The setting is mostly a small town supermarket with the general surly employees who don't want to be there but it's probably an area where nothing else is available. That's the general feeling I'm getting from this place. I needed some water to drink and wash my hands, since the location I have been working during the recent weeks has only a stagnant riverside that's too steep to safely access, and drinking it is out of the question. I have soda, so really I need it to rinse off at the end of the day mostly. Today I spilled Mountain Dew and I was too sticky to cope with, a bit OCD. So I drive 6-7miles to get a case or something to have around. After finding a quite decent grocery store I was rather pleased, not wanting to buy anything from a C Store if possible. I find my water and que up in the line and as I'm paying I am met with precisely the same type of shitty attitude from the young lady running the register. She has a terrible attitude and her sour vibes are not able to be restrained to her inner self. It's bursting out from her like radiation around a nuclear reactor. Pleasantries are completely lost on her. I kind of get it. I'd not like to live in such a place especially, but on another level, I think I'd actually enjoy this town. It's a dead town, no industry in the 21st century except the window glass factory that's no doubt the only place that offers sustainable work for the people. A few bars, probably the same number of churches, which don't offer anything tangible except perhaps the lies that hang in the air and coil up the white picket fences of the devout. The store, it's not bad. But the girl has single-handedly made me want to buy water at the BP at the towns edge next time I'm in need.

They do not normally have them pre-made but that means they are made up fresh. The people working here are always friendly as is typically the case with small towns. They have a good variety of fresh produce and plenty of selection of other grocery items and household goods. Their staff is always doing their best to help you find whatever you are looking for, as long as they carry it. They are conveniently located close to downtown Boscobel. Having been in operation for many years now, Piggly Wiggly is definitely a great addition to the town, but I'm not saying anything that locals don't already know!

We tried an apple cider slushy, it was a good size for only $3! It was a little sweet. This would be a great place to stop if you're looking to pick up some Wisconsin made products or produce for a gift. They had a large collection of homemade dressings and sauces. With a small section of fresh produce, some cookware, utensils, and a mix of everything from gloves to homeopathic goods. While this store is Amish run, they are not selling Amish goods. They buy in bulk, repackage in store, and sell at very reasonable prices. Let's take a tour of the store, outside is both paved and dirt parking, as well as a horse and buggy only zone. Walking in the front door is a selection of flyers with updates about local businesses and events. Once inside straight ahead is checkout, to the right is a plentiful heard of shopping carts. The first isle (starting at the right from the front of the store.) has a selection of fresh produce, apples, onions, and sweet potatoes are the everyday staples complimented with seasonal accompaniments. Down the isle are an assortment of snack goods, soup mixes and the like. Next is my favorite isle, the baking isle, it contains a lovely assortment, starting from the back there is a collection of oils, vanillas, and a few other extracts. Across the aisle is a selection of flours*, baking mixes, and meals. Next to the oils and extracts is a selection of chocolate, chips, marshmallows, and sweet baking ingredients. Next up is a selection of pudding and Jello mixes, and a great dark Coco powder. Across this wonderful isle is a large selection of spices, prices are great and a ton of variety. Also on the isle is a selection of baking conditioners: malted milk powder, buttermilk powder, and powdered milk, including whole milk powder. *Oh yeah about those flours, they sell semolina flour at a great, amazing price. They stock a fair amount of King Arthur flours in a variety of repackaged sizes, 5 and 10 lbs, with 50 lbs sacks up front beyond the registers. The next isles have a good selection of snacks: classic candies, nuts, chocolate covered this and that; oats: stone cut, regular, and quick; other breakfast goods: cold cereal, muffin and pancake/waffle mixes, etc. Last but not least there is a variety of corn syrups. The back wall has a selection of dry pasta, and the last isle has a mix of cookware, and little things. Up front before the registers is a random mix of clearance items, 50 lbs sacks of potatoes. On the front wall is a mix of 25 & 50 lbs sacks of flours and oats for $13-$20 for 50 lbs including King Arthur.
