The first ring she presented me with was the one I fell in love with (see pic attached). And, as luck had it, it fit perfectly! She showed me a few other options just to see if any others stuck, but I felt a connection with the first one. We slept on it a few nights but decided it was the one. When it came time to purchase the ring, the price she offered us was drastically less than what it appraised for. Also, I loved the concept of giving this ring another life. Just because it previously sat on someone else's finger, doesn't make it any less special. On the contrary, I appreciate it even more. However my 5 minutes in this jewelry shop was 5 of the most unpleasant minutes I've ever spent doing business with any retailer. Firstly, a large white dog was present who barked loudly and at length. I mean, loudly! The dog barked incessantly for some time after we arrived, then calmed down enough for me to converse with the jeweler, then ramped up again when another customer entered. My partner's Apple Watch told her that she was in a dangerously loud environment. The entire back half of the shop was gated off to provide a space for this dog. This no doubt colored my experience talking to the jeweler. I brought in a mid-century pearl necklace and bracelet set. It was clear that the necklace needed restringing but it appeared that the bracelet just needed a new clasp ring. The jeweler looked at the bracelet and said, "This needs restringing." I asked why it needed restringing and he repeated that it did need restringing. I asked why he couldn't just replace the ring, and he said, "because it needs to be soldered." I didn't see what that had to do with anything so I asked again and he said, "because it needs to be restrung." Holy moley. I asked again and he said, "because I need some string there to attach it to". I asked why he couldn't attach the ring to the other ring that was still attached to the pearls and he replied, "because it needs to be soldered." Now, I wasn't questioning his expertise. I just need to understand the work that is proposing. So I persisted and said, "Why can't you solder a ring on?" He said, "Because it would harm the pearl next to it." OK, that I can understand, but I felt exasperated that he hadn't been forthcoming. He then explained other reasons why it needed to be restrung. This was educational and interesting, and by then I was convinced that the piece needed to be restrung, but I was left with the feeling that he himself was exasperated with me. I think I would have rebounded from this had his dog not started barking loudly again at just that moment. It was impossible to speak over the barking, and no apology or explanation from the jeweler. The very presence of this dog felt like an insult to me as a customer. The jeweler then went and attended to the customer who'd just entered and spent about 3 minutes with her, without excusing himself from our interaction. I packed up my pearls and left because I knew I didn't want to ever enter that space again. Somehow the other customer was able to accomplish what she needed done despite the barking, and she departed with a smile on her face. She had her own [well behaved] dog so perhaps that gave her a pro-barking bias. I give two stars because this guy probably does excellent work like everyone else here says he does. Of course, wedding bands are such a delicate and personal item that you wear every day - hopefully for the rest of your life - so we were careful as we went to meet Wacek and get a quote and design. We called and he met us the same day allowing as much time as we needed to talk about our needs. Wacek represented the absolute pinnacle of customer service. If you're in the market for a diamond ring (or any ring for that matter), take it from us and don't waste time looking any further. Wacek will take his time to understand what it is your looking for, the timeline you're working with as well as the budget you've set, and get you exactly what you're looking for. Other jewelers quoted more than double what Wacek quoted and needed much more time, and we would have been just a number in line. This was a personal well cared for experience. Outstanding quality diamonds for a very fair price. He truly went above and beyond on more than one occasion to satisfy our requests that changed a few times, and we could not be any happier with the result! Wacek helped us every step of the way with very honest and helpful advice. He also kept his timing promise and delivery promise date (exceeding what he promised) - and that was a pretty exciting phone call for us. In the end, our wedding rings are simply impeccable. I cannot recommend doing business with WJD Exclusives based upon my experience…read more Over the course of days, I negotiated with the company through eBay regarding a customized Rolex. We exchanged multiple offers and counteroffers, with both higher and lower figures throughout the negotiation. Eventually, WJD sent me what appeared to be their final counteroffer through eBay. I accepted it immediately, completed payment in full, and even paid for expedited shipping. Only after payment was completed did the company contact me claiming that the counteroffer had been entered in "error" and asserting that they had intended to send a higher counteroffer rather than the amount actually transmitted through eBay. On that basis, they refused to honor the transaction. I'm extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled afterward. Rather than insisting upon a single outcome, I repeatedly proposed several commercially reasonable compromises, including resuming negotiations from our prior positions, purchasing additional much-higher valued merchandise as a good-faith gesture, and other business-oriented solutions in an effort to preserve what I hoped would become a long-term consumer relationship. Every proposal was summarily rejected. The tone of the communication also changed dramatically. After initially corresponding in a courteous and professional manner, the company began warning me not to contact ownership, threatening to document any attempt to communicate outside of eBay, referencing legal counsel, and declaring the matter closed. I found this especially disappointing given that I had repeatedly expressed my desire to resolve the matter privately, professionally, and without immediately involving eBay's dispute-resolution process. I informed them of the relevant consumer law and eBay's policies... their response was to imply legal action if I spoke of this experience and to potentially have my eBay account itself harmed. In my opinion, this is BEYOND unprofessional. As well, I refuse to be intimidated when I am not in violation of any law for telling eBay users (or anyone else) about my negative experience and their documented refusal to honor the sale and send the product which I lawfully purchased in accordance with eBay policies and buyer protections. My advice to prospective buyers is simple: if you negotiate through eBay's Best Offer system with this seller, keep screenshots of every offer, counteroffer, and message. If you receive and accept a counteroffer, be aware that the company may later characterize it as a pricing error and decline to complete the transaction if they have "Seller's Remorse". That was my experience and as a result, I have taken my business elsewhere and declined the several counter-offers they have made on other Rolex watches I had been negotiating a final price on with them. Trust is EVERYTHING in business and WORD is BOND. If you cannot count on the word and offered prices from a business on eBay then what is the point of even presenting products here with the option to "Make Offer"? When a seller sends a counteroffer through a marketplace, a buyer should be able to rely upon it. If a business later decides that its own counteroffer should simply be disregarded after payment has been accepted, that undermines confidence in the entire negotiation process. Based upon this experience--which I have NEVER experienced with a reputable seller outside of this case--I cannot recommend WJD Exclusives whatsoever. Buyers deserve to know exactly how this transaction was handled before deciding whether to do business with this company. There are other options here. I would strongly recommend looking into them: BUYER BEWARE!
