Customer service is always friendly and food is always deliciously fresh. Be prepared to wait a little while for anything coming from the kitchen but just know that it will be worth it. The spicy breakfast wrap was great, as were the home fries. The lemon blueberry muffin was perfection. Their bagels are always enjoyed and there is never a shortage of flavor options. I wanted something sweet after lunch, and I saw that this bakery was open until 6:00! When I walked in, I saw that it was a little cafe as well as a bakery. It was late in the day, so I assume they were out of some things. But, I did get a no-bake cookie which was good, big and pretty rich. Quite tasty! You order at the counter where you can see all the pastries they offer in glass cases. No egg plates that I saw. Had the green eggs sandwich on a croissant and it was great. They offered 4 different coffee and I picked the placebo (decaf) and it was as advertised: smooth and delicious. Toddler with us got the kid's plate with a huge peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Weird though that they included a pickle spear on the plate with chips for breakfast. Place is nice, small kid kitchen for your smalks to play at and seating can fit a moderate crowd. First timer! I went in reluctantly with my mom and Grandma since I was not in the mood for baked goods- I ended up wanting to order 10 things with all of that beautiful selection hahaha! Decide on a trip to the Westside of Lansing for late breakfast. The amount of baked goods on display when I walked in was a bit overwhelm but I was so excited about it! Ifor breakfast I ordered the pecan roll (warmed up) and bacon egg and cheese bagel. They were so fresh and good! The Pecan roll topping was basically candied and in here for it. The sandwich was hot and I devoured it like I hadn't eaten in a year. I did take half the Pecan roll home and reheated the next day - just as good. They also have some really excellent coffee. It's mostly serve yourself but with a few choices. But, really, let's talk about how I found drink this coffee without sugar or milk if I so chose! No bitter coffee here! Which reminds me why I need to make that trip again in the near future and see if I can abscond with some coffee beans to take home. The staff were great, the ambiance is fantastic, and I only wish this place were in East Lansing so I could be a daily patron. Support local!! Wow! I just ate one of the most delicious bowls of soup I've ever had!! The sausage, potato kale and cream soup is to die for!! I can't get enough of it!! I had a carry out pastry. ​It was Snicker Bar concoction. It was square and a very good sized pastry. I was anxious to taste it as Snicker Bars have been my favorite for over 60 years. I tried cutting a piece of with my fork. It was impossible. I tried a serrated knife. Impossible. Then a regular knife. Impossible. I tried to pick it up and just bite a corner of the bottom crust. Impossible. I ended up tearing it into pieces. The fiiling was decent, just not very flavorful. I didn't taste any Snicker Bar, but there were 3 small pieces in the center with the filling that I think were Snicker Bar. Overall, I was very disappointed. I'm sorry that my friend spent her money on 2 of them as 1 was a gift for me and the other for herself. She asked me if I liked it and then apologized to me. I assured her it wasn't anything she did wrong. She couldn't eat hers. I hate that she wasted $10.00 plus a tip. I don't understand why the top and bottom crusts were pretty much rock hard (and I have all my own teeth) The presentation of this pastry is beautifully done. I had such high hopes. I've heard this place is great, but nothing we tried was... the chips served with the sandwiches are not good. They are under-seasoned, tasted burnt, and were super hard. I'm so happy I decided to try this place. The sandwiches were mouthwateringly amazing and the cinnamon rolls were so good! I couldn't believe I got two sandwiches, two bags of chips, two pickles, and two cinnamon rolls for $15! I feel like that would be a $30 meal at a chain bakery cafe. My boyfriend said the turkey bacon sandwich was a little light on the turkey -- only 2 VERY thin slices. But I told him it's lunch not dinner so it shouldn't matter. I rarely give 5 stars but they earned it. The young staff was slammed because of a town Festival but all kept their cool and provided great customer service. I noticed the festival on our hike so I called in our order in advance. We had the turkey and bacon on a pretzel and the blt on a croissant. The pretzel itself was very good and the sandwich was well put together. The toasted croissant was amazing. The butter in the croissant helped it to toast up perfectly. The sandwiches were under $7. It made my heart happy. We also had the no bake cookies which were standard. They were sold out of the other cookies which was disappointing but expected. I brought home the pumpkin roll for my husband and the icing was so good! We also have a bagel and cinnamon roll to split for brunch tomorrow because I couldn't help myself. I was excited to try this place because of the "vegan options" but I was bamboozled. Out of all the pastries not one was vegan. The only lunch option was veggies with hummus in a wrap for 10$?? I could get a week supply at the grocery and fresh too for that. My family tried a donut and a cinnamon roll. Both were dry and dense like they had been sitting. To top it off, the cashier didn't even know what was vegan and what wasn't and the shift lead was acting inconvenienced I was asking questions at all about their food options. We discovered this cozy independent local credible smelling bakery a few years back when we were doing a Habitat for Humanity ramp project in Grand Ledge. Then Covid hit. So when we were back in Grand Ledge doing another small ramp project we swung by to see if they had survived. We were so glad to see them open and with such an amazingly big choice of baked goodies. Looks like the baker uses their creativity every day to make a wonderful selection of cookies muffins bagels, "bombs" , croissants .... You get the picture!! Choosing is a huge challenge. We had a Brie and Blackberry bomb which is like a pretzel dough wrapped around chefs choice for the day. And we had a caramel apple croissant tower. Both were amazing. And the staff were super friendly. And it was a great place to hang around and enjoy our Elevenses. The lunch menu looked interesting too. Well Done!!! read more

The food items are delicious, but I've had bad service a few times. For example, stood there waiting for 15 minutes for my food - not 15 minutes waiting for it to be made (although that is true), but 15 minutes, watching it sit at the counter getting cold while staff helped this lady get all the little goodies she wanted. I wanted to just go behind the counter and grab it, since I already paid for it. I cannot celebrate pride in sin, however. read more
