The slider was a decent sized chicken breast, with pickles and a small scope of coleslaw. The bun was okay and the fries were a mix of crunchy and soft with a sprinkle of paprika on top. I wish I could go 4.5 stars for Crazy D's. My only complaint is the pricing. I think the pricing is high. Charging $1 for extra sauce, $10 for onion rings, or $6 for a single chicken tender seems excessive. Otherwise, Crazy D's was pretty solid for my single visit so far. We ordered around 8pm on a Sunday night. There was a steady flow of to-go orders and delivery orders going out while we waited. The wait time wasn't too bad. We got the combo with a tender and a slider as well as the crazy fries. Everything was seasoned well and tasted great. The crazy sauce was very good. My buddy got his tender and slider as "crazy" spice and was warned about the level of heat, but it really wasn't that bad. The portion sizes were pretty good for the fries and combo plate. There is seating in the restaurant and a drive thru, though I've never seen anyone use the drive thru and I'm not sure if it's operational. The music playing inside was good, the inside was clean, and the decor was fine. Overall, I'd come back to Crazy D's, but I think there should be some pricing adjustments to some items and based on other Yelp reviews, there may be some inconsistencies between visits. Updated Review: The owner went out of his way to fix the issues we had our first visit. Our 2nd visit, I had the combo #1 & so did my kiddos. All 3 orders were made correctly & very tasty. My husband got the Crazy Mac with added jalapeños & he loved it. The cole slaw was tasty also. I tried the peach crazy soda this time & really liked it too. My kiddos got the lemonade again this time & it was tasty! The owner made sure it was fixed & my girls were very happy. We were so excited for Carson to get a new restaurant!! However, give this company a little bit of time to get it together. We walked into a super tiny restaurant with maybe 6 tables. All of which were occupied. We stood on the wall until our order was ready. Prices were a little steep for what we received. Quality of food was about 7/10. I ordered the crazy fries (medium) - I thought they were great in flavor. The manager or owner apologized for the wait time and offered us things to make sure we were happy. No one inside when I arrived, took a few minutes to have a girl to ask me for my order. She was not thrilled, placed order to go. The wait started, more customers came in and were regulars. 10 minutes later went by and nothing but orders for uber were coming out. After another 5 minutes went by and 4 uber orders and two regular customers got their food, I asked the girl were my order was and she replied uber is a priority and the two regular customers just happen to get theirs first and mine was just taking longe. My first time ordering here was a great experience, from the welcoming staff to the ambiance in the restaurant. The lighting is very nice, creating a comfortable atmosphere to dine in. Celine, one of your employees, gave me some really good recommendations for it being my first time. For the food, I got Crazy Mac and it was super delicious! The regular number 1 and the OG was correct. The other 2 number 1s came out as number 2s. The girl at the counter was good, non plussed, and got right to correcting the order. It was supposed to be ready by 730pm. The incorrect order was ready by 740pm and the corrected order was done by 745pm. I believe there was a huge order for doordash that may have slowed things down. Previously I got medium chicken and there was little heat. This time I got hot and there was a major increase in heat. I can eat the hot but would like something between medium and hot like a medium-hot or something. Also was hoping they would have an app out. But, alas no. Salad was pre packed and could not be customized to have no onion or tomato. Onion rings were oddly sweet and so was the slaw. All drinks are sweet except for the free bottled water, citing 4 c sugar is in the iced tea and 6 c sugar in the lemonaid. Country style breading was thick and crispy. The Bad: On three different occasions they were out of Crazy Mac for the night early in the evening with five or six hours to go before closing. Not sure what the problem(s) were. Continually coming us short like that is unsat. In dining at the Crazy D's on South Virginia a half a dozen times, they have never been out been out of the Crazy Mac. I always try to add positive comments on any restaurant, but today's review is going to be hard. The building used to be a long John Silvers and then it's changed hands a few times. So when I walked into Crazy D's I was disappointed in the space. They cut the dining room by over 60%. No actual good sitting tables. Ok, the menu shows chicken sliders, tenders and smash burgers. We ordered the crazy smash patty and the chicken slider. Both come with fries. Both were meals but no drinks were included with your order, Disappointed with that issue. Now the food... Not very good. My smash patty was to come with cheese and grilled onions. Well I got no onions and the party was a smash but to be honest, not much of a patty. It had a sauce on it that was different, and very greasy. My fries were ok but got mushy with all the sauce covering it. Ok, the chicken slider. Looked good big patties nice bun. Well, the chicken was dry and did not have much flavor, to be very honest. So I would say it's a basic chicken sandwich. So this is my opinion only and I'm sure some people will love their food. But I say if you want a great chicken sandwich go to Big Chicken or Chick-fil-A. read more

The 30 minute wait is worth it! We waited in a packed dinning room. No one was eating they were all waiting for to-go. We ordered at a 12 piece tender at 6:21 and got the order at 6:50 and the place was packed the whole time. The Tender weighs 5 (five) ounces and damn they taste great. We got them seasoned in Country and Medium. The country is lite and reminds be of country fried chicken. The Medium had a nice flavor and heat that just barely made my mouth tingle. The onion rings and cheese fry basket were Full! The onion rings had to have been 3-4 full onions. The cheese fries were simple but good. I thought they cook the chicken to order, but I guess not. When I got home , there was a puddle of grease at the bottom of the bag and the chicken was not nearly as good as the first time I'd been there. I do believe the chicken had been sitting for awhile. We are so bummed, tried this place for lunch and we were so disappointed. My husband had heard great things but our experience was subpar. Three very young adults working, blocking the menu, when asked questions about the menu or sauce on the side so we could share with our kids and she seemed annoyed that we were interrupting their conversation. The food portion wasn't great for the price, flavor was bland- I had to get the basic to share with my kids but my husband got medium and it still didn't taste like anything was on it, chicken was dry, fries were fine but very basic, the bread tasted old and moldy, had to spit it out and toss it. We decided to try this restaurant for lunch and for the most part we found it enjoyable. We were greeted promptly upon entry. The restaurant is small with only a few tables, but we were lucky enough to find a seat. I wanted to try their two main items, namely the giant chicken tender and the chicken slider, so I ordered a combo containing one of each. We were told it would be about 15 minutes, but it only took about 10. Under-promise and over-deliver. The chicken tender was quite large, at least twice as big as an average chicken strip. It looked very appetizing with a deep brown color on the batter. I had opted for a medium spice level, but was not able to detect any spiciness. The flavor was excellent, just not particularly spicy, so I'll probably up the level to hot or even "crazy" on future visits. The Crazy D sauce was not for me. I don't particularly like mayonnaise, and the sauce tasted mostly like sweet mayo. That being said, the tender was tasty enough without sauce. The slider was made with the same size tender, coleslaw, and their sauce on a basic bun. The coleslaw on its own was fresh, but otherwise forgettable. Somehow though, when combined together, the chicken, slaw and sweet sauce made for an excellent sandwich. It's in no way a slider and I expect most will need a fork and knife to eat it, but it was the highlight of the meal. I ate the rest of my solo tender mixed in with the remains of the slider. I believe pickles are supposed to be included on the slider, but I didn't notice any. The fries were average. A little bit underdone for my taste, especially if they were serving as a base for chicken and sauce, but still OK. I'll definitely return and look forward to trying the hotter versions of the chicken. read more

My husband and I were pleased with our meals. First time trying it and he went mild while I chose medium. Just the right amount of kick for me. I don't like things too spicy because I think it takes away from the flavor of whatever it is you're actually eating. We really have no complaints! Service was good and I appreciated the cashier explaining the levels of heat. He was very personable. My husband doesn't do spicy and so he was happy with the mild. I overheard the cashier in the back questioning maybe the cook why my husband wanted a side of barbecue sauce. That's just my husband! He loves his barbecue sauce especially on his chicken. I asked them if they knew which brand it was. They were nice enough to let me know that it is Sweet Baby Ray's, which I know my husband likes (sweet baby YAY vs. a vinegar sauce ). Overall, it was exactly what we expected. These days, we are usually paying a minimum of $10 to $15 a person to eat out... So combo 1 was right in the ballpark being just over $10. It's just the way things are now. And I actually was surprised at how clean and nice looking the interior was. I had never been inside the previous restaurant, but I kind of wondered what it would be like inside. Surprisingly, it just was a little bit nicer than I thought it would be.
