Cookie dough in bubble/waffle cone with cookie dough, Oreo, and brownie on top

Wowowow am I happy to have stumbled across this place! I'm not a huge fan of rolled ice cream (think it's more for show vs. quality of ice cream) but I suppose it's the same and this place was delicious! I especially appreciated the add on 3 toppings post choosing your ice cream and mix ins. It was a HUGE serving too (though also pricy so shakes out about right - I think I paid $10 all said and done). I did 'splurge' and get the bubble waffle/waffle cone thingy which I'm so happy I did! I've had bubble waffle ice cream, obvi waffle cone with my ice cream, but never a combo of the two and I LOVED IT. Definitely my favorite part just because I've never run into this before. Anyways, pricy but a great treat and every once in a while it can't hurt, right?

I had out of town family visiting this weekend and we decided to explore some of the tourist stops downtown. This was our final stop. Two of our curls cups were made PERFECT but one of my family members did not have the same luck. The owner did offer to remake it but we were all tired and just had them put the missing ingredients on the top. It is really fun to watch them make you ice cream cup.

Get out of the box and try this Sweet Dessert! In town for the week visiting family when we came across this place. We always have our favorite stops when we come into town, excited to add this to our must do list! We tried "Go Bananas" "Cookie Monster" and "Peanut Butter Brownie". Bonus you get to add your choice of 3 toppings! Our overall favorite so far was Go Bananas!

So good! Rolled ice cream is fun to watch being made...and even more fun to eat! Pick from several different flavors and add up to 3 toppings. They have milkshakes too

Our friends had been talking about one of those ice cream shops that prepares ice cream to order, spreads it out in thin sheet, and then curls it up with a spatula. I've heard of it, but never been to one...until this week. The business is family owned and run and the family is so sweet and personable. They close for the winter to spend the cold months in Mexico, so don't count on getting a bowl until at least March 6, 2020. I love the exposed brick and the charm that the shop has to offer. Everything was very clean (i.e. floors, tables, etc.) My favorite part was that you can watch them make your rolls through the glass window, kinda like fudge makers have so you can watch the process. I didn't snap a picture of the menu, but they have lots of options and they're all customizable. A few examples are: s'mores (they even toast the marshmallows with a torch!), strawberry dream, peanut butter brownie, birthday cake, cookie monster, coffee/espresso (I can't remember the name), and more! Their flavor of the week this week was chocolate covered cherry and the week before was peppermint hot chocolate. When you order, you can choose among vanilla, chocolate, or coconut milk as your base. Not only are their toppings/flavors in the menu items above, but you can also add 3 additional toppings at the end. You can choose to have your curls in a waffle cone, bowl, or a puffle. Ever heard of that? I hadn't. It's made in an iron that makes a waffle cone on one side and puffs on the other side, so it's a little soft and less crunch than the waffle side. The puffles are made to order, too! I loved everything about this little place, right down to the spoons (that felt like they were made of compostable plastic). PRO TIP: My 8 year old son rarely finishes a small ice cream, so the fact that the menu only mentioned one size had me worried. We found out that they do a kids' size, even though it isn't listed on the menu. The one thing that I would warn you about, is, there are no public restrooms, so make sure you take care of that before heading there. Also, they sell bottled water if you're one who likes to drink water with your ice cream. I didn't see that they were offering tap water in cups to anyone. Lucky for me, I had my own water with me because it rarely leaves my side. LOL! Go and check them out. You can thank me later.

Love this place! The servings are generous & it's fun to watch how they turn the ingredients into curls. The price May seem a bit steep compared to other ice cream places, but I believe you'll find it's worth it.

There was a hair in the ice cream, and the tables were all filthy. It was 2pm and there was no one else there. That's not acceptable.

I ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, and it was enormous. The bacon was cooked perfectly, crispy without being overdone, and there was plenty of it. The toppings were fresh, the cheese was generous, and the burger was so big I couldn't finish it all. I wanted to, but it simply won the battle. One of the things that makes Parker's unique is the atmosphere. The walls are covered with horse racing memorabilia and photos. The owner is involved in horse racing, and the racing theme gives the restaurant a personality all its own. And don't leave without trying the ice cream. We had the soft serve, and it was absolutely delightful. It was the perfect finish to a great meal. This is the kind of classic American drive in that is becoming harder to find. Freshly prepared food, generous portions, local character, and a memorable experience. If you're passing through Paducah, Parker's is well worth getting off the interstate for. We'll definitely be back.

After doing some record shopping we asked "Where's a good place to go for lunch" and there was a unanimous "Parker's" from standers by. It was also, literally, about 3 blocks away. There's a menu board mounted behind the counter and they can hand you one so you don't have to squint your eyes to see all they have to offer. And this menu is ENORMOUS Parker's is a very cool throwback to the car hops of the 50s and early 60s. You can order outside on the speaker or go inside for the full-on experience. The inside is decorated with movie and music memorabilia and neon. Lots of neon. If you're eating inside you order at the counter, they give you a number, and you find a seat. The menu is hand-held/bar food. Burgers, hotdogs, onion rings, and fries, and a variety of sandwiches and a HUGE selection of sides. My wife had a mushroom and swiss burger, I had your basic cheese burger. Our sides were onion rings and fries. Our food was delivered hot, fresh, and accurate within ten minutes. My wife's burger/onion rings came on a basket shaped like a guitar. #AWESOME!! The food was tasty and delicious. I asked for tomato on my cheeseburger and they were able to add it, but was sliced probably 3/4 of an inch thick! It made the burger look a little lopsided, but it was still good. The staff was friendly and didn't look at me funny when I asked for a side of mayonnaise for my fries (yea I'm that guy). The dining room was authentically decorated, like I said, with vintage movie and music stuff down to the chrome chairs and the soda fountain seat with silver, twirly seats...even the floor tiles were like something you'd see in a movie from the 50s. Our first visit was a great experience and we had a lot of fun despite unrelenting rain. If we get to Paducah again, Parker's Drive In is definitely our lunch destination.

We showed up right at opening, five o'clock, and there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. Make a reservation. I'm glad we did. We had a party of four and was seated at a low top that had a view of the kitchen. Lively open space with an open kitchen you can see both the cook line and the prep area. The cornbread was the unexpected standout of the entire meal. Mildly sweet, savory, light and fluffy all the way through. I was not expecting a side dish to steal the show, but it did. We also ordered the double stuffed burrata, and the bread it came with deserves its own mention. Crisp, lightly toasted, with just a touch of char. It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata and the accompaniments on the plate. For my entree I went with the grilled Caesar salad and added shrimp. It ended up being the perfect call. The portion was generous, the shrimp addition made it feel like a real meal. The romaine had this excellent crisp char on it that added so much. The dressing was heavenly. One of the best Caesar dressings I have had in a while. My favorite parts of the night had nothing to do with what was on my plate. We got to watch chef Sara Bradley working the kitchen with her team during service, and it was clear why this place has the reputation it does. I'd love to come back and try the prix fixe tasting menu next time. Overall this was a great experience from start to finish. And a must stop or destination when driving through KY.
