This is the best Coffee shop in West Valley! It's still west valley, so there aren't a ton to choose from, but it's still great. I really enjoy the combination of food options, fun seasonal drink choices, and the atmosphere. I often work from coffee shops, and I don't mind this shop for working, but I wouldn't rely on it heavily, as mid day the shop gets quite a few people visiting for the food menu. All the food looked fantastic, I had a concha, and a cup of coffee. Both were great, but next time I definitely want to try some of the other menu items. Azúcar has everything, from quality coffee and tea drinks, to a bomb brunch menu, to enough seating with ample plugs for working and studying, to just... vibes. I have had their lattes and matcha several times, but this visit for a friend's birthday was the first time trying food. Their chilaquiles were legit. Last time I came here, I had the Ganzito iced latte with a snack cake on top; and an avocado toast--both were so good and hit the spot. The staff at front counter was kind enough to go over the different types of drinks with me, because some were unfamiliar. She was very helpful. The place is super cute. It's small, but I was lucky to find my own table even though it was packed. Customers were coming in and out nonstop. There's ample parking in the lot, too. I popped in here on my way to a meeting mid morning on a Monday. The place was busy with people inside and out. There are chairs and booths lining both sides of the shop. I stopped here for a quick coffee before a dance performance, and I was blown away! I got their cafe de olla with an extra shot of espresso in it and it was amazing. I ordered the avocado toast with an over easy egg. SUPER good. There's a sweetness mixed in there and it happened to be the bread. Tasted like cinnamon. They give you a generous amount of avocado. I can't get enough protein, therefore, also ordered the PB&J protein latte. Again, SUPER good. Just make sure you mix it well otherwise the protein will end up on the bottom of the glass. Sometimes tiktok is right. I'm so glad I found a tiktok telling me about this place, and I ended up getting the drink it recommended. It's a small place in an unassuming shopping mall. But it's clean, the staff is quick and friendly, and the drink and treat were amazing. As the cashier told me the banana pudding topping is sweet, but the matcha isn't and that was exactly right. The banana pudding was not overly sweet, strong banana flavor, nicely thick and fluffy. Then you'd get delightful little crunchy pieces of the wafer cookie crumbles. The matcha itself was good quality matcha. Thick and earthy in all the right ways. I never would have thought of this combo but I'm so so glad I tried it. I also thought the prices were great considering other coffee shops around salt lake. Love this little shop! Lots of delicious coffee and tea drinks. I usually get an iced tea. It's kind of small inside with limited seating but I have only taken items to go or ordered via a 3rd party app for delivery. Every time my items have been packaged carefully and my order is exactly as expected. My favorite dish to get is the Chilaquiles. They are covered in a just spicy enough green sauce, fresh made chips and eggs! I have also tried the Alfajores and they were tender and good. They have horchata latte and it was really tasty! I tried a couple of their pastries and didn't like them at all. The small muffin has a raspberry jelly topping and it was very dense. The other pastry has pineapple topping in it and it was very dry. The pastries are ordered someplace else, and it tastes like they were a day old maybe more. It's advertised as a coffee and tea shop but they only have 4-5 different types of tazo tea in a bag. I was hoping for loose tea leaves. They offer free samples of their ice cream, but the staff scraped the walls of barrel so I tasted freezer burn once cream. They had queso ice cream flavor but they ran out. Still curious to know what that would taste like. There are outlets against the walls so you can take your laptop and work inside. There's games you can play like connect 4, tic tac toe, and scrabble. Cute shop, but plenty room for improvement. read more

I mentioned it was my first time and I've been filling azúcar on insta and happy I was finally able to come. All I got was ok cool. When asking about their cafe de olla the girl didn't know if it was sweetened. I just wanted to know if it had milk and sugar or not. This is probably my most favorite coffee shop in the Valley! The ambiance is fantastic, I almost don't want to tell people about it because it's so great. It's a bit out of the way for me, but I love studying here with the in-seat outlets, self serve water, free wifi and ordering their mocha, seasonal lattes, and most especially their cafe de olla, which is fantastic.
