Honestly can't believe anyone purchases things from here. Can pay same price or less for some of the items at an assortment of nearby stores. Furniture, white, has visible gray/black shoeprints from disrespectful customer(s)/unsupervised children. Even observed a child climbing on a stacked display of marble/stone tables. I purchased a Cuisinart food processor for $49.97 and did not realize it was a final sale. When I checked out I told the Associate if anything was missing I would be returning it. She said she would notate that for me. I never dreamed they would sell a product with the main part missing. I thought it was on sale because it was in a box that was taped shut because it was previously sold. The food processor wouldn't work without the part. When I went back the next day to return it. I am extremely disappointed by the way my brother was treated by a hiring manager named Marie during the hiring process. The conversation started with Marie questioning my brother in what came across as an aggressive and confrontational manner because his Indeed resume had not been updated to reflect his current job. He had already explained that he left his previous job in June and simply hadn't updated his Indeed profile yet, but instead of handling the situation professionally, she continued to press him about it. When my mom took the phone to explain that my brother is autistic and that she was simply trying to help clarify the situation, Marie abruptly hung up on her. Ending the conversation in that way showed a complete lack of professionalism, patience, and compassion. Every applicant deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, especially individuals with disabilities. This experience was upsetting for our family and raises serious concerns about how applicants are treated. I hope Crate & Barrel investigates this incident and provides additional training so all candidates are treated with the respect and empathy they deserve. read more

I wanted these set of four chairs which were sold out online so called the store ahead of time to hold them for me. They had an hour to try to clean them off but instead sold them to me like this. I just want to take a moment & recognize Ryan & all the associates here at Crate & Barrel Outlet. Everyone is so friendly & helpful. I came in on a Saturday afternoon to see if I could find what I needed. I was greeted by Ryan with a warm welcoming smile. He asked me if there was anything I needed help with? I told him what I was looking for, and he found the perfect item for me. I had just purchased an Axis Sectional from the traditional Crate & Barrel store about 1 week ago & earned some very nice rewards that made me get a killer deal. I feel like In This day & age customer Service is dead but not here. I will absolutely be shopping here from now on first The employees went above and beyond & made this so fun & stress free. They also put me in touch with a great third party delivery co. Noah with Ark they picked up & delivered my item the next day in great condition. For less than what traditional Crate & Barrel offers. I've been telling everyone I know what a wonderful shopping experience this was. Had a great experience there this weekend. There are sometimes fantastic deals- this last week they had a bunch of Larkin tables which were regularly $2300 for $399. There are some things that are still overpriced for the discount offered but if you look around and are patient you can snag a great deal. Today I was able to get an 9x12 rug they still sell in the store for 70% off and it was in perfect condition. Paula offered to to help me get it opened up so I could look at it and make sure I wanted it. I really appreciated her offer to do this as I was going to pass it by since they were busy. This place is worth checking out if you are looking for specific C & B furniture pieces or general C & B glassware. I see only limited styles and colors of sofas/couches. Today's selection is of the cream/ white variety. They are discounted due to footprint or dirt stains. Some mirrors, many sideboards and a large section of glass stemware are displayed. I assume the stock changes frequently according to what is sold on a daily basis. I didn't see anything that caught my interest today. read more

Went into the CB outlet today to check out the memorial day sales. I was previously warned that most everything in the store was pretty damaged, but I was in the area so I decided to check it out. I understand that that this is an outlet and that a lot of scratch and dent items typically go to outlets but most all of the furniture I saw was severely damaged. Nightstands that were $800 a piece that legitimately looked like they had been slashed by a knife... I would go back for glassware and trinkets but I didn't see one piece of furniture that wasn't damaged. It felt like a way overpriced garage sale. Kind of disappointing for the prices. read more

My family And I shop at crate and barrel often. Usually at the Scottsdale location or online but this is the last time I will be customer due to my first experience here. I had an online return, I was met with Jerry at the door. He was not friendly at all, he laughed at me for bringing my return here. He said he can ask a manager if I want and he then stated the customer will just tell me the same thing. Guess what the manager said it was okay. He then proceeds to help with the return process. I gave him the return slip and he said he can't take this because it's not the receipt. I HAD TO ASK HIM to scan the barcode on the return slip. And my order came up. He said I can't return it because it is a clearance item and a final sale.. that was the current price for it.. but I had paid full price for it! He refuse then again.. he asked if I wanted to talk to manager again and yes. He then laughed at me again. Guess what the manager came out and competed my return. Jerry was the worst. He needs retraining. Manager told Jerry he didn't it wrong because the red that popped up showed the current price not the price I paid so therefore it was returnable. The website stated that this location can make returns. You guys need to fix that as well. But never will be a customer again after this experience with Jerry. read more

There's really nothing in here worth seeing. Prices are exorbitantly high ($4k for a jute rug) and any worthwhile item is severely beat up and damaged. There was a tiny jewelry box literally falling apart for $75. Even Goodwill would've been embarrassed to display that on their shelves, let alone for that much. read more

I've got a secret for you: they bargain here. Mostly, I think this shop lures people in thinking they'll get a good deal. Let me dispel that fantasy right away. Everything in the shop, except the home goods on the shelves to the west of the shop, is essentially damaged. And yet... the pricing on the ticket is the exact SAME as in their regular stores... wait, huh? What they do is they have a sign at the entrance and small slips of paper that tell you what the (random) discount on the furniture will be for that day. Some days it's 40%, others it can be as high as 60%. Still, it's a hard sell because everything is literally damaged! (Okay, about 95% is damaged in some way...) Much of the "wood" furniture has gouges and dents, revealing the particleboard underneath. I've seen the same pieces of furniture sit there for over 6 months, and the prices never goes down - ever. A friendly sales person will typically come by and tell you how you can repair it and how it's a good deal. Riiiighhhhht. Like, of course, my secret hobby is expert repair in wood laminate products. The reason I gave 3 stars and not lower is that I was able to snag some really beautiful chairs for my home. There was a little damage on them, but I could use one of those color matching pens to hide it. Also, because they left my chairs out on the floor the whole time after I paid and before I showed up to pick them up (when they were supposed to be held in the back, so they got damaged even more by uncaring customers and staff), the manager reduced the price even more. This is how I learned that they really do have leeway on the pricing here... when they want to move their merchandise, so don't think they don't. The manager took off something like an additional 10% of my purchase because when I called, the staff said my purchases were already being held in the back, but when I arrived to pick them up, they were still out on the floor and they had no clue which items I had even bought. I had to walk around the store and show them. My advice: come frequently and cruise the store and leave. Wait for the the daily discount to go up if you have your eye on something. They change this percentage every few days. 40% one day, 70% another and there's no telling what it will be each day. I would WAIT for the higher percentage. Good luck. It's work shopping here! Went with my sisters to do some shopping. The service is terrible. The girl working behind the register, Ashley called over the manager because she had hit email instead of to produce the receipt. She claimed she didn't but my checkout person hit print. My sister was annoyed and told them and they had the nerve to roll their eyes at her and make comments. THIS WAS THE MANAGER on duty that did the eye rolling. As a former retail manager of 36 years, I was appalled. Because they are so nasty, we will no longer shop there and will be telling everyone. I used to be a regular C+B customer in San Francisco years ago. But this manager was ridiculous. Listen if you want to roll your eyes and make faces about the customers, don't do it when they can see you. Shame on you! Also all furniture was dirty and store is laid out terribly. read more

Completely horrid customer service. My husband and I were in the outlet today and were told they would hold items while we measured. When we returned an hour later Jeff (store manager) had sold items we were holding. (Our number was even left with the ticket so you could have called us?) Not only was that a disappointment that we were unable to purchase the items, but bizzare behavior from Jeff who was less than apologetic and almost gloated in our faces that he sold the set to another customer. I understand things may happen, but the handling of the situation completely rubbed us the wrong way. Great concept but you can tell associates are driven by a sale to the point it affects the customer experience and made us extremely uncomfortable. Despite superior customer service on all previous visits after yesterday I cannot give a higher review. When posed with a price question the store manager was condescending and disrespectful.
