This example is a good one why I've left the practice - it's poorly run and the support staff isn't trained. The problem comes from their billing department. We have a full insurance for urgent care with a small copay and came here a few times without any issue. However after my wife's last visit in November we received a pretty hefty bill for the visit. According to our insurance there is a simple coding issue on the bill and the billing department needs to update it. After months of back and forth the billing department just recently told us that they can't change the billing code and that only the provider can. We came back physically to the GoHealth to try and get some help. That's where the person at the front desk was going her best to get us to speak with someone. We got a quick phone call from the person in charge who assured us the matter was going to get escalated to upper management and that we will get a feedback really soon. It has been 2 weeks and it's proven impossible to get a feedback by email, phone, or contact form. Today I got a letter from their billing department saying that late fees and debt recollection will apply. Again the one star isn't here for the quality of services but for the hassle and complete lack of assistance trying to get a simple code updated so that Northwell Health can get paid by our insurance.

Everyone was kind, patient and professional. The rapid test came back negative but they sent it to a lab and called me two days later with the positive results for strep throat. Booo. But if I'm being honest, why even bother scheduling an appointment with the facility if you aren't going to be seen for 2+ hours after? I made an appointment for 2:20pm and wasn't seen until about 4:10pm. They close at 5pm. It didn't even give me enough time to truly troubleshoot & resolve my issues via calling (which also needs a serious update and give the option to speak to a representative faster instead of making 90% of tue responses AI...). The doctor I saw was polite, but definitely didn't listen when I told her about my concerns regarding switching a medication I was taking. Not only that, the doctor just completely gave me the wrong medication that I did not ask for. Unbelievable, especially when I explained three times in detail why I was choosing such a medication. I had my pharmacy and the patient representative send messages to please call me back urgently I have yet to receive a response. Maybe it is just this location, but for a first experience I am very disappointed. I wouldn't recommended this place to anyone unless you have no other options around you.
