I have a 31 yr old refrigerator (are you familiar with the term "they don't make em like that anymore")?? Well I noticed my freezer temp was reading 30 degrees when it should be zero , so immediately I started to clean the condenser coils because I know when they get dirty with dust buildup it effects the temperature. So after removing a good amount of dust with my wire brush, I was just about finished when I accidentally knock a wire out of place in the back of the fridge which cause a loud clanging noise! So I unplugged the fridge, removed all the food and researched the issue and contemplated if I should call a repairman or not ( after all it is 31 yrs old) but my better judgement prevailed and I called CS Appliance Service . Spoke to Cliff the owner , told him my predicament, he told me he would do his best to come out the day I called or the next day. Well he came out making me his last stop of the day which I truly appreciate because he repaired the wire and we plugged the fridge back in. I held my breath to see if the temperature would go back to zero after being unplugged all day & part of next day and it worked!! ( Wife was convinced proper temp wouldn't be restored and we would have to shop for a new fridge). I am so glad I called Cliff and I am hoping I can get a few more years out of my great old Amana fridge. Bottom-line: Like they don't make new things now anywhere as good as the old stuff, it is also very hard to find good honest hardworking repairmen like Cliff too! It seems Cliff runs hot and cold in his service reviews. I would have to agree. Until our most recent service call our review would be favorable. Our latest call was for our fridge which Cliff repaired. However in the course of pulling th appliance out Cliff broke the switch and knob of our stove. The parts to repair the stove cost 200 dollars which my husband told Cliff he would cover. It has been over 3 months and he does not respond to texts. This guy ripped me off! Beware! I called CS Appliance to fix a dryer. He came out and tested the dryer's components and said it needed a part. He said he was going to order the part and then he was going on a skiing trip but would be back in one week. He said he would be back with part to install it then. He asked for a substantial amount of money and I wrote him a check which he cashed. He never returned nor returned any of my calls. That was well over a month ago. I have called him many times and left numerous voice mail messages for him. I have texted him countless times and emailed him. He has never called me back. I'm now asking him here publicly to return my money. I'm sure I'm not the first person he has ripped off but I hope by writing this review and WARNING I can help prevent this from happening to others. Don't use this appliance repair guy! read more

Cliff came by to replace a cracked glass stove top for us. I had thought of trying to replace it myself, but looked at a couple on youtube and thought better of it. Glad I did, because it looked like a lot more intricate than I thought it would be. We purchased the part, so all we needed was the install. Price was reasonable for 2 hours of work, and maybe slightly higher than what I expected it to be. He said that the stove top replacement was one of the tougher ones to do, so I can understand the extra cost for the difficulty level. I would say my overall rating is 4.5 stars, mostly because he said he would be there from 1-3 and got there at 4:15. He came, replaced the top, and left. Not much else that is needed here. Would give 0 starts of I could. I called to see if they could fix my GE Fridge and gave them the model number and everything and they said they could work on it. A guy came out, opened the fridge, opened the freezer and said I had to call a GE service rep. He was there for all of one minute. Very poor service. He couldn't even tell me what was wrong with it. Just wish he had been honest and said he couldn't work on GE appliances and saved us all some time. read more

I don't usually give 5 stars, but Cliff was good. He came out for a broken dishwasher, ordered the part needed and fixed it a few days later. He was actually $10 less than the estimate. It was a basic and easy transaction, so not a whole lot to say, but things seem to work fine now. read more

Great experience. We have stackable units in our condo and the washer was acting up. Another company only would send two technicians (and charge for both technicians) in case they needed to unstack them, which I thought was kind of weird. I decided to look elsewhere and found and called CS and he was able to find the problem and fix it within about an hour. His cost was half of the what we would of spent going elsewhere. read more

Very,Very Unprofessional. I was referred by a friend who does a lot of business with Cliff Scimone owner and operator of C. S Appliance Repair. A afternoon appointment was set up. I received a phone call around 12 asking me to take a video of the appliance. I did that and called to confirm receipt of video. A hour and a half later I received a call back saying" I got the video and will review it and call you back" At 5pm I really do not expect a call back. This is not a man of his words and can not be believed. C.S Appliance Service owner Cliff Scimone had me WASTE the whole day waiting for him. No call back to apologize or any excuses. This is not the way to treat a customer. If C.S Appliance Serviced did not want the job Cliff Scimone should of said so and not strung a customer along. My advice is to seek a Company with good customer relationship reviews and not this one man band read more
