I am so glad I ordered from Crave Cuisine for my small family wedding weekend! Lori Terry is a true professional. She understood and delivered exactly what I needed and exceeded my expectations with display, taste and variety. There wasn't a dish I didn't like, but some of my favorite dishes were the Hawaiian luau rice with ham, pineapple, coconut and macadamia nuts, yum! Also loved the grilled chicken pineapple kabobs. Also for breakfast the spinach & gruyere cheese quiche with hash brown crust was a huge hit! The antipasti charcuterie boards were beautiful and so tasty, especially the savory cheesecake. We had an awesome experience with Lori cooking in our home last night. First of all, it bears mentioning that I made about 25 calls to private chefs before finding someone who was interested in working with the budget that I'd proposed and the parameters thatI laid out. We were a party of four with some severe dietary restrictions. We also had a really clear vision of what we wanted to eat. Lori made the planning process fun and efficient. Unlike every other company I called, Lori made me feel like the sky was the limit as far as what we could plan. I had mentioned some foods that she hadn't made before, and she explained that she would figure out how to get them made and not to worry. Lori arrived about a half hour after she said she would, so our first course came out about a half hour late. All was forgiven, as each course was positively exquisite. On top of the delicious food, Lori was pleasant to everyone, including babies, toddlers, and dogs. The icing on the cake is she left my kitchen spotless. By the end of the meal, I was ready to hire her as my personal chef, and I will unquestionably invite her back to cook in my kitchen. read more

We hired Chef Lori to cook for an in home dinner party for eight. From the first inquiry, to the sound of the dishwasher running at the end of the night, we were thoroughly impressed and extremely happy with our experience. We coordinated everything over email and she was always quick to get back to me. She customized the most delicious menu for us and each course was presented beautifully, timed perfectly, and tasted better than we could have imagined. Every guest at our dinner party raved about her (even the guest who is an amazing cook herself). She did all the shopping, prep, serving, clearing, and clean up, and was pleasant to talk to while she was cooking. She used high quality ingredients, served good sized portions, and every single thing was so delicious. Just writing this review reminds me why I need to hire her again-as soon as possible. She was worth every penny and I highly recommend her!! We did an at home grilling class with Chef Lori. Chef Lori showed up at our house right on time with all the ingredients and materials we needed for the night. The menu was great- cedar planked smoked salmon, Hawaiian chicken kabobs, a grilled Mexican salad and banana s'mores. Everything turned out amazing! The class was very interactive and we got to do most of the prep work and the grilling itself so we feel like we can definitely remake this entire menu. She also gave us a lot of tips and tricks for using the grill moving forward, as well as, other cooking advice. I would absolutely recommend this class. It was a really fun night with amazing food. We will definitely be taking more classes from her in the future and keep this in mind for gifts for friends and family!! read more

I attended Lori's Mediterranean cooking class last week and it was so much fun!! We brought wine and there was music in the background. The atmosphere was very relaxed which is my ideal for cooking. The dishes were easy to make and so delicious. I highly recommend doing any of her classes, it would be fun alone, with a date or a group of your friends. read more

I hosted a "Welcome to the World" themed baby shower and worked with Lori on the "American" portion of the fare. Lori prepared assembled sliders (cheeseburger, hamburger, and veggie) with toppings (ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce, tomato). The sliders were a huge hit along with the other food items we had. I had several guests with allergy/eating restrictions and Lori worked with me on that and separating out different types of sliders. Food delivery arrived on time and in hot/cold bags. We served them less than 15 minutes later and they were still hot. Lori was always attentive to e-mail questions and confirmed several times, which eased my anxiety. I would highly recommend this company and would be likely to use them again in the future if the need arises. read more

I used Lori for a small dinner party, and it was terrific. The presentation was beautiful, particularly of the antipasti platter that we enjoyed before dinner. Salad, entree and dessert were also beautifully presented and delicious. I had asked Lori to make a couple of alterations to her menu suggestions, which she was more that willing to do, and it all turned out very well. She arrived on time. Chef Lori led a cooking class at my condo for 9 friends yesterday and we had a wonderful time! She was very accommodating with food allergies, preferences and budget during the planning and day of. She let us be as hands on as we wanted and took care of all of the set up, prep work and take down. My kitchen looked just as clean as it did before we started when she left! Lori and Olan just did the catering for my wedding of about 85, and all I can say is wow. Lori and Olan are so kind and made sure everything went according to plan for our big day. The food was spectacular, everything was delicious, the hors'devours, and entree. All night all my guests were raving about how delicious everything was. All the servers were very professional and friendly as well. At the end of the night they helped clean everything and even folded tables and chairs. We attended a wonderful dinner party/in home cooking instruction that Chef Lori did last night for 15 people. Lori was great at handling the large group and answered everyone's questions. We got to vote on our favorite olive oils and vinegars which she then made 3 different dressings for a delicious salad. Overall the food was fantastic, the beef tenderloin melted in your mouth and the homemade pasta that everyone got to help make was great. She made an impressive charcuterie tray and finished the meal with cannolis! As guests, we had a really fun time, the host got to enjoy all her friends and the evening was easy. Lori's staff made sure we had cocktails and anything else we needed. They left the house spotless. We will definitely hire Lori for our next dinner party read more

Lori was amazing! I did an in home cooking class for a friends birthday with 5 girls. She was great to communicate with to plan the date and time which I found very difficult with other in home cooking classes. Lori was extremely patient as our start time was a bit mixed for the group. She would go through techniques thoroughly and make sure we were doing them right. We all learned something new from meal prep to knife sharpening! Everything we cooked was amazing thanks to her. Not only is she a great chef/instructor, she was great to talk with from all of her travel experiences. I'm pretty sure we want to invite her to our next get together just to keep talking with her! As soon as the night was over, I was already thinking about the next class we could do with her! Chef Lori is fantastic! I was on a quest for a one-on-one fish cooking lesson and came across Crave Cuisine's website. I reached out to Lori because of Crave's emphasis on healthy cuisine and because Crave seemed to offer a wide variety of culinary services, from weekly meal deliveries to catering large events. I emailed Lori about my request for solo instruction on cooking fish (I'm a novice fish eater and was intimidated by the idea of cooking it for myself). Lori immediately responded that she'd be more than happy to help and provided her availability. Despite her incredibly busy schedule, she was able to fit me in a few weeks later. We met at my local grocery, where she took time at the fish counter walking me through selecting fish (what to look for, questions to ask the fish monger, etc.) We bought small portions of a few different kinds and then went to my house, where she taught me four techniques for cooking the fish we had selected - all of them were so easy and produced such delicious results. She kept the ingredient lists simple, brought her own seasonings and knives, and emailed me the next day with a bullet-point list of what we'd gone over. This personalized service in response to an atypical request was exactly what I was hoping for, and Lori charged an *extremely* reasonable price for it. You can really tell that she's immersed in cooking and teaching cooking every day. Knowing that I was focused just on cooking fish, Lori taught exactly that - no purchasing of extraneous ingredients (like I said, she brought everything but the fish) and nothing elaborate. It was an incredibly low-key, highly informative instruction and it's evident that she aims to make all of her culinary services, big and small, as low stress for the host as possible. Lori was so friendly, so helpful, and so attuned to my goals and capabilities. I can't recommend her services enough and plan to host a group event with her help next time! read more

Crave Cuisine catered our wedding of 115 people, and overall did a good job. We appreciated the unique menu and personalized experience. Chef Ollen, one of the owners, did a great job with executing our selections from the tasting through the reception. Chef Lori, the other owner, served as the day of coordinator in addition to her other duties. The main reason for our rating was the amount of time it took our guests to get through the food station line, 45+ minutes. We voiced this concern numerous times during the planning process, even suggesting two lines to serve. We were assured one line would be fine, but it was not enough and the food was cold according to many of our guests. It delayed dessert service until when dancing began, and so the dessert was mostly ignored. We believe the above and the other minor issues can be easily corrected, and so we recommend Crave for your wedding. read more
