The is without competition the best taqueria I know. The staff are wonderful. The food is out of this world. And it's dirt cheap. This is my favorite breakfast and lunch place for Mexican food. You really cannot do better than their food. The Torta is fantastic if tacos aren't your thing. Dinners when open are a delight. If you haven't gone you simply must go. Love the entrepreneurial spirit of the owner converting a nostalgic gas station into a community Mexican food diner. On previous trips through town on Hwy 51, I had seen customers at the outside walk-up order window. On this trip, timing was right and I had time and stopped in for a breakfast burrito. The service by the lone attendant was very fast and efficient managing a fairly consistent flow of take-out order customers. The small dining area, fashioned out of the previous car service bay, was comfortably appointed and the food aroma was pleasing. The chorizo, potato, and egg burrito was tasty and the sauce served on the side added the spice one would expect. I will stop again for breakfast the next time I am passing through. read more

Do you live or work in Decatur and haven't been here? That's a mistake. This taqueria is the real deal. The salsa is amazing and spicy. The food is great and soooo cheap. The burrito with any meat in it is $3. Quesadillas $4, rice and beans $2. Good portions. Love it. read more

0 stars if I could....used to like it...dont waste your time ....last 3 times I have not received what I ordered...they just throw whatever they have left onto a tortilla, just ordered 8 breakfast tacos...eggs and chorizo, 2 bottled cokes..$20 ...left 5 dollar tip...the lady,, before she took my money reached into her mouth right in front of me, grabbed gum with fingers and dropped it, I assume into a trash can? it was like I inconvenienced her...I get home..open up container and their is 8 tortillas filled with what looks and smells like dogfood..I tried to give it to one of my dogs but she would not eat it....all that was there was refried beans, potato and a mountain of cheese, I THINK???...WT Heck man..like I said will not waste my time again...I have never left a review in my life but am compelled to today...would love to call and let em know....disgusting....honestly, seems like everytime I have been, I get the "i'm not welcome here" if ya know what I mean....what it seems like anyways ??? :) read more

Primo's is my absolute favorite place to eat in Decatur. Amazing tacos. It's a tragedy this place isn't higher on the list.

It has been many years since I have been to Primo's. I finally made it over there again for lunch today. It was even better than I remembered! I went there for the barbacoa (which is my favorite) but unfortunately they were out. The nice lady told me they would have some more prepared tomorrow. So instead I ordered one carnitas taco which was tender, juicy slow cooked pork and one asada taco which was flavorable steak. They both came with cheese, onion, cilantro and fresh slices of avocado with a side of their salsa verde. They also had burritos and tostadas on the menu but I cannot vouch for those because I haven't tried them yet. I have also heard that they make a mean breakfast. For both taco's it only cost me about $2.50 so you can't beat that. If you're in the area and love authentic Mexican street tacos, I highly recommend this place. P.S. I fully intended to take a picture and devoured them before I even thought about it cuz they smelled soooo good!!! :) read more

Delicious and inexpensive tacos in an ex gas station. Super nice folks. The Barbados and pork carnita tacos were sublime. The Al pastor was good, with lots of pepper. My husband has a torta and it was delicious. Skip the chains and come here! read more
