Excellent service for an emergency plumbing problem (clogged and backed up drain). Kiera scheduled an appointment within two hours of our call on a Sunday. Dane found the clog, photographed the line and recommended hydro-jetting of the line. After Kiera scheduled the procedure for the next day, John and Greg hydro-jetted the pipe to the sewer in the street. removing 49 years of grease buildup. Photos taken during and after the hydro-jetting were sent to us for our records. Honest and straightforward, with focus on doing quality work rather than extracting maximum immediate revenue from a customer. Due to drops of water appearing on the exterior underside of the overhang below my kitchen sink I suspected a small leak. After researching plumbers I chose Ben's Plumbing based on their positive reviews and BBB accreditation, switching from the firm we had used several times in the past. Derek and Taylor arrived and were able to find the general area of the leak. In order to expose the pipes and pinpoint the leak, they concluded that a hole would need to be cut in the groove-and-tongue staggered planks that formed the underside of the overhang. Though they could cut the hole if I wished, they suggested that I have it done by a specialist for aesthetic reasons; Ben's could then return and fix the exposed pipe. I followed their suggestion. After the pipes were exposed I was able to locate the very wee leak. Ben's Plumbing then sent Derek and Taylor to do the repair. They did excellent work, and the total cost was very reasonable with no surprises. Josh and Alex truly went above and beyond for us. They were here for three visits and handled some genuinely challenging work with professionalism and care. The main job involved replacing a toilet drain lead bend, which turned out to be very complex - they had to cut through a joist to do it properly, and one night they worked all the way until 7pm to make sure it was done right. What really stood out was everything they helped with outside the original scope. They installed both a toilet and a sink even though that wasn't part of their job, and the sink required installing the faucet and assembling legs onto it, they just took it on without hesitation. They also went upstairs to help us diagnose a toilet valve leak and helped fix it on the spot even though that wasn't a part of their scope. We also had our 1-year-old baby at home during the work, and Josh and Alex were incredibly mindful of him the entire time; making sure stair areas were safe, keeping tools secured, and being very aware of where he was. As parents, that level of consideration meant a lot to us. Throughout the process, they were patient, thorough, and clearly cared about doing quality work, not just checking boxes. It's rare to find tradespeople who are this willing to help when things get complicated. We're incredibly grateful for their effort and would absolutely recommend them. Don't review often but Eph did a great job hydro-jetting my clogged sewer line. He quoted a two hour price at the start of the job but worked hard for almost 4 hours before he was done - but kept the same price! Once we learned where was more work to be done, Brian and his team were so wonderful working to fit us into the schedule as we had a bit of a crazy timeline needing to get work done before leaving town. I am a new home owner so working with plumbers and other services is very new to me. Brian stayed on the phone with my husband for as long as we needed to answer all our questions. I called Ben's Plumbing to replace my broken garbage disposal in 2022, and I thought I left a review at that time, but I don't see it, so this is long overdue! My job was scheduled quickly and Ben himself came to take care of it. He was quick and friendly in doing the work, and he even adjusted the hinges on my front door on his way out because they were crooked and making the door stick! Fast forward a few years of smooth disposing and easy door opening, and all of a sudden last week my disposal was noisy, rumbling, and shaking. I followed the instructions Ben had given me to clear jams and then YouTubed my way through everything else I could find, but it remained rumbly even after clearing everything I could see. I found that I still had Ben's phone number, so the next morning I sent him a text asking about it. Not long ago, my sister-in-law told me the garbage disposal was not working. Ben himself had replaced it years ago. Unfortunately I did not investigate, but did call Ben's. It was not emergent but someone did come in a timely fashion. They quickly discovered that my sister-in-law, rooting around under the sink had inadvertently unplugged it. They were there maybe 25 minutes. Obviously I felt badly for taking their time a fully expected to be billed something. I did not expect the almost $400 bill I got. Ben's plumbing never did any work for me. They gave me a window within which they would show up. The job they scheduled prior to mine ran long and they were not able to honor the window they gave me. This was frustrating because I had been waiting around for them to arrive for several hours. They called to reschedule but it was at a date several days later and I was sitting on an active leak, so needless to say, I had to use another plumber who was better able to honor their timing commitments. I'm sure Ben's plumbing does good work, but I would not know. Michelle, the scheduler called to apologize, which is appreciated, but at that point the damage had been done and I have decided not to use their service again because my time is, in my opinion, valuable. read more

We recently contacted Ben's Plumbing for an estimate on clearing our exterior drains, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Jack, the service manager, spent nearly an hour at our home conducting a thorough assessment. In the end, he told us -- quite honestly -- that no work was needed. He was so meticulous and took so much time inspecting the drains, I assumed there must've been a mix-up and this was more than just an estimate visit. But when I asked, Jack assured me there would be no charge -- not a penny. And not a hint of upselling. Can you believe that? On top of it all, Jack was both professional and delightful. When was the last time you could say you genuinely enjoyed having a contractor at your home? He could teach a master class in customer service and communication. It's such a rare treat these days to have an interaction with a service provider that's both informative and so genuinely pleasant. Ben's Plumbing sent 2 plumbers to my house today to see if one of the smart toilets we bought from Costco would work in our space. We had a Kohler smart toilet in the space previously and it had broke. They were really nice, professional and efficient. They installed it in an hour, and charged me their hourly rate, which was way less expensive than the project quotes I'd received from a few other plumbers. Smart toilets can be a lot more time to install, so I understand why they often get quoted high, but since we already had one, we didn't feel the higher priced project quotes made sense since all of the set up was already there. These guys were great! I was able to get an appt within a few days of calling, they were super flexible with my less than flexible schedule. They called back right away, were on time. Really really happy all around! And my boys are so happy to have a toilet they can use again in their bathroom!! read more

These guys were just incredible. We had kind of a tricky issue with the plumbing under a toilet. We checked three other plumbers and got quotes ranging from $2700 - $4200. And that was just to cut a lead pipe, replace it with modern materials and mount the toilet on a new ring/grease fitting. All the bids included some strange tinker toy like plumbing routing to fix the problem. One plumber suggested that we cut a hole into a plaster wall to gain access to the pipes! Ben's plumbing came in at $1200 and that included a brand new toilet! No strange rerouting of the plumbing. Just an in place repair. The plumber, Nic Huse, was unbelievably competent and efficient. With both encounters the experience was positive in every way - they were responsive, able to come out fairly quickly, professional, and cleaned-up well after they were done. We had a water main leak that may have resulted from work done on a neighbors property. Their contractor said he would bring a plumber in to fix it, but the "plumber" turned out to be the contractor, and he had no idea what he was doing; he started the job, and then quit after we found that he double-billed us for materials. Another plumber quoted an astronomical price, and couldn't get to it for two weeks. Two more never called back. Two guys from Ben's/HD Partners showed up the next day, and knew exactly what needed to be done. They got parts from their shop, and 1-1/2 hours later the pipe was replaced with solid fittings, both deep holes filled in, and the sidewalk dirt hosed down, for about 1/4 of what the other plumber quoted. Very competent and professional...worked fast and got the job done quickly at a fair price. I've heard of a few contractors doing stellar work for new customers to get great reviews, and then gouging them later, so I'm hoping that this is a company that always does stellar work at a fair price. I'll be calling Ben's again, so we'll find out. ;-) read more

Ben and his crew are simply the best. They've done a few different installs and fixes for us over the years. This time they replaced our toilets and bathroom faucets/drains. One of the toilets had a defective part, and the warranty replacement was going to take a few weeks, so Ben found and installed a replacement part from a returned toilet in the meantime so that it remained functional. Once the replacement part came in, he came back and swapped it in. Ben also fixed a hose bib that would always squeal when the sprayer opened or closed. The cause was mysterious, but he eventually figured it out and now it works perfectly! Ben not only gets the job done, he also teaches you how to diagnose problems and do routine maintenance. I used to put drain cleaner down our bathroom sinks, but won't anymore after Ben showed me what it did to the pipe threads! Instead he showed me how to remove the cool drain plugs he installed (which pop out easily--no tools required) in order to fish out the hair that accumulates. If you have plumbing needs, call Ben.
