Someone from the company Gathering up appointments for landscape gave me a brochure that set up to…read more30% off and set up an appointment for an estimate for a little bit of a retaining wall around my front flower bed of my house. That appointment at 3:00 on Thursday nobody showed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt called them back made a new appointment. Somebody came was here for 2 hours taking pictures measurements and going over design and promised me I would get an email estimate within the week. That estimate never came. They called me a couple of weeks later and asked to make an appointment with a couple of their better guys I agreed. Two really nice guys came which I didn't understand why we needed to have another estimate and take more of my time for a simple project. These two guys came and they were very nice and they measured and they went over design information via their tablet they brought showing me options and promised me an email estimate within the week or two which never arrived. Since then the company has been calling trying to schedule another appointment for a third time and I refuse to give them more of my time when I haven't received an estimate. I explained to them I've given up 5 hours of my time and they've given me nothing so without an estimate this is too many red flags I don't like the way this company runs and I'm out. I got a call today and they tried to represent themselves with a different name of a company altogether when I asked him to please be honest and transparent how did he hear that I needed Landscaping because I've never advertised it online or any social media. He admitted he was also Hometown remodeling which means he tried to trick me. I asked him to give me an estimate based on the photographs the measurements and the design chosen that he is already received by three different guys. But he wants to send the guy that came the second time tomorrow to give me that estimate to have me sign a contract. I gave him the price that was verbally told to me you will see if that happens tomorrow or if they even show up and write an estimate right then and there in front of me and not promised in the email. I do not recommend this company and I highly doubt I'm going to sign a contract. UPDATE: Since this review, the company has been in touch with me to try to make things right and apologize for my experience. I have finally received an estimate matching the verbal one they originally gave, however, the style and design was slightly changed from my original choice. They did explain that my job was not big enough to make the profit they need to cover labor and expenses. For this, I bow out and will go with another business a bit more Professional.

We paid for all materials from Home Depot ourselves. Serfer Construction took 1 week to complete everything. Today, I cried walking into our rental house we are now selling because the work was done perfectly and as promised. Serfer Construction Hector, Jose and Luis did everything as promised and finished as promised in one week. The Handy Guy, Steve Murtos said he could do everything in a month. Now that was promised to us on February 4, 2022. Yet he NEVER ever completeled anything he started. Then by May 4, 2022 we had to let Steve Murtos, The Handy Guy go. He constantly made "Promises to finish" in March, then promise to finish in April 1st and then promise to finish by May 1st. He NEVER finished anything he started. Steve Murtos AKA: The Handy Guy that let us down a road of promises that never happened. We highly recommend Luis, Hector and Jose of Serfer Construction in Bakersfield for any work you need done.
