Stopped by Crazy Freds Truck Stop had lunch and met a group of great friendly people. The establishment is very clean and well stocked everyone greeted us with a smile and a hardy welcome. As for the food OMG it was great I had their chili burger with onion rings and it was HUGE and Michelle added some jalapeños to it and I was in heaven, Lisa had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was by her own admission the best ever These girls interact with each other and the customers and it was not only fun to watch but add a great meal and life just doesn't get much better. Really nice hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant inside. Its no high end place, so don't expect that going in. But they do have an awesome lunch buffet for $11.99 (11am-4pm). Its a great value and they do have about 10 or 11 items to choose from. The butter chicken was my personal favorite. - if you like Indian food and dont need a fancy restaurant, then you should definitely give this place a try. There's not many options for this kind of thing in the Kingman area anyway. read more

The stars are based on middle of nowhere gas stations. Accidentally passed Kingman and didn't want to go back for a bathroom break. Got off the 40 and followed the rest stop signs to the frontage Route 66 road. Drove 3 minutes and came upon this truck stop. It looked old and abandoned from the front, but inside is a well stocked convenience store. We stopped and used the bathrooms which were clean and quiet with multiple stalls. And then we were on our way. If you miss Kingman, stop here for your snacks/ bathroom breaks. They sell gas too, but I didn't get any. read more

The only thing that's crazy about Crazy Fred's Truck Stop is their prices. They must be really proud of them because they sure are enormous. I knew something was up with Crazy Fred's when I noticed the Indian snacks sitting on the shelf next to the regular convenience store goods. So I wandered into the diner, saw the little Indian menu alongside the regular menu, and ordered the best masala chai I've had outside India. The owner showed me his mixture of whole spices and tea-- cardamom, cinnamon, everything tasty-- and about ten minutes later, I was out the door with a warm cup of sweet, creamy, flavorful chai. Real Indian roadside dhaba chai, bringing back memories of a road trip in Rajasthan...., I could have closed my eyes and been transported back, if only it hadn't been so icy cold outside. Next time I'll have to linger a little longer and have a paratha. read more

I asked her to go ahead and help her first as I was still looking around at food and she gave me a dirty rude look. Ok.....Place was very dirty and extremely outdated. The exterior doesn't give you any idea of the great food that lies inside. This place has the best parathas (a spicy stuffed pan fried bread) I have had outside of India. Other highlights include daal (lentils) homemade plain yoghurt, and a spicy homemade lemon pickle. The chicken curry, or very occasionally goat curry, is also very very good. A MUST TRY for foodies who appreciate authentic Indian cuisine -- especially of the "dhaba" (roadside eateries) variety. read more

The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly. The Greyhound bus to Las Vegas stops by here and picks up passengers (who have tickets). You can also buy Greyhound tickets here. There is a convenience store that makes up half of the place and the other half is a restaurant, but I haven't tried the food as it was closed and I was there for the Greyhound bus. read more

The food was excellent. My only complaint would be having to use the ATM to get cash to pay for food on diner side. Which costs almost 3 more dollars. What confuses me is when I usually buy drinks and snacks in the convenience store side they take my card no problem. Being a local that lives close by I get the feeling that the owner is running a scam to get more money out of the people just passing through. I asked him repeatedly if I could just be rung up at the register ten feet away which he declined and demanded I use the ATM. I ordered a hamburger which was delicious. My significant other got a salad which she stated was "okay". Would recommend bringing cash if visiting this location. May need lots of ones for whorehouse behind truck stop. read more

The "chef" left the waitress alone to take orders,cook the food and handle the money on her third day. There was zero hint of an Indian menu. The place has obviously given up. The poor waitress really could have used any form of help, especially from the 2 male employees sipping coffee, watching tv and ignoring the fact that the ship was sinking. read more

A trucker friend from out of town parked at Crazy Fred's for about 90 minutes the morning of Oct. 6, 2016. We live nearby and took her into Kingman to take care of some business and eat breakfast. We came back to find her big rig blocked in by a service pickup and a black Impala with California plates. There were two papers on her windshield. One, a "parking fee" for $143.75. There also was an invoice dated June 15, 2016, for repairs of the same amount. She never authorized this work and the truck number and name on the invoice didn't match hers. She was able to move her illegally blocked truck. We tried to speak with management and the repair person and they just told us to "call the number on the paper." We called Mohave County Sheriff's Department and a report was taken. When we left, the deputy was talking to the guy who had blocked her truck. There also are no posted signs indicating it was a fee-based parking area. It's a truck stop. The sign out front states this. She was driving a Ryder rental truck (her regular truck is being repaired.) Allegedly, work was done on a Ryder truck and the bill wasn't paid, so it appears Crazy Fred's is going after EVERY Ryder truck that parks on its property. Be warned! read more
