fine selection of soft scarves, cute winter hats, gloves, clutches and purses are displayed nicely throughout. fancy formal items as well as everyday well-made leather purses. i even noticed some adorable birdcage blushers. i know why they call it cranky's. because the woman working here was an unapologetic bitch. interestingly enough, it was not directed at me, but at another customer who was asking if they would buy some of her gently-used designer purses on consignment. i am not familiar with the store's policy on such a thing, however the response given to her was terse and left me with a terrible impression. the owner's sour attitude ensures i won't be back. i couldn't believe she would treat a customer that way. especially in front of so many other customers! read more

Cranky's was excellent! I went in to purchase a gift for my wife, not having a clue of what I was looking for. Jackie helped me out tremendously. She showed me around the store and showed me what was "Hot". She never tried to push anything on me but was constantly asking questions about what my wife's style was. She was helping me and another customer at the same time and by the time it was over she and the other customer were both helping me out! Jackie was an excellent host/saleswoman and she helped me make a good decision. As a husband who doesn't like to shop I will definitely visit Cranky's again for my next gift!! read more

I purchased a Leopard Print Tote bag from this business in September, 2012. I usually DO NOT save receipts. and I do not save credit card statements beyond a year, if ever. My professional background is in Retail Management for 18+ years, and now own and operate my own Women's Accessory Company. I recently started using this handbag, as I have many and bags, and switch off on all of them. After a week of use, i noticed a defect in the fabric construction. The one side of the handbag, near the carry handle, the fabric has pulled away from the stitched handle. I went into the new, Sicklerville location, as it is closer to me, to see if someone could assist in this matter. I was meet with unprofessionalism and rudeness from the owner!'s son. Since I had no receipts, he called someone at the Cherry Hill location to do a customer look up from the computer history of purchases. They had no record of my purchase, only a purchase of a bag, that I never made. So, now I have an unusable handbag, that can basically be thrown away because they have no record Of mybpurchase.The son did not offer to do a credit card look up from a transaction number, nor did he believe I purchased the handbag. I had seen the exact same bag in the store 2 months ago when I made a purchase from the Sicklerville store last month. I posted pictures of the defective handbag, and a comment on their Facebook page,but is was removed. Since I am on their mailing list, I have not received an e-mail either, for a possible resolution. As a Manager and Owner, I would never treat a customer with the distain, condescension, and rudeness I experienced from this company. read more

Went there Saturday evening after trying on one of there magnetic bracelets it would not stay closed, the sales associate gave me a different one that seemed to be working. Shortly after i purchased the bracelet it fell off my wrist and i lost it.. When i called the store to let them know about what happended they really didn't even care that they sold me a defective product. I will not be purchasing any other item from them.. read more

Never again will I consign there. The owner is never there, she's always on vacation, her staff needs to wait for her to approve handbags that are being consigned so it takes forever, she also needs to be there when you pick up your handbag (if it doesn't sell). If you don't trust your staff to do consignment then find someone who can do it while your away every day of the week. Not to mention if you don't pick up your handbag when THEY want you to they will donate it! Can you believe that? I can't tell you how upset I was to get an email the week before Christmas to pick up my handbag and if I didn't they will basically give it away. What right do you have to donate someone else's belongings? If its there for months then I understand but don't contact me the week before the craziest holiday of the year and expect me to drop everything I'm doing to go out of my way to pick up my bag, it won't hurt you to hold on to it for another week? When my bags did sell there I never got a phone call, email, nothing. Both times I so happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped by and my bags weren't there. I thought it was nice my bags sold and no one ever contacted me. Word of advice, don't consign there. read more

this business owner is extremely rude! I gave her a bag to sell on consignment and she gave me a date to call her if the bag didn't sell before she donated it. I called her a week before this date and she claimed I missed the cutoff date. I was really upset when she told me that she had left me a message that she was donating the bag but I never recieved the message. A few weeks later she called me to tell me she had a check for me for the sale of that bag and when I asked her about our previous conversation she denied talking to me. Very poor business sense and I will never do business with her again! read more

As a repeat customer who has spent hundreds of dollars in this store, i will no longer be shopping at Cranky's. I tried to exchange a Christmas gift that I had bought my daughter. It did not fit her and was therefore of no use to her. When we walked into the store, the one and only clerk was on the phone, going into great detail over the particulars of ordering her lunch. When she finally got off the phone, I politely described the problem and the fact that i would like to do an exchange. The phone rang again. The clerk answered it, then said into the phone, "Well, I have a customer right here in front of me. Is this really important?" And then proceeded to take the call, telling me, "I have to look this up on the computer anyway. Just go look around." Um, okaaaaay. She carried on an obviously personal (not urgent) conversation for several minutes, then couldn't find my transaction on the computer. i explained that I had used a "buy 2, get one free" coupon, so the one item (a whopping $8, while the other two items totaled more than $50) was free. "Well, I gave it to you for free. I can't do an exchange," she said. "I used a coupon," I said. "It's still an item with some value. All I'm asking for is an exchange. My daughter can't use it." She went on to insist that because she "gave it to me for free" there would be no exchange. That my daughter just needed to "stretch out" the item and it would be fine. After all, she "gave it to me for free." I could almost understand her attitude if I were asking for cash back, or even a store credit. All I wanted was an item at the same cost that was actually useful. I was at the point where I wanted ask to speak to a manager or the owner, but i realized I already was. Incidentally, the same woman waited on my husband before Christmas. When he came into the store, she asked if he needed any help. When he said, no, he knew exactly what he was looking for, she said, "Oh, thank God. I feel lousy and i just don't feel like helping anybody today." Of course. Wouldn't want to be inconvenienced by customers, after all. My daughter summed it up best as we left the store today, "Maybe," she said, "this is why they call it Cranky's." read more

I was just in Crankys in Cherry Hill and the way I was treated was disgusting. I walked in wearing yoga pants and a tee shirt, other women came in dressed nicer then I was. When I walked in I was not greeted, instead I was given a dirty look and stared at the whole time I looked around. The other women were greeted with "Hello how can I help you". When I was done shopping I left the store, as I was walking to my car I saw the male employee RUN out of the store looking for me. He watched me get in my car and stared at me the whole time and then went inside as I drove away. Just because I looked different then the other women that walked in, I was treated like I had stolen something. The male employee there should learn not to judge people by the way they look. He does not know what I can afford, and actually if I wasnt treated like crap I would have bought a bag that I liked. I have never been chased out of a store like that and I am completely disgusted that the employees there would make a customer feel that way. I would NEVER spend a dime at Crankys! read more
