Berries and cream Croffle with lemon zest

I guess a Croffle is a waffle? As it happens, I love waffles. My grandma used to make these crazy good waffles and they have always been one of my happiest childhood memories. She made them with buttermilk and lemon zest. Unlike any waffle I have ever had. They were always crispy! Not crunchy but crispy. Well, Lucy has finally met her match. They even include the lemon zest here. These things are wack-a-doo GOOD! The berries and cream will evoke an audible reaction the first time you bite into it. Right behind are the Dubai Pistachio and the egg bacon & avocado. The iced matcha, I've tried a couple times, was stellar. The coffee is very good also! The service is friendly and they always seem glad to have you there. The store is small and the line can be long but don't let that deter you. All good things are worth the wait!

Such a cute spot! I really like the Gateway. It's sad to see it empty. I think this is a great dessert spot in the shopping center. First and foremost, their croffles are DELICIOUS! They come out hot with delicious toppings on top. Also, they have MANY different unique flavors, including matcha (one of my favorite flavors ever). Secondly, I love how it's currently a small business. I love supporting these places. Thirdly, I've been craving a croffle for almost a year since eating an amazing one in Italy. Therefore, I'm ECSTATIC there is a designated croffle place in Utah! The croffle itself is so good that I can definitely eat them plain, no toppings needed. I will be returning :) Regardless of how The Gateway is doing, I hope this business thrives!

Wow this place is great! Crazy Croffles serves the most amazing "Croffles" which are waffles made from croissant dough. They have both sweet and savory Croffles as well as a variety of drinks such as smoothies and lattes. The shop is cute and cozy and the owners are the sweetest sister duo. I tried the Dubai pistachio and apple spice Croffles with a pineapple kale smoothie. I love everything I tried. This place is located in the Gateway mall right across from the Hall Pass food hall. You can park in the shall lot close to the shop or park in the underground parking garage at the gateway.

Go while they still have their promo this month!! The croffles were all delicious, we got the matcha, ube, and berries & cream. My personal favorite was the berries & cream, it had some lemon zest on it that balanced out the dish nicely. Staff was friendly and service was quick so I will definitely be coming back!

You can tell they're just starting out, and with a few small tweaks this place could be even better. One suggestion would be to ask customers whether they're dining in or taking their croffle to go, since different packaging is needed to properly take it out. The croffles themselves were really good--no complaints there. The drinks, however, were a miss for me. The matcha didn't taste like good-quality matcha, so I'd probably skip that next time. The white mocha frappe was also overly sweet with no noticeable espresso flavor. Overall, great croffles, but the drinks could use some improvement.

This place was immaculate. The aesthetics are amazing, the chicken was so, SO DELICIOUS, I did NOT expect the chicken to mix so well with the croffle or waffle I dunno what you call it but I would absolutely be willing to spend $30 for just the chicken alone. The staff are very nice, seats are very comfy and its very comfortable and super clean. I would absolutely wish that this place was bigger mainly because I would love to have this as a study or hangout place and I would love for this place to grow bigger mainly cause of how yummy I found the chicken to be and how clean the place was. Went yesterday, going again today, and again, the staff are anazing people.

Cute little dessert spot in the Gateway! The drinks and food are delicious and so creative! During their first month they're having a promo so check it out!

    The owners!

Crazy Croffles are seriously addictive! The outside is perfectly crispy while the inside stays soft and fluffy, such a perfect combo. I love how many fun flavors they have, and each one tastes just as good as it looks. The vibe is super fun too, making it a spot you'll want to come back to again and again. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

I recently moved to SLC from SoCal and Matcha Café Kyoto came up in my online algorithm (probably…read morebc I have been checking out local sweets and dessert places). I thought it sounded yummy since I enjoy matcha and ube. So I checked it out today for a post-lunch dessert. I really enjoyed it and definitely plan on returning to try some of their other offerings. Today I ordered the matcha ube shaved ice and the cherry blossom latte (I had them make mine using coconut milk). I ate the shaved ice at the cafe and took the cherry blossom latte to go because I wanted to drink it later. They put it in a cute bag! Since it was my first visit there I wanted to try the ube and matcha separately, so for the shaved ice I ordered matcha shaved ice on the bottom, followed by the matcha soft serve and then the ube soft serve on top of that. Next time I order the shaved ice, I think I will most likely have the matcha shaved ice with the matcha/ube twist soft serve on top now that I know how each one tastes on their own. I also would do matcha shaved ice with just the ube soft serve on top. Or maybe ube shaved ice with matcha soft serve on top. The matcha was tasty, and like other reviewers have said, you can tell it's good quality matcha. I really enjoyed the ube, it was very yummy to me. I think for my next visit I'm going to try the ube parfait. The cherry blossom latte was good. I got the sweetened version (it was lightly sweetened not super sweet, which I liked). I didn't want something super sweet. It didn't/doesn't have matcha in it. That was fine with me because I wanted to save it for later and didn't want to have caffeine later in the day. I do think it would taste good with matcha in it though. Overall I enjoyed this cafe. I look forward to trying more items. As of right now the other things I want to try are the ube parfait, the shaved ice again, the warabimochi, the hojicha yuzu latte, and the strawberry matcha latte. If you like matcha and/or ube, I would definitely recommend checking out Matcha Café Kyoto. I know I will be again. Support a local business so that they are able to stay around for us to enjoy.

The bathroom is hidden to the right of the store walking in. Just a warning, the further you go in the store, the more it smells like bathroom... When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted - which is fine, there were a handful of people inside. While ordering, I had asked what was popular and what the cashier suggests, and she said "matcha". I told her it was my first time but she didn't proceed with any recommendations. I decided to go with the ube matcha with oatmilk. She then asked if I'd like cream with it, I had asked if she suggested it and she responds with "well everyone gets it with creamer". Ok so I agreed to try it out. Why not cause everyone gets it with creamer right? I waited about 10 mins, which isn't bad considering the amount of people. She called my name and had 3 other drinks with her. I asked her if the one she was handing me was with oatmilk , and she says "well that's what you ordered right" I tried it and it wasn't oatmilk. I brought it up to her attention and she kinda just said "sorry" and that was all....unfortunately, I can't say it was the best service. If I decide to come back next time, I'll only get straight matcha instead of a latte just to try again. The matcha didn't have a strong taste to it. It was on the watery side. Perhaps I came on the wrong day a they were off with their orders. Who knows...

If you're looking for pastries that are as stunning as they are delicious, Fillings & Emulsions…read moreabsolutely delivers. Their fruit-shaped creations are little works of art--so realistic it almost feels wrong to eat them... almost. Each pastry is fresh, light, and packed with flavor. The pistachio was incredibly tasty, though definitely on the richer side, so it's one you might want to savor slowly. The raspberry had a beautifully balanced sweetness with a vibrant, delicious filling. The lemon was very zingy--almost intensely so--but still delightful if you enjoy bold citrus flavors (just maybe not an entire one in a single sitting). The standout, though, was the mango. Easily the winner. It had such a bright, powerful flavor, and the fresh mango inside made every bite feel special. Everything about it--from taste to presentation--was just beautiful. The only slight letdown was the macarons. While still good, they didn't quite match the intensity and uniqueness of the pastries and felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you appreciate creative, high-quality desserts. It's clear a lot of skill and care goes into every piece. I loved the building that the pastry shop was in, as it had a "lunch room" feel to it. There are a few restaurants inside so there are options and there's plenty of seating.

The sweet cashier recommended Strawberry & Mango, so that's what we got. They were delicious! I think the mango was my personal favorite. The crunch of the chocolate coating was so satisfying and the fillings soft and gooey. It didn't feel artificial either! The location is in a food mall, which I wasn't expecting but it was so cute inside. I wish we had more time to check out the other vendors but we'll have to come back. On a separate note, it was kind of hard to find a trash can.
