They completely transformed three full bathrooms for us, and the final results are absolutely amazing. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the finished product exceeded our expectations (one of the best tile teams!), and walking into our newly renovated spaces brings us so much joy every day. While a beautiful finished product is important, the most critical part of hiring a general contractor is finding someone you can truly trust. Throughout the entire project, Dani & Sabina proved to be a reliable and deeply professional partner. The lack of…read moreoversight, accountability, and professionalism turned what should have been a straightforward renovation into a drawn-out, stressful ordeal. We recently completed an extensive renovation with D2A, including whole-home interior paint, full kitchen remodel, whole-home flooring, fireplace renovation, and upgraded electrical panel. We were promised an October 2025 completion, but the work did not finish until the end of April 2026. What could have been an exciting home project became prolonged, exhausting, and unnecessarily difficult. Dani/D2A operates far more as a sales-focused or front-facing contact than a contractor capable of actively managing a complex remodel. Once the contract was signed, the level of involvement and management dropped significantly. There was no meaningful oversight, no proactive quality control, and no walkthrough or presentation of completed areas or phases of work. We were left to give specific direction to workers directly and had to inspect everything ourselves at every stage, repeatedly reporting problems that should have been caught internally. The volume and severity of issues were unacceptable. Our stairs were initially installed with finishing nails sticking up and severely uneven steps that required a full redo; even after the redo, we were left with creaking steps that we accepted. Cabinet paint and installation required extensive correction, causing months of delays where we had no handles on our cabinets. The backsplash was installed incorrectly and had to be completely redone. Flooring was installed below standard over uneven foundation, with no mention of an option, added cost or not, to properly address it until after all work was completed. Correcting it then would have extended the construction-site state of our home for additional weeks, so we chose to cut our losses rather than endure another round of disruption. These were not minor punch-list items. They were obvious, avoidable mistakes reflecting a lack of basic craftsmanship, attention to detail, communication processes, and oversight. Instead of addressing these issues professionally, Dani was frequently defensive and dismissive, minimizing legitimate concerns rather than taking ownership. While all issues caused by his team's work except the uneven flooring were eventually corrected at no added monetary cost, this came only after weeks of debate and deflection. The eventual solution was asking us to take time off work to be present for all work done for weeks, despite our clear, detailed documentation of what needed to be done. Often, after we spent hours preparing a documented plan and providing it to D2A, workers would arrive and tell us they had never received the information, then look to us for direction. Our oversight got the job done, but it required costly time off from work and reduced the value of paying for a general contractor's expertise. As a married couple, we also experienced a clear and troubling difference in communication: when wife asked questions, responses were often belittling or disrespectful, while the same questions from husband were met with a noticeably more professional tone. The project extended roughly six additional months, and the repeated delays and rework resulted in real, out-of-pocket costs for our family. We had to stay in Airbnbs with our young child because the home was not safe to occupy during some stages of the extra construction. This disruption was avoidable and resulted from poor management and repeated mistakes. Perhaps most concerning, during the final sign-off, when the cost to correct the uneven foundation under the flooring was discussed, Dani offered to cover that work in exchange for both husband and wife leaving a positive review. Since online reviews played a role in our decision to hire D2A, this raises serious concerns about the integrity of their reputation. Proceed with extreme caution.

Initial walk through was clear and I was given a reasonable quote without Izabella even asking me what my budget was. All the other contractors I did a walk through with asked me what my budget was before giving me a quote. Izabella worked with the city permits, my difficult HoA rules, and was responsive throughout the entire project. She gave great suggestions, fixed things that were not up to her standards even when I didn't notice, and always found excellent solutions to little problems that would come up. Above all, Izabella is always consistently calm and never seems to be fazed/stressed about anything! Her team, from the electricians, plumbers, dry wall people, painters, cabinet guy and others were all excellent and great at their jobs. I am so happy with how everything turned out and I highly recommend Izabella's team!

I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! I highly recommend hiring them for your next project! They did a great job. I ultimately went over budget but that's totally expected (and totally on me)! Thank you Frame Build & Design!

He asked me very detailed questions that I hadn't thought about yet. I knew that he was detail-oriented and that he was already invested in my project even though I hadn't given him the go-ahead. I planned to do a room addition, which required an architect and getting those plans approved by the city. He took care of all the back and forth so that my focus could be on other aspects of the project. I had walls knocked down, a window put in, and new walls built. I added some aesthetic upgrades, which he took care of quickly. Daniel always responded quickly anytime I reached out to him. I was never stressed about the project, and he made sure to stop by regularly to look at the work that was done. He even noticed things that I hadn't and made sure the crew came back to correct them. All trades were very respectful and did good work. We always knew when somebody was coming and around what time. There were no big surprises on cost changes. They warned us after removal of soffit there could be things that may cost more and there were. There were tons of communication wires that needed to be removed we didn't know were there. Water pex pipe had to be moved, etc. so we understood the extra cost. We love our kitchen and would recommend them! The cabinets are great, trim work is great, inside and outside window installation and stucco repair were done very well. Electrical and plumbing contractors were top notch. The only thing that needed a little improvement was the backsplash tile amount calculation. We had to order more twice! It was a good thing the material was fairly easy to get in Anaheim.
