They do not share the prices they already have listed in the binder on the phone. Which is a blanket cost for touching the parts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole process was ridiculous, if not for other reasons I would have paid the $69 and sent them away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Absolutely unhelpful person on the phone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was charged $1200 to replace delta shower cartridge replacement. He told me it would require a lot of work. The only thing the person did was turn the main water off, drain the water which I had already done and the rest of the water was took two mins to drain, put in the new part which cost ($80). Calibration of heat. And turning back water on . This is the most ridiculous amount I paid for. The whole work took 20-30mins. When I called them after and asked why I was charged I never got a break down of the cost. I asked quotes for other services and they are over priced. There better and cheaper options available. My handyman who came later said I was overcharged for the work as well. I would not go by the other reviews in here. Training, drug testing and other is not done for the specific job and that's a lame excuse to overcharge customer and lose their trust! read more

Had a leak from my kitchen into the ceiling below. I was certain it was a leak in the water line between floors because I could find no leak under the sink. Monty quickly zeroed in on the dishwasher and sure enough it was a corroded water line on the dishwasher. Monty installed a seperate water valve so that I could turn off the water to the dishwasher and still use the sink until the washer is fixed. Monty did a great job diagnosing and fixing a leak we were having with a shutoff valve below our sink. He had sample parts on hand showing the issue with our valve and the proposed replacement valve and its improvement. He stopped by, quoted, and fixed the issue same day. Thank you so much to the great people at Craftsman Plumbing for diagnosing and repairing my aunts home in North Seattle! We called and scheduled an appointment because the dining room ceiling in my aunt home was sometimes dripping water but no plumbing was right above the area that we knew of. My plumber Dusty showed up about 10 minutes early and I could tell he really cared about solving problems. He asked questions about what was happening, I showed him what I knew and then he started his investigation. He did some testing and ultimately was able to determine that the shower drain in the upstairs bathroom was the cause, when my aunt used the shower, the water was running down a channel in the ceiling to the point where we noticed it in the dining room below. Dusty was able to make that repair, same day and at a fair price which was fantastic! Before leaving we offered a home evaluation where a rusty water supply line to the old water heater was found, we are going to replace those next week with Craftsman Plumbing. Its hard to find skilled caring people in service today, we are very glad we found Craftsman Plumbing! read more

I called Craftsman because I was worried about the age of my water heater and was considering replacing it. A friend had used Craftsman when she had a similar issue and she had had a positive experience with them. Monty was the plumber who showed up, and I can't say enough good things about the service he provided. Monty was professional, honest, knowledgeable and friendly. I was relieved when he told me the water heater was still in good condition, and I just needed to keep on eye on it. Before I called Craftsman, I had also received a postcard in the mail offering a free plumbing inspection and a discount on any repairs made. Since I live in an older home, I thought it was a good idea to have that done. When the inspection was complete, Monty again gave me good news! He said the plumbing was actually in good shape. He did find a leak in the crawlspace from the toilet, so I had that repaired, and Monty repaired it quickly and efficiently. He also left my bathroom cleaner than when he found it! One more thing about Monty: [[HIGHLIGHT]]He communicates well. On the postcard I received from Craftsman, they said their plumbers don't "mansplain." I really appreciated that, and it is true. They do good work! I have used them personally and commercially for work. I appreciate that they are committed to completing jobs and standing by their work. Work they've done for me: sewer line work, sewer line repair, scoping, leak investigation, replacement of supply lines on washing machine, repair and replacement of sections of galvanized lines, new valves, sump pump replacement, grease trap cleaning and inspection and other jobs I probably can't recall. Oh, once they even were able to help me in a crisis on a holiday! They have worked on newer construction buildings for me, as well as my old 1900's old house and they have done good. Old stuff is complicated so I appreciate the care taken. Once they had to come back and repair some work and they did so right away and were committed to their warranty. That's a rare quality. I've had two experiences with Craftsman Plumbing. The first one last year was a BIG job. They basically redid my sewer lines, which was a very difficult job since my house is located on a steep slope and the sewer lines are 8 to 10 ft under ground. Last week I called them back to do a spot repair for a kitchen drain pipe. While the magnitude of the two jobs is vastly different, their approach was top-notch in both cases. Unfortunately I've had bad experiences with plumbing companies in the past and was biased. Craftsman Plumbing completely changed that. They are highly professional, yet personal. They spend time to thoroughly scope the work so that if surprises arise during the job is on them, not on the customer. What a horrible experience. I wish I could give 0 stars. This company is so deceitful. I called to get an estimate to replace a water heater. The technician came on time, the only plus. He went on to quote me about $14,000 to replace A WATER HEATER! They 1st told me the radiant is not connected which turns out to be a lie. 2nd they said they would need to break walls to connect the water heater properly, leaving me with open walls. Decided to get a second opinion. Called a Water Heater company. They came out, replaced the exact same water heater, no breaking walls, said the radiant heating is fully functional ! Paid about $4k. (Still a lot, but needed it done). The water heater and radiant heating is working great!! Talk about gouging a customer! read more

Craftsman Plumbing installed a kitchen faucet in my downtown condo in Seattle in December 2023. THE COST WAS $950 AND I PROVIDED THE FAUCET! The technician did a good job. However, he took 3 hours to complete the project that included looking at a bathroom drain and shower handle. He realigned the shower handle but otherwise only installed the kitchen faucet. He showed me a cost list which the company does not provide until they are on site. read more

Dusty and his team helped put in the full tankless water heater system throughout the house. This was for both domestic water and under floor heating. After some initial issues with the system, which is to be expected and which they did come out to fix, the system worked well. 6 years after the installation the system stopped producing hot water. I called Craftsman to come and take a look to determine what was wrong. They charged me 70$ just to show up on site and look at it. Then, when they couldn't figure it out, their flat fee system said that it would cost 600$ more to simply CALL THE MANUFACTURER TO TROUBLE SHOOT IT. I would have thought this was part of the initial visit and diagnosing it. However, a phone call was just too far for them. I feel very nickel and dimed at this point. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless they have VERY deep pockets. read more

Montory from Craftsman Plumbing came to our condo to help us this morning. We received a text beforehand and he came at the time promised. He was polite, friendly and courteous. We had a leak under the kitchen faucet; he even called around plumbing suppliers to see if he could find the parts for it. We ended up replacing the whole faucet, but we appreciated him trying to give us options. The installation seemed tricky and it took a while, but he was pleasant throughout. He also explained the potential problems (with regard to the current fixtures/pipes) to us and what to watch out for. We're a little clueless when it comes to plumbing, so his tips were very helpful. He took away the old faucet and the packaging for the new one (which we'd bought separately); he also cleaned up the work area & improved the positioning/arrangement of the hoses under the sink. Each time Montory entered our place he was wearing a proper face mask and booties. I found everything to be very professional. Based on this experience, if we were to have a problem in the future, I'd definitely call Craftsman Plumbing again. Some earlier reviews mentioned pricing - it may not be the cheapest, but the price was stated upfront before work, so it wasn't as though there was a surprise. I'd rather have someone do a good job for a higher price than having to fix it multiple times. They seemed to know that they're doing and they guarantee their work, so I personally think it's worth it. read more

I have been in the middle of a bathroom remodel, and I have it gutted down to the studs. When I got a bid for the $3900 (from someone else), I thought it was a little high. I'm literally down to the studs and it's all open below. So then I got a bid from Craftsman plumbing. They would NOT bid in a way that showed their hourly rate. But they bid my job at $16,900, instead of $3,900. Now, to make it "apples to apples" I need to say that the comparable portions of scope are $15,000 of the Craftsman bid to the original $3,900 bid. Keep in mind that both of the bids are for the plumbing, no fixtures, no framing, only plumbing...in one bathroom. So I got a third bid, and got the work that I wanted done for less than $2,000. And it took one day! So, that basically means that Craftsman Plumbing was bidding my job at somewhere over $1,500 per hour! (I guess that's a nice rate if you can get it). STAY AWAY...they are trying to rip people off. read more

I used Craftsman Plumbing when I noted a leak coming from bathroom into my kitchen. They came saw it was the old toilet and I replaced. Fast forward 3 months- found water under the tub. Curses! Called on a Friday afternoon and they sent out Drew.turns out the overflow valve was loose. He fixed it and recaulked. No charge. So relieved and grateful to Craftsman and Drew:) 5 stars!! read more

Buyer/Scheduling Beware. Called them 3-days ago to schedule semi-urgent issue (leaking faucet that's getting worse by the day) as well has 2-3 other plumbing tasks around the house. They confirmed a schedule window of 8:30-9:30 on 6/3. Received a call at 8:22 am the morning of saying the plumber assigned would not be able to fulfill the previously scheduled appointment. They offered to reschedule an appointment for 5-6 days later?! I requested to speak to the owner to further remedy the situation and to find more urgent, viable scheduling options....he couldn't come up with any. Things happen, I get it....but not fulfilling an appointment and being thrown at the back of the line is an unacceptable way of doing business. Horrible pricing. The plumber was nice enough but, charged us $630+ to connect our new range to the gas. He used the exact same pipe that was in place (no new part needed) and it was done in 10 minutes. Price gouging at its finest. read more

When I had a plumbing issue that I needed help with I asked around and Craftsman Plumbing came highly recommended. They were able to accommodate my schedule with an appointment the next day.
