Chicken Pesto Panini & Iced Matcha Latte
Parker G.

One of my go-to's for hangout spots in the LA/Valley area! Crave Cafe always delivers in just about every aspect - it's solid on food, service, comfort, and vibes. I love places like this, where it doesn't necessarily get all the attention on social media regularly, but it oftentimes is the BEST spot overall for getting exactly what you need out of a food spot/hangout location. You order at the counter, but they serve you at your table afterwards, and everyone is always so friendly and accommodating. I particularly love the sandwiches here, especially the Chicken Pesto Panini. Toasty & delicious, just as it should be! I also love that it comes with a refreshing and healthy side salad. The WiFi is on point, the vibes are chill and comfy, the food hits, and the service is great. What more could you need?! I love Crave Cafe.

Strawberry and Banana crepes

I stopped by here this morning to pick up crepes for my wife. I placed my order online and put in the notes to put the Nutella and powder sugar on the side. If you never been here then just know it's street parking only. I always park across the street in a plaza with other stores and then just walk to this place. There are other parking garage nearby but I don't know if you have to pay now to park there. I arrived early and checked in with the lady at the counter. She said they were still working on it but it will be ready soon. Make sure to check your food is made the way you request it before you leave because I didn't and when I got home, I saw the Nutella and powder sugar was not on the side. It's not the end of the world but I would've hope they made it in the way i requested it because my wife doesn't like a lot of toppings on it. This place has a decent amount of seating inside and only like 4 tables outside. It's a great place with a lot of options on food or drink or just dessert. The bathroom is toward the back of the place.

I've been coming here for over a decade, and Crave is still a great go-to spot for a late-night dessert and coffee. Walked over after dinner and got the Nutella crepe and a latte -- perfection. The menu is huge, but I'm usually just here for dessert. You place your order at the counter and grab a seat, and there's usually plenty of seating. The staff bringing out the food are always in great spirits and genuinely kind, which really adds to the experience. Super chill vibes all around -- always a great stop!

Brought extra friends tonight they were here for the first time from Compton and they were so pleased with Mario and his service, and the young lady taking out request. I appreciate the service were different this time from last time.. Just because the experience was bad doesn't mean I won't come here again love this place

The sushi place next door

Brunch, breakfast, dinner & desserts! whatever you are craving they have something here for you. They also have a sushi restaurant attached next-door. Let me start off with the cons & then finish off with the pros. It is always overly crowded & the parking situation is not great here, you have to find some on the street. Also some of the food that they have here is not as good as it should be & yes, it is quite overpriced. Now for the good stuff: My boyfriend got the California burger with avocado added and it was so good. It tasted as good as an In-N-Out Burger, but with a much larger portion size. The fries were also fantastic & crispy. Everything came out nice and hot. My club sandwich was on the dry side, but it was still enjoyable. I would definitely not have toasted the bread as much as they did and I would've used sliced cheese instead of the shredded kind. The desserts here are also out of this world. They are super decadent and moist just the way I love it. They also have these spectacular Nutella filled crêpes. I would honestly come here just to get a dozen desserts and a drink to go. Also service wise, it wasn't very friendly. I think the staff was just overwhelmed and nobody smiled once I imagine it's a rather thankless job to work behind that counter. I have worked in customer service before and it is honestly the most soul draining experience I've ever had. Besides that I had a really enjoyable time here, especially since we sat outside and not on the inside where it was just insanely loud. I highly recommend the burger and desserts check this place out!

We generally have had a very good experience with this restaurant, particularly Crave Sushi. Crave Cafe does very good burgers and Paninis. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of ordering the Beef Fajitas from their takeout/delivery menu. They should call the dish Red and Green Pepper Fajitas, because it hardly had any beef and the beef that was in the dish was cut up into 1/4 to 1/3 inch chunks. This wasn't Beef Fajitas. It was Beef Tacos or a Beef Burrito. We also ordered Birria tacos, but got a call from the restaurant saying they were out of Birria. So we substituted with chicken. At least the chicken in the tacos was in 1/2 inch chunks and more meaty than the Fajitas. I've attached the Beef Fajitas photo from their website, which shows strips of beef, garnished with peppers and onions. It looks nothing like the dish we received, which was no meat buried in green and red peppers. I'm aware there's no truth in advertising. But, we paid $17.50 for Fajitas that looked like something you'd get at Taco Bell. Please improve this item or remove it from your menu. Thanks.

Breakfast food was served cold and I sent it back to be heated up. The warm version was just gross. They prominently display a sign "No Refunds".. My guess is people have asked for refunds more than once. I didn't ask for a refund but definitely won't be going back.

Everything here was just...mid. The food had some flavor but was still somehow lacking -- like it almost got there but didn't quite make it. Same with the coffee -- not bad, but definitely not memorable either. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out either. The real highlight was the service. The guy at the front desk was genuinely awesome -- super helpful, friendly, and had a great attitude. That alone made the visit better. The café itself is pretty clean, not too loud, and the AC was working great on a hot day, which made it a comfortable spot to sit for a bit. Parking's a little tricky -- a couple of spots in the back, but mostly street parking. Overall, not a bad place, but not one I'd rush back to. Just solidly average.

My original plan was to come here for a quick breakfast (since I was in the area). However, my short visit to Crave Cafe on Ventura Boulevard, in Sherman Oaks, turned out to be even more brief than I expected. As a result, I could only indulge in a cup of Americano (which was superbly brewed and strong). You order at the counter, then pay, they provide you a table holder with a number, you choose the table you desire and they bring the order to your seating area. The menu is vast and filled with both breakfast, lunch and dinner selections. Impressive that they are open till 2 am. There is both inside and outside seating. When you walk in, several cakes and pastries are staring at you when you order by the order at the counter. You will need strong will power or else you will be seduced. Service was prompt. Definitely worth another visit, so that I can order more from their extensive menu.

This Crave Cafe is local to may... Sorry, me... (although in three weeks it's gonna be May). A cool 18/7 [20/2 on Fridays and Saturdays] of food, coffee + various beverages, desserts and vibes you're surely to enjoy off the corner of Ventura Blvd/Van Nuys courtesy the city of Sherman Oaks. Good caffeinated sips, both cold and hot. Yummy vegan burger that hits the spot + tons of veggie friendly options. They do cool burgers, burritos, paninis, pizza, waffles, salads, crepe, entrees and assortment of foodie variety for all times of day. I typically have great service here and enjoy dining inside. The patio is great, mainly during the afternoon or day. Right next to and near local shops and spots. You can get parking on the street, though it's metered. Some pay lots close by if you don't mind a short brisk walk. Ordering can be a little of a wait, but not by much. Free wi-fi and a lot of places to sit with Crave Sushi, right next too/attached to it. Pet friendly, TVs, Music, and a worth trying experience. Q Note: I order delivery once in a while and prefer S.O. to their Studio City location that seems to have higher pricing for some reason O.O, but also different hours and a few other options.

Do they serve alcoholic drinks?

No but the sushi side does!!

Is it good to study? Does it have outlets?

It's on van nuys blvd so there is parking in the back which is nice. The food was good and the portions were big but I asked for ketchup and syrup and it took a while to get. If I was in the area again I would come back to try something new.

While we waited, I got us water, and because we were catching up, it took us about 15 minutes before we were ready to order. We both ordered iced coffees. I ordered the steak and eggs (medium with scrambled eggs), and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros. Around noon, the lunch rush started, and that's pretty much the last we saw of our waitress. Someone else brought our food, and I immediately noticed two issues. First, the eggs were overcooked. The presentation is beautiful, but it's not practical. They serve the eggs in a cast-iron skillet, which continues cooking delicate foods like eggs after they leave the kitchen. Before I even flipped them over, I could tell from the bubbles on top that they had overcooked. Sure enough, the bottom was browned and overdone. Then I cut into my steak. I ordered it medium, but it came out well done. It was tough enough that it took effort just to cut through it. After finally flagging someone down, my waitress returned, and I explained the problem. She asked me to hand back the entire serving board so they could remake the steak. That honestly surprised me. The only issue was the steak, so I simply moved my toast onto the board and handed her the plate instead. It was a small interaction, but it made me feel like the staff lacked experience handling situations like this. The replacement steak was much better, and I genuinely enjoyed the potatoes and the garlic butter that came with the meal. Unfortunately, the service never recovered. From the time our food arrived until we left around 1 p.m., nobody checked on our table, refilled our water, offered more coffee, or brought the check. It was frustrating because I saw our waitress walk around with water for other tables but didn't come to us at all. I eventually had to flag down another employee, who apologized, offered us water to go, and brought the check. Ironically, that's when our original waitress finally came back saying she'd bring it. Whether it was poor communication between staff or simply inattentive service, I honestly don't know. I usually prefer speaking with a manager directly rather than leaving a negative review, but getting anyone's attention was difficult enough that by the end of the meal I was simply ready to leave. I really wanted to like this place. The restaurant is beautiful, and it's easy to see why it's become popular on Instagram. Unfortunately, it felt like the focus was on creating an aesthetic experience rather than a great dining experience. For two people, the bill came to about $65 before tip, and it just didn't live up to the hype. The food alone is a 3-star experience, but the service is ultimately why I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. A note for management: I'd strongly reconsider both staff training and how certain dishes are served. There's no practical reason to serve scrambled eggs in a cast-iron skillet when the residual heat continues cooking them after they leave the kitchen. Just as importantly, servers should be ensuring the entire dining experience is enjoyable not just taking an order and disappearing until it's time to drop off the food. Guests shouldn't have to flag someone down for refills or even the check. If you're looking for a trendy brunch spot with great photo opportunities, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're looking for thoughtful cooking, attentive service, and a restaurant where execution matches the presentation, I'd skip this one.
