You can both get a $5 mug here and an expensive Le Creuset French Oven here, with everything in between. The selection includes a lot of white dishware, Le Creuset cooking items, lobster-themed dishes and serverware, a huge selection of coffee mugs with very reasonable price tags on them, cooking utensils, kitchen appliances, napkins, tablecloths, you name it! The one (major) drawback to this store is that they are NOT WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE and have a large front step, as well as a tall flight of stairs inside. It would be nice if they put a doorbell by their entrance so that someone in a wheelchair requiring assistance could let the people at the register know to come to the front door. Even nicer would be if they got an inexpensive, foldable metal ramp off of Amazon to put out in order to accommodate their wheelchair-using would-be customers. However, they WILL help someone out at the front door if they notice you there. I give them a little more leeway than I would for a business off-island, because on Martha's Vineyard, there just aren't a lot of options for well-stocked, affordable kitchenware stores. There's not much else to say, other than the usual Martha's Vineyard caveat: call ahead to double-check their hours, especially in the off-season. This is an excellent store, and I recommend it to anyone looking for kitchenware or a little island kitsch on the Vineyard!

The only ones I have written over the years ( that I recall) are for my computer tech extraordinaire, Martin Wang, of Wang P.C, in Brookline, MA and my guitar tech, Mark Herbert, also of Brookline MA. They are both the absolute best in class. Meanwhile, year after year, Eric Medeiros, who is both an appliance retailer and repairman, has always been there for myself and my family. For 20 years or more, he has professionally and skillfully advised, purchased, maintained and stood by all of them. Hexbailed us out with repairs/ replacements and whatever was needed, at various times( including last minute moments of desperation). Trucking up to the Gay head/Aquinnah area has never been a thrill for many subcontractors/ tradesmen and so forth. But Eric has always come through. Sales wise, when one considers the extra time, trucking/ freight expense and so forth involved in purchasing most any large item, Eric has always managed to offer us very fair and competitive prices on all of our purchases. He is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, experienced. Of note is his unique awareness of the island's unique weather tendencies and which brand/ model/ type of appliance( for various reasons) and thus which particular appliance might do best under said particular circumstances. I felt that it was about time that I got around to acknowledging my appreciation of his skills and efforts on our behalf. A very knowledgeable woman answered the phone, looked up the appliance (which was in their database) and promised a service visit "by Tuesday" (on a Saturday; not a crime for MV august). Someone actually came that Saturday, diagnosed the problem, and ordered a part. If the replacement goes as smoothly as this first visit I am their customer for life.

They have serving suggestions and select recipes for the current season. They ahve things to serve them in (although the bottles themselves look very nice). Downstairs are the other kitchen items with special seasonings for everything you might want to serve, special things to serve them on, etc. etc. etc. We bought a popcorn bowl with a grate in the bottom for the uncooked kernels to fall through. We've used it several time in the first week home and it really works. The popcorn itself is delicious and the seasonings we bought for it make it even more so! I'm going to visit this store, and its sister store across the street, every time I'm in Vineyard Haven.

I have tried for months to receive these rebates, many emails and calls with no response. Finally reached the COO Jay Upton and explained my situation with months of frustration. His ridiculous suggestion was to return the appliances which means hiring an electrician and plumber to disconnect them for pickup. I tried to reach the owner several times but no response. In addition, KAM sent the wrong refrigerator and requested me to pay a 30% return fee and another delivery charge which I refused to pay. Their sales manager Frank even stated there were no GE rebates at that time. After I provided documentation on the rebates given to me from Jack, Frank said to call GE. I contacted GE and their rebate company and since months passed, GE said to contact the dealer for their assistance. KAM provided no assistance, made excuse after excuse and I never received these rebates $800 rebates promised. I thought I would support local businesses instead of the Big Box stores. It was a Mistake. The story they post on customer satisfaction is a joke. I strongly suggest you shop elsewhere. Hopefully the owner will contact me after this reading this review.
