3 holes in the room you're supposed to stick your head in and look up. These spaces where you stick your head in were pretty big, maybe 3-4 feet of space between the hole and the floor/ceiling/back wall. The 5th rock was on the floor inside one of the holes; which is NOT where it was supposed to be because it's dark in the hole (you get no controllable light source) and it was out of reach. We ended up having to use our phone flashlights and a metal arm grabber (trash grabber) from the first room to get the rock out of the hole. The game master (Nico) confirmed it wasn't supposed to be in there because he blamed us for putting it in there. Which is a strange accusation because 1. It's very obvious that the rocks are meant for the volcano and 2. our group of four would've known if one of us dropped the rock in that hole. We're not competitive escape artists but we've done a lot of escape rooms and this was easily the worst and most unimmersive experience I've ever had. Which is unfortunate because the theme was cool and production quality seemed like it'd be high. With just a few changes they could have something great but at the moment I can't recommend this escape room.
