Breakfast at the Nugget
Earnest G.

Bacon and eggs. Simple egg breakfast. Done well. 4 pieces thick smokey bacon. Hashbrowns done crispy, eggs over easy just right. Toast extra dark the way I like to ordered it. and hot Friendly staff.

The all American breakfast with a side of pancakes and sausage

The all american breakfast with a side of pancackes and sausage is more then enough to fill a big man like myself and my brother. We both ordered the same thing and we were both satisfied with the portion and taste. Great place to grab a good, filling breakfast. Also adding our waitress was excellent and we had great, fast service.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST FRIES I'VE EATEN MY ENTIRE LIFE.....The food was awesome, especially considering the price...the only thing lacking is the decor of the restaurant but who cares? The staff here has great customer service, which I think is way more important. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Where has this been all my life, and why is it tucked in a small food court in a bowling alley!? I…read moreordered the Wild West Tater and honestly was expecting a fairly satisfying, but ordinary, baked potato with toppings. What I received was an amazing blend of super tender pork in a slightly sweet but tangy BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, and a perfectly cooked (not hard or dry), very generously sized potato (big enough for two). On a chilly day, when you're hungry, this absolutely fits the bill. Warming and savory, but well balanced, and not greasy. After some bowling or billiards? Perfect. I was thinking this was probably the best flavor, when I saw the rotating ad for....a spaghetti potato pie. Will have to come back and try other varieties. The cashier was very helpful and patient explaining the menu. Checked the website and looks like they update the menu with new options too. They say they're "dedicated to perfecting the art of the baked potato," and they're doing exactly that. Along with it, they're also serving up one of the best craft-style fountain sodas, Stubborn Soda. Don't hesitate to make a little detour (or order delivery) to try this place. TIP: Located inside the HomeGrown Bowl center: from the main entrance, head down the hall to the right past the arcade; also near a side entrance.

They told us not to order over the phone, only online. OK, fine, but it seems like you shouldn't turn away business just because we used a phone. We got our order placed online instead. My wife received a confirmation email and then an email saying our order was ready for pickup. She arrived at the restaurant, and the lady working said she had never gotten an order and hadn't started on it. So my wife waited for the food to be prepared and finally got it home. The food was good. The mac and cheese potato is really good. The mac and cheese was a star. The shepherd's pie was ok, but a little shy on the meat and needed some more seasoning. At least the portions are large, and you'll likely be able to split an order into two meals unless you're super hungry. The inside of this place is small and located inside the bowling alley building. Nothing special about the ambiance. Takeout is probably the way to go. This place should be 3 stars. However, I am going to cut a little slack and assume it was a one-off experience. So for this review, I am sticking with 4 stars. When I return, I hope the food is up to par, and the service improves. I would love to write a 5-star review for this small local business.

However, service has been a challenge during each visit. On our most recent visit, it took about 20 minutes to be seated with a party of four, including a child, even though there appeared to be open tables. After sitting down, it took several minutes before we were greeted. Our server brought waters and later took drink orders, but there wasn't much communication about timing or whether they were short staffed. Once we placed our order, we waited close to an hour for our food. We completely understand that restaurants can get busy and staffing can be tight -- we just would have appreciated a quick update along the way. A little communication goes a long way and helps set expectations. When our food arrived, part of the order was incorrect (we had requested a salad and soup substitution but only received fries). The server corrected it, and the food itself was good. It did come out at different times, and we noticed another table seated after us received their food much sooner, which was a bit confusing. We truly want to support Roy's and hope this feedback is helpful. With stronger communication and smoother service flow, it could be a great experience.

They had the banner for best brunch 2025 hanging nicely. Diane, the owner, put us on the waitlist and also showed us to our table. Very warm welcome! We started off with coffee. Hubby had the Chorizo Quesadilla and enjoyed it very much. The portion was enough for 2 meals. Sure enough, he took half home. I had the Coconut French Toast, the small portion. Even though it's supposed to be small, I still left some on my plate. Love the fresh sliced bananas with it! There are more menu items we would love to try. Just need to come back and visit again!

To make the experience even better, the owner, Diane, actually came by our table to introduce herself. It's always really nice to see an owner who is that attentive to her customers and invested in the dining experience. For my meal, I ordered the breakfast burrito which, as you can see from the photo, comes wrapped in a great spinach tortilla and served with sour cream, and salsa. It was loaded with egg, chorizo, green and red peppers, onions, and pepper jack cheese. I was a bit surprised, though, because even with so many distinct, flavorful ingredients packed inside, those flavors didn't quite come through. The pepper jack cheese was just a little too heavy-handed and ended up overpowering everything else in the burrito. The other minor issue was that I had specifically ordered hashbrowns with my meal, but I was served the breakfast potatoes instead. They were still perfectly crisp and seasoned well, but just wasn't exactly what I asked for. Overall, the atmosphere and the service made it a great experience, but I just wish the burrito had a better balance with less cheese, and that the sides hadn't gotten mixed up. I'd definitely give them another shot, though!

Our waitress and the bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with recommendations (our first time here). I had a cup of their clam chowder as a starter (I was starving) and it was easily the best chowder I've had outside of San Francisco and Seattle. My main was their French dip. It was piled high with thinly shaved beef and cheese. Would definitely recommend. My wife enjoyed her salmon and eggs Benedict. I tried a bit of it and thought the salmon had fantastic flavor. I definitely recommend enjoying a meal here. We'll definitely be back, though next time we'll know to secure a reservation ahead of time.
