    Titanic Escape Room

Not only are their rooms amazingly detailed, the staff really makes you feel like you're fully immersed in the experience. The rooms are not like other escape rooms because the tasks you do are completely different. They are not like the standard locks that you expect. The thing I love is that it feels like you're part of a movie experience. My family and I will definitely be returning to HHLA to finish all their other rooms, but we plan to visit all the other 60 out locations. As for HHLA, Jackie helped us book our back to back experience. Not only did she help us at the front desk, she was an amazing Game Master for Hotel on Road 66. It was spooky but at the same time, so much fun! She made the whole experience amazing.

Who's Kon?!? We originally wanted a pic inside with the skull like most people did but that didn't work out

I'll try to make an honest review but it's a struggle when the interactions with our host wasn't the best. More on that later. My group (which we have done 300+ rooms collectively) did Godzilla vs King Kong and we had a great time for the most part. The puzzles made sense and the room helps itself with the clues we found. The room also has an A.i. that guides you through your mission. Occasionally we would hear a different voice which was our host. The production quality is top notch! It felt like we were experiencing a special fx show at Universal Studios! I definitely recommend this room for all levels! Our interaction with our host is what brought down the rating. We usually try to book multiple rooms but this time it didn't happen. The other room we wanted to do was available but miscommunication prevented us from booking it. We were under the impression that we couldn't book it with smaller groups even though the site said it does. Also there was a kiosk for us to book the original room we had planned and when we ran into an issue on the touch screen he didn't offer to help us. Instead, he watched us struggle for a good 5 minutes. After we escaped he took our photo but he didn't adjust the settings on the iPad to get a good shot with the skull. He took us to the front of our room instead but didn't even get the whole name of the room in the shot. It's just some minor fixes that could help elevate the memory.

Been here 3x and 2 were good, 1 was terrible. Good: a good game master is a big differentiator. The game master triggers clues and s/he must be aware when you have solved a puzzle. The King Kong and Casino rooms were fun. Casino room was harder than the rating suggests. Bad: did the Smurf room with a rookie game master. He didn't trigger things when we solved a puzzle so we spent time redoing things so he could see it. Newbie game masters need to spend a few weeks being an assistant or shadowing an experienced one

Our group of 6 came here for opening weekend of this new room: Godzilla vs Kong Our game master (Anthony) was very friendly and professional. He described all the rules of the game and provided group with a couple clues when we got stuck on a couple puzzles. Overall, the production quality of the game was very high. Since we were one of the first to experience this new room, they also gifted each of us with a gift box containing a souvenir pen, keychain, and $5 gift card. The game itself was definitely medium difficulty level because our group completed it with 15 minutes remaining. We have done much more difficult rooms in the past so we can judge this room accordingly using our prior escape room experiences. I would still recommend this room for fans of Godzilla vs Kong and the Monsterverse movies. Even escape room newbies would enjoy this room.

Game master Chandler was great! Such a good experience ,I've been to one other down on Hollywood blvd. that shut down and this one was probably better than that aswell .finished the doctor room with 20 min to spare with 5 people .a good scare too .

We were celebrating a friend's birthday and did the Hotel on Route 666 room. Holy Cow! It was SO scary, but in a good way. The room was fresh, clean, new and super authentic. We actually felt like we were in a haunted hotel. Our Game Master Darius was on point and his masterful spooky vocal stylings added to scaring the beejesus out of us. He is also just a super cool guy... If you're up for a SPOOKY challenge, this room is for you.

    Godzilla vs Kong room!

I love the variety of themed rooms at this location, and SummerAnne was so accommodating and made our experience top tier! Had a great time!

By far the highest production value in any escape room I've stepped foot in. It's the most expensive escape room as well, but DEFINITELY for a good reason. I did the Godzilla vs Kong escape room, and every single puzzle felt intuitive and also went with the story. We had a big group, and they were happy to include everyone. I even got a birthday discount because it was 2 days before my birthday! The staff member was so kind, and did a great job at setting the stage and context for the room. If I'm ever in LA, I'm definitely going to try the other rooms!

Ask the Community - 60out Escape Rooms

How long should I plan for this evening to enjoy with friends?

I would say two hours. Arrive at least a half hour early to find parking, sign any paperwork, and get comfortable. Then allow time after the one hour event to take photos, pay, and discuss the experience.

HI! Does this location and your Melrose location have the same rooms?

I think each location has different rooms. That has been my experience.

There's only two of us - Anyone have any particular room(s) you would recommend? We are new to the escape room experience. Thank you! (Also, my boyfriend is a sci fi buff so if there are rooms that lean in that direction, that would be great! )

We did Casino Heist and made it out with 2 min to spare. A lot to do but not too much for 2 of us. It was my dads 1st time.

Is this place designed with secret rooms and trap doors?

    Yes

I was wondering if this location would have any issues with claustrophobia?

I doubt it. Most of the rooms are pretty spacious

I would totally give this place more stars if I could! Whether you are new to escape rooms or you…read morehave done more than your fingers can count, you NEED to check out this particular location!! Even though 'Maze Rooms' has several locations, they have different owners so you won't get the same vibe from all of them. This particular one along with West LA/Santa Monica Blvd location have the same owners. I called on a weekend and Curtis happened to answer the phone. He was so patient with my questions and you can tell he loves escape rooms and wants to create the best experience for everyone. He designs these rooms and really adds a lot of detail that you don't see with some other companies. After picking his brain, we ended up choosing "They're Coming" and it is the most difficult room at this location. Don't let that scare you, you can ask for clues and really tailor it to your own level so that it's fun for everyone. We've done just over 50 escape rooms so we try to ask for as few clues as possible. So let's talk about the experience. We showed up and we were greeted by Brooke who was our game master. She was awesome! She made sure to answer our questions before we got started and didn't rush us at all. She definitely set the stage for a great time and even told us about the leaderboards they have posted. We didn't make the top list but we'll be back! Once we got into the room it was instantly engaging. We did hit a tough spot and had to ask for a couple clues and also realized that we didn't plug something in all the way so that ate up some time but we still made it out with time left. One of the things I liked about this room was that it was more of a story line, not just a theme. You're literally moving along the story as you go as opposed to just hearing a story before you go in a room that basically tells you what the goal is and the whole room just fits a theme like pirates or zombies or western. For some of you this may not make sense but trust me, not all escapes rooms are created equal. The puzzles were very creative and they all made sense. This room flowed really well, much better than I thought it would. There wasn't one puzzle that I didn't like and there was a lot of attention to detail. It wasn't a really dark room and there wasn't anything crazy scary but some kids may not like some of the props or a couple interactions. Just keep in mind it is a zombie apocalypse story. They have other options if you think this might not fit what you're looking for. So once we got done, Olivia also helped us out and she had the same positive vibe as Brooke. Overall, this is one of the best escape rooms I've been to. A few bonuses - If you missed it, there is currently (6/27/25) a Yelp promo code. They already have great prices compared to some others. Your room is private so you don't have to share with strangers. Parking was not difficult and we went on a Saturday evening. You can tip using Venmo or Cash App, I believe, so you don't need cash. It's easy to book online. What more do you need?! Go book a room! I copied the basic info from their site to make it easier for anyone who is considering this room. The plot: "The undead have risen in the heart of Los Angeles, where your group decided to do a simple, fun escape room. But now, the government has quarantined your entire surroundings so leaving is no longer an option. Your only chance is to find shelter, barricade yourselves in and get help before "THEY" get you.

Once you enter the rooms, it feels like you're jumping into another world; each room felt like a set on a movie. Huge shoutout out to our live actor, Sasha, for creating such an immersive experience, following along our gameplay, and providing gentle nudges along the way. The folks here have a clear idea on the pacing of each room, and spaces hints out to keep you on track. Generally, Escape Game LA has a lot more puzzles than the average escape room experience. We did the Murder in a London room which takes you back to 1889 where a murderer is on the loose in the dark alleyway of Victorian London. Started off with the alley and then the pub. Clues are scattered throughout the pub as well as hidden all through the alleyway. Just keep an eye out as things are hidden all over the place. It's very easy to mess but if you drive slowly, it is literally right next to the building. You turn in and there should be a wellness center on your left. Continue to go forward and turn left and the parking garage is there. It has multiple levels going down. It's typically about $1 for an hour and no they do not validate. There is free parking nearby in another garage but for a dollar to be able to walk up and be right there is much better in my opinion. When you arrive, you call the phone number on the front door and they come unlock the door to let you in the inside. Has multiple VR experiences aside from VR room itself. There are multiple spaces so more than one group could have an experience at the same time. Once you sign the waivers, they take you back to your space that is reserved and put the headsets on for you. After putting on the headset to your timer starts and you start your gaming experience. Pretty easy to understand instructions from the game guide. Just try your best not to walk into any walls and respect the boundaries. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the airflow is not great so you definitely feel sweaty on your face but other times they'll turn on the fans and it feels good the whole time you're there. Definitely great for less active activity but still very engaging. They don't really explain the game to you and kind of leave you to figure it out on your own, but the games are not super complicated to understand. The game guides are pretty nice and quick to help out with technical issues. You cannot hear other games that are happening at the same time as you. They are there and the space is open, but VR headset quickly muffles out any other sound so it's very easy to focus on your own game. Great place if you don't have anything to do for an hour in the afternoon. And it's so close to the 3rd St Promenade that you can walk over and experience that when you're done. We typically like to walk over to Go Greek on Ocean Avenue afterward for a fun FroYo snack.

The employees were friendly enough, but it was surprisingly difficult to get straightforward answers to simple questions. It felt like normal conversations turned into unnecessary confusion, which made the customer service experience frustrating. Overall, the place felt dead compared to my last visit. The energy was gone, and it came across like the employees simply didn't care about the business anymore. It's disappointing to see such a noticeable decline in only a few months.
