Called around and given 2-3 weeks to replace the springs. called Crawford, they had a worker on Whidbey island, he fitted me in his schedule, and the springs I needed and was done in less than an hour. I had Crawford Garage Doors come out a few months ago to replace some parts and adjust the door etc. I just called them again to see about installing some weather stripping on the sides etc. They sent me a quote but at the same time we discussed getting a new door since this one was 23 years old and not a very good door. So after a week I called them back to see if they had sent me a bill yet fir coming out and they told me they didn't do anything so no charge. When in this day and age does a company ever do that. When I decide to get a new door I will definitely call Crawford Doors back. Very nice to deal with them. read more

I can't speak higher about these folks. I got an excellent referral from a friend here in town. After one of our garage doors was run into (oops) I called and was told they could be out in about 2 hours. About 20 minutes later a nice young man was at my door, and in less than a half an hour he had the door back on track and also somehow got our other door to operate very quietly. I thought this company was GREAT!! I live out of state and needed them to look at a very out of date garage door motor and knew that it would need replacing. I told Jamie the issue and he said he would come prepared to replace it but that he would certainly check it out first to see if that was the real issue. He came out checked it out and determined that it did indeed need to be replaced. He installed the new motor with a key pad on the outside all in about 40 minutes. I dismantled my garage door when the power went out so I could leave the house. When the power came back on, I was missing a piece to put it back together. When I called, the man who answered the phone and was very nice, I was told there was already someone in my neighborhood who could swing by and check it out. When he called, I was given less than 5 minutes before he'd be there. I wanted my aunt to be there since my teenage daughter was alone. So I asked him to wait until she could get there. He didn't. He checked the issue and told my daughter he didn't have the part and would return. He was at my house less than 1 minute. I got a call, maybe a week later, saying he was in the area and would stop by to fix it. Again, I asked for a call before he came so my aunt could be there. Again, he didn't wait. Before I could call my daughter and tell her he was coming, he was already at my house. He was done in 10 minutes. Generally, I would be pleased with such prompt and efficient work, but not a single visit was scheduled and we were only given a few minutes notice. The bill was $150, $130 for labor, $10 for the part and $10 for tax. I called to question the bill, because he didn't drive to my community for me. He was already here and failed to give any notice on the visits. The man who did the work called back, was very abrupt, and said that he would take the $10 off for the part. He said the base rate for a service call is $130. Even though not a single visit was scheduled, and didn't take longer than 15 min total. I don't expect the work for free, but something more reflective of time invested, lack of scheduled appointment and the visits were not the primary reason for the trip to the neighborhood. Everyone in the office were friendly, but the man doing the work was not. I am pretty sure myself or my extended family will not return for our personal garage door needs and will share this experience with anyone who asks about garage door help.... read more

Crawford will first sell you the wrong door. Then creepy installers will destroy your garage trying to put it up. And If you're one of the lucky ones, the door won't fall and kill you the first time you open it. Good luck trying to get them to fix the vinyl trim cut too short. read more
