Here's what you need to know: $1 for unlimited chips and salsa $1 per person for styrofoam cups, no option $1 to run your credit card. That's $4 before I'm handed a menu. I say this, because it's something to upset a few people, and you should know before hand! The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Although we were the only ones in there on a Friday at 6pm, they seemed to be rushed. However, the waitress was fantastic. The food runners were quick with a water or chip refill, so there's no complaints there. The decor is set with Bridgeport football in the corner, and the rest of the restaurant is the coal miner theme from Bridgeport's history. Each booth his named after an actual coal mine, and it's a very innovative concept! Light and crisp chips, and decent salsa. I got the chimichanga, with an offer of a few sauces, and they were very accommodating when I asked for half-and-half cheese sauce and sour cream sauce. The outside was nice and warm, crispy and flaky, but the middle was very cold. My wife ordered the spinach enchiladas. They too were very cold. We had to send them back, and when they came back the plate was hot, and the insides were not. She did not eat her dinner. The owner sent us a complimentary sopapilla, because he knew the kitchen had really missed tonight. It was a very nice gesture. There is a bar tucked into the corner, but we did not order. There wasn't even a margarita upsell? Weird! I am happy we tried it, but they really missed tonight. 2 Stars because I can't get over how solid the waitress was! read more

Great little hometown type place, obvious big supporters of the community they serve. The restaurant design recognizes a part of Bridgeports history that I'm sure many people don't know of. Comfortable and relaxing environment imbedded with local history. The food is good and the service is good as well as friendly. Seems like one of those places that mostly locals know anout, but I think that will change as more people learn they're there. I do recommend giving this place a try! I'll go back, probably more than once. read more

My wife and I went to have a late lunch in Bridgeport and stopped at Crazy Pablos. What a great place! I had the relleno with some jalapenos on top and boy did that hit the spot, also had a sopapilla afterwards. Was sooo delicious we have to go back again and try the rest of the menu. After a winery visiting in Alvord we decided to visit the quaint downtown of Bridgeport as we wanted some dinner. We decided to try Crazy Pablos Cantina where we were greeted quickly at the door and told to sit anywhere. Shortly after sitting down our waiter introduced himself and ask if we wanted anything to drink. Another team member brought us chips, a jug of salsa and two small bowls. Others have complained that they charge a $1 for chips and salsa which is not a big deal as some people get basket after basket of chips. I think it was great they bring out a small jug of salsa. Service was prompt and friendly as we joked around with the young wait staff. Restaurants are having a challenging time finding wait staff and great to see some young kids willing to work. They team also checked back several times to make sure everything was ok which was appreciated. -Food came out hot and order was correct. -Side of guacamole was good with the chips and salsa. -Fajitas order is large enough for two -I really wanted a chimichanga and they did have one on the menu. Beef could use a little more seasoning and I like my chimi crispy but overall good. -Side dish of corn was good but is a little pricey at $5 Atmosphere is family friendly as they have a mixture football and kids shows in the tvs. Do not recall if there was a kids menu. Bathroom was clean. Would we visit again - yes if in the area and looking for some Mexican. read more

Time for a rant. Yesterday, we tried a new restaurant, Crazy Pablos Mexican Restaurant in Bridgeport, TX. We sat down and the waitress asked if we would like chips and salsa. That was my first clue. Native Texans know that chips and salsa is complimentary at a Mexican restaurant. So i asked if there was a charge. She said there was a $2.00 charge with "unlimited" refills. OK, we ordered them. We ordered lunch with water, which came in styrofoam cups. Not exactly normal for a sit-down restaurant, but oh well.. Lunch was ok, service was ok. We get the bill and find that we were charged $2.00 for TAP WATER in a styrofoam cup! WTH! I understand that food prices have gone up, but please don't nickel and dime me! Just raise the price appropriately. Rant over. read more

We drove from west Fort Worth to Bridgeport to take our grandson to dinner. This place is a hidden jewel. They charge a dollar for chips and hotsauce but the chips were hot and fresh and the hotsauce was great. So was the Queso. My wife had fajitas and there was enough for 2 people. I had a Chili Relleno and it was great with choice of 4 sauces. Service was execeptional. Place is clean and cozy. We most definitely go back again. It's worth the drive. You really need to try it. First of all they kind of make you pay upfront for "unlimited chips and salsa".... we came a Saturday night wanting to get a good dinner before going out for a few drinks. Not even 15 minutes of sitting down and they are out of chips for the night. Which they did not tell us they just kept saying they'll be right out. Then after 45 minutes another waitress said we have been out of chips for a while. I get on Saturday with a full house might get crazy but why not check inventory and tell customers upfront what's going on instead of offering something they don't have. Then we waiting an hour and half for two plates of enchiladas that were not hot. Love to support local restaurants but this was a huge disappointment. read more

I wandered into this establishment during the Jeep Festival in Bridgeport last weekend and I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed! I was very cheerfully greeted at the door and told I could sit anywhere (I chose the bar). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I also met the owner and had a lovely conversation with him. I asked him what he recommended and he mentioned that the street tacos were very popular and also pointed out that the chile rellenos were his own special recipe. Well I was intrigued ... I haven't had a good chile relleno since I left home. When I said that, he gave me a money back guarantee on the dish. So I decided to take him up on it and ordered the beef fajita stuffed chile relleno plate (with red sauce). Needless to say, he got paid for the dinner as the food was out of this world! So I can confidently say that between the wonderful staff, charming ambience and the excellent food I will definitely be going back! read more

Tried this place for the first time last night. Mostly very good. The inside has been redone and looks fantastic. Very well laid out and decor is very cool. Nice bar area and overall has a good vibe to it. The chips are fresh and very tasty. The salsa is just ok, which seems to be a theme for the area. Very mild and just so so. We ordered cheese dip and it was not great. Very plain and not a lot of taste. The entrees were all excellent and portions are large. Our group ordered enchiladas, fajitas, and a hamburger. All tasted great! I think if you can fix the salsa and the cheese dip, you'll have a home run. It would also be nice if you had an option for black beans on the menu. I would rate 3 1/2 stars, but easily can go to a 5. We'll be back! read more

Best Tex-Mex food in Wise county! Best Chili Rellenos I have EVER had and I grew up in Dallas & Fort Worth with fabulous restaurants to choose from. I got mine with fajita chicken with the sour cream sauce. The fun decor outside caught our attention as we drove by which made me know that that the inside had to be FUN too & it was. Modeled after Bridgeport's history of a mine town, it has the rustic & fun theme throughout. Each booth is named after a real original Bridgeport mine...see the cool mirror at the end that gives the illusion more mines are ahead. Chef Pablo is EXTREMELY talented. But the hook to me was our fun loving waitress Angela. She kept bringing smiles to our faces with her genuine Texas demeanor. When I asked her what she recommended, she said she decided to work there because EVERYTHING was good on the menu. My eye kept going to the Chili Rellenos, so I ordered it and I crave it probably everyday because it was that good (the way it was seasoned and meat diced to absorb the seasoning...I don't do peppers but it was not hot at all just flavorful). After dinner, go across the street to Locality for an after dinner drink. Also, either put your kiddos on their fun bull, horse & other kids riding machine out front. Or do like me and hop on yourself and bring out the inner kid in you. Patio in the back is coming soon. I just had no idea Bridgeport had such good food in town! Very impressed with the food quality. Checked out Crazy Pablo's last night. The new remodel is crazy cute to resemble an old coal mine which was the industry in Bridgeport way back when. The menu was updated and the food was excellent. Bar is open with beer and wine. I'll recommend to my friends if looking for cozy, friendly atmosphere with great food. Heard good things about this place. My first time here and I will never, ever return. For a Saturday evening it was not busy. The only staff to be seen were two young servers. My guess would be under 20 years old. Did learn later there were 3 cooks or staff in the kitchen. Server seemed fine at the beginning when taking drink orders. While she was taking food orders from the 6 of us, she was writing everything down. When food came out, it was delivered by the other server. I have no problem with that. However, one dish was incorrect and one dish was totally missing. The original server came by stating the missing dish would be out in 5 minutes. In the meantime we asked for an extra plate to share food and drink refills. The plate and drink wasn't delivered. I went to the back area and got a plate myself. The 5 of us finished our meals before the missing dish was brought out. We asked for the manager or owner. Neither was there. I really hope that it wasn't the first shift for either of these servers. In any case there should be someone on site to supervise because neither server has any business being servers. Food itself was average comparable to Taco Bell. read more

A surprise gem of a restaurant. My wife go on a "Date" at least twice a month. Bridgeport, Texas has had a facelift on one of their main downtown streets, and is a really nice place for a walk and window shopping. This week we decided to try "Crazy Pablos Cantina. The decor was amazing. It was really nice and a perfect place for a date. The service was great but the most amazing thing was how wonderful, everything we ordered tasted. I had the "Trio Fajitas", with shrimp, chicken and beef. It was amazing good. even the re-fried beans and rice was delicious. My wife ordered Chicken Enchiladas. The cream-cheese sauce was so creamy and tasty. The meal was so good, I called a friend to let him know. He said he and his wife had been there a year or two back, right after they had first opened and they were not impressed. I begged him to give Crazy Pablos a second chance and I assured him, he would be impressed this time. If you like Tex-Mex, do yourself a favor and try it out. We plan on going back, at least, once a month. Oh yeah, we met the owner, while there, and he was a super, super nice guy and very much, appreciative, of our visit. read more
