This gourmet popcorn shop is in a very nice downtown area. There are many flavors available to sample. A lot of special deals available, too! I loved all the caramel flavors and we ended up purchasing the buffalo cheddar. They season your order in front of you and it only takes a few minutes. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming to us tourists. They have sodas, candy, and other snacks to check out. Definitely go in and at least sample the flavors! I recommend if you can keep up with their changes in hours of operation! It is sufficiently frustrating to find available parking on the days they are expected to be open; but to plan and come on a Saturday night, find a parking spot, and find this shop closed 1 minute after it's posted closing (I.e., 7:00 pm) is beyond my tolerance. Much as I've enjoyed their popcorn, this shop has not earned my trust and loyalty due to its inconsistency. read more

Great store to buy popcorn I mean it's a healthy snack right? When you walk into this store it smells soooo good. You can sample a lot of different flavors from there sample machine. The white cheddar cheese is the bomb as was the spicy jalapeño. Only thing is when you buy popcorn it would've been nice to get a cold drink. But the store was very clean and very friendly staff. They also sell kernels to pop your own popcorn, also they sell different spices to sprinkle on your popcorn. Prices are reasonable not much parking if it's busy. I love popcorn so I squealed with delight upon finding this store. Lots of fun and unique flavors. Bought a bag of Carmel and Dill Pickle. Dill popcorn is very good to eat but I am not sure I will get an entire bag of it again as eating a full on bag is too much! Looking forward though to trying their other unique flavors. Cravings is delightful! My mom and I wandered in here to grab some corn for my caramel corn loving father and we were not disappointed! We were able to sample 9 or so flavors before making our selection. They had flavors from caramel, sweet golden cinnamon, bacon cheddar, apple cider cinnamon, buffalo cheddar, etc. and all were delicious! A pleasant young girl was working behind the counter and offered her assistance, but never rushed us at all. Another two gentlemen were working, both of whom made eye contact and smiled. The store is also decked out in other corn making essentials like popping bowls and ingredients for you to pop your own popcorn. In addition, there are specialty bottles of soda along the walls in case you want an original drink to go along with your original snack. Big bags of corn were about $6.50 or so. We ended up going for the white cheddar and caramel. This would be a great place to grab a snack for a holiday party at work or just because. The girl who helped us said that they have been at this location since February 2010 and I hope they are here for a long time to come. This place is definitely a Lansing gem! Added bonus: it's the perfect appetizer/time kill for peeps waiting in line to get a table at Meat, which is just a few doors down. For traditionalists, their Chicago Style is a must. For more adventurous snackers, the Chicken and Waffles flavor nails this brunch favorite with surprising accuracy. And the Dark Molasses Caramel with Sea Salt? Yaasssss. That is my everything. A nice little addition to old town, was checking this place out as we waited for a table at Meat next door. An interesting type of joint to open up (focusing primarily on popcorn), this place offers a variety of popcorn, from your standard (caramel, cheese, etc..) to the unique (jalapeno, candied, etc..) popcorn enthusiasts are sure to find something to satiate their popcorn craving. An unexpected find here was that they also offer a variety of root beers. I'm not talking about the stuff you find at Meijer, I'm talking random root beers like red arrow, and others that came from cities I didn't even know I existed. The person working there was knowledgeable and friendly, and help me pick out a nice little 4 pack of root beers to try. My son loves popcorn, so we bought a bag of caramel corn for him, and he loved it. The root beers were ok, but I'd be interested in going back to pick out some other ones. The popcorn that comes out of this place is nothing short of a miracle. Every time I visit Michigan, I have to stop by. Their white cheddar popcorn is so good. But honestly - it's their movie theater popcorn that gets me. I know, it's boring - but it's really so good. It's the perfect amount of salty and buttery. They have flavors come and go all the time, so I really like that they have the sample buckets out for people to try the flavors. I was on a huge bacon cheddar popcorn kick for a while, but from too many years of overindulging have lost my taste for it. Thankfully, the white cheddar and movie theater keep my popcorn cravings (get it?!) at bay. I'm not a fan of sweet popcorn, and Cravings seems to be headed more and more in that direction every day. I do hope they keep to the salty/savory side a bit more. The white cheddar is the perfect amount of sweet with the savory. I can't handle anything that's chocolate drizzled, it's just not for me. They do a lot of work in the community, too. When the new Ghostbusters premiered, they donated a bunch of Ecto Cooler flavored popcorn for a big bash that was going on. It was crazy - it tasted exactly like Ecto Cooler! They also did a roast pork and pineapple flavor for a luau themed event. I love this popcorn! They have so many interesting flavors, sweet ones and savory. My favorite is the premium signature gold, which is like a brown sugar and buttery salt flavor. Cravings is a wonderful shop to pick up gifts, tasty snacks and unique cane sugar sodas. Plus, the owner is a peach and the staff have always cheerfully helped me! It's in the heart of Old Town, really easy to get to, with street parking. I've bought treats at Cravings several times for teachers, parties, sporting events, and just for lounging at home. I recently tried their limited number Thanksgiving Dinner popcorn that a friend shared with a group of us at a local coffee shop. His father sent if to him as a reminder of home as he's from Michigan. I was so excited I ordered it for my Dad's birthday as he was a "Thanksgiving" baby. He loved it! I tried to purchase gift baskets for door prizes for an event in two weeks. I called and spoke with the manager Chad and he urged me to come in and order soon because it takes time to pull together. I asked when he would be available and he said between 2:00 and 2:30 that day. I couldn't make it and called again the next day. Chad insisted he would be there all afternoon until 5:00 I left right away and drove 30 minutes only to find out he left and no one else could help me. Completely awesome!! They have the best popcorn! Love the tasting station. I took my 13 year old daughter and her friends in there to pick out their own popcorns for a sleepover. They had a blast! Each was able to make their own combinations. Great prices for the different sizes. Love all the options. Staff is very friendly and helpful!! The first time I walked in, I was expecting a simply ok place. I grew up with the idea from my family that Garret's popcorn was where it was at.
