They are pricey at $1,267 but a three year old federal law will not let you replace a pool motor that goes bad with a $300 replacement motor. (Like me, I'll bet many pool owners are not aware of this.) I checked around and prices were the same with other pool companies. Those companies did not have valid contractor licenses with the state. For a price over $1,000, Arizona law requires that the work be performed by a licensed contractor. I went on www.azroc.gov which is for the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and through a search there found Always Clean. The installation was great and it took him a little over two hours including the training of how to use the computer system it has. You can spot a true professional by how accurately they can perform a repair or install task. Also, they can troubleshoot any existing problems with ease. Todd made it look easy. There is no way that I could have done it. When your kids or grandkids swim in a pool you want absolute safety. Hiring a licensed contractor is worth it.

I kept them on and I'm not sorry. I did a little pricing and they were the most reasonable. So, as far as cost goes, they were reasonable, last time I checked. Getting repair work done has been pretty reasonable and timely. I don't know if I overpaid for repairs and extra maintenance, but the pricing was reasonable - especially when convenience and timeliness are factored in. From time to time I have challenged the work done or service provided. I typically receive a phone call within 24 hours and we come to an amicable solution to the problem. They have never tried to talk their way out of responsibility and are always willing to work with me. Sometimes, I'm in the wrong because of a misunderstanding of the services agreed to. Even then, they've given me some sort of consideration for the inconvenience. Other times when I've asked about an equipment change they have looked and told me that it was unnecessary to make a change . . . saves me $$. Given the use of he pool (like non-existent) I sometime question the practicality of having a pool. But, it's there and it's a nice visual feature and Aqua Shine keeps it looking good.

He said he could service it that same morning. I was so relieved as it was a Saturday and the only other person responding at that time couldn't do it. I wasn't able to meet him out there because I had my daughters birthday party that day. I am one that prefers to be onsite when I have someone coming to fix something but I didn't really have a choice since we had new guests coming in that afternoon. Within 20 min of giving the address Stephen was able to locate the problem and sent pictures of what was wrong. After fixing it he checked a few other things and filled it back up and sent over pictures of the finished job. He charged me for the flat service fee that was quoted and was on his way. I felt so relieved it was all taken care of and by the time our guests arrived they had a nice hot spa waiting for them. Anthony came out and worked on our spa/pool heater issue. Unfortunately there were several issues…read moregoing that we were not aware of. There was a small opening so a desert rat made a nest into the unit. Anthony fixed the first error, cleaned out the nest and helped to cover the openings so that hopefully it won't be able to get back inside. While we were talking over the repairs he realized that the heater stopped working again and found a new error code. Thankfully he had the part necessary to do that repair and we tried to use the heater again and it worked. Overall, I would say that he was very knowledgeable about our entire pool equipment issue and was upfront with the repairs and potential pitfalls of repairing an older unit. Hopefully the repair lasts a couple of seasons!
