I have now two goldendoodles from Ginnie. First one I got in Spring 2017, the second I just got a couple days ago. Both of my lovebugs came to me clean, fat, social, and so happy. They easily trusted and bonded to me because they had clearly been shown love & caring in their first 8 weeks. It's heartbreaking to see bad reviews as I've actually had experience dealing with puppy mill dogs, fostering them. I also had the misfortune of discovering an old coworker had been backyard breeding with zero knowledge and sadly, some of her litters died from her carelessness. This is NOT that kind of operation. These puppies are very well cared for. I absolutely respect Ginnie's protection of her puppies, keeping outside elements (humans) from vulnerable immune systems is something I preferred. I have had a vet come over and check both pups upon returning home (two years ago and this week), both vets have exclaimed how social and healthy they were/are -- that it was a reflection of a really good upbringing. Your pup has not been riding around in vehicles prior to Ginnie bringing them to you, it would be ridiculous to expect zero carsickness. My first pup got carsick on our first drive, my second didn't. Both pups peed in my carriers on my drives, they're not dirty -- they're puppies. Ginnie definitely is not very technologically advanced and I attribute that to her lifestyle not shadiness. Not getting constant individual updates (although she does update her site every couple weeks with new pictures) nor constant email communication didn't bother me one bit (even as a software programmer). I wholeheartedly recommend Ginnie and her GoldenDoodles. If we get a third, I would absolutely choose Ginnie again. read more

I picked up my pupster In Sacramento gas station..... for a fee, even though I offer to drive up and pick my sweetie-pie dog. My sweetie has been great, but I know his history is not complete. His coat is odd, and not a true goldendoodle. I love him so much, he's a very good dog I just do not trust a business that will not let you go to their home of business. We recently bought a puppy from these folks in Oregon. We're from the San Francisco Bay Area and instead of having the puppy fly out here we decided to go pick up the puppy there. We drove around 6 hours to pick up our puppy. We wanted a Golden Doodle puppy and they advertised that they had a new litter. We called them up for availability and after finding out some were still available, we opted for a female puppy. Before we sent the owner a deposit for the puppy, she was pretty quick in responding to emails and phone calls and after a couple phone calls and emails we sent our deposit check. The reason we picked a Golden Doodle is mainly because they're not supposed to shed and we prepared ourselves with this understanding. The puppies were 4 weeks old when we put up a deposit and had to wait for another 4 weeks before we could pick up our puppy. While waiting, I requested to see the pictures of puppies to see what we would be getting. The owner (Ginne) said she doesn't take individual pictures till the puppies are much older so we said OK. We again asked for pictures couple weeks later to which she replied all new pictures would be put online in her website. The pictures she put were very very small and they were of puppies that were probably 2-4 weeks old. She wouldn't put recent pictures up. We offered to drive up to Oregon (6 hrs drive) to visit and see how things were. She put that off saying we might bring germs into her kennel and we sorta understood that too. So we decided that we'd wait and just see the puppy when we pick her up. A few days before we were to pick up the puppy, we offered to drive up to the owners kennel to pick up the puppy so we could see how things were there. She would not let us meet at the kennel at all. She refused to say where to meet until we booked our overnight hotel and asked us to meet her outside an Arby's 10 mins away from the hotel. When we first saw the puppy she was tiny and scared but she didn't really look like a Doodle. She looked more like a Golden Retriever but we thought maybe that's how they look in the beginning. It's been a week now that we've had our puppy and we absolutely are committed to her. But she is starting to look more and more like a Golden Retriever than a Doodle. And on top of that she's shedding. No way she's a Doodle. I contacted the breeder and she said it's not a Golden Retriever and that it's absolutely a Golden Doodle. We love our puppy but if you're looking for a Doodle, don't trust these breeders. 1. They don't communicate at all 2. They never show you what you're going to get and absolutely won't send you pictures. 3. They never show you how they're raising the dogs, 4. You are highly likely to not get what you're expecting. After a few exchanges I decided that with the lack of information on the website, the unprofessional responses from her, and the other reviews here on yelp, this kennel was too sketchy to support. We learned after the fact that she is nothing more than a puppy mill (Nit only can you smell it on The puppies, but you can smell it ON HER)! She has MULTIPLE liters of all sorts of breeds at a time and it's constant! She's never without litters...and many of them. She won't allow you to pick up your puppy at her house. First red flag! Aside from the puppy mill dogs that don't match the breed description, they used to sell fake "micro pigs" with advice to feed practically starve them to keep the size down. She refuses to share her location and lied stating she was located in Roseburg, which turned out to be Williams, another 90 min drive due to her insistence on providing the address literally while we were on our way from Corvallis. We didn't have any issues with communication, regardless of what others have written here. Ginnie at Crazy Women Kennels is knowledgeable, helpful and puts the safety and care of her pups first. We recently purchased a first generation female Golden Doodle. I've had many pups over my lifetime and was so pleasantly surprised at how socialized our pup is. I expected her to be timid and shaky our first day. In fact she was well adjusted, playful, fat, clean and so happy. I'm confused by so many negative and mean-spirited comments. I don't know Ginnie personally but I found her to be equally professional and kind and eager to spend the time we needed answering our questions. I'm also confused as to why seven high ranking, positive reviews were pushed to the end requiring me to click another place in order to have access to them. I highly recommend this breeder. Many years ago I experienced what Parvo can do. I commend Ginnie's protocol and how she operates her kennel for the safety of her animals. Lastly, if you read your community's newspaper or watch your local news there are events reported daily of scary/deadly crimes right in our own neighborhoods. If I owned a kennel I know I would not feel comfortable putting my address out there or inviting strangers to my home. In my own past research it used to say to view the premises and meet the pups parents if possible. Sadly, that is no longer feasible in our world. Some breeders do it, some do not. We found this "breeder" online and were very excited to learn that they had goldendoodle puppies that were just born and that would be ready in a couple months. We called and talked to Ginnie and indicated that we wanted to get a dog - she pushed back and said that we needed to talk it over, think it over, make SURE that we wanted the dog; despite my wife saying repeatedly that we wanted the dog as we've been looking for weeks. So we agreed to wait until morning to be sure. Fast forward to morning - my wife emailed Ginnie at 9:09am, saying yes, we definitely want the dog. About an hour later she responded, saying "sorry, the dog is spoken for." Needless to say, these people are extremely unprofessional, and, from what I've gathered reading the other reviews on Yelp, are possibly meth addicts running a puppy mill. He is first generation so he does shed a bit but not as heavy as a regular golden. I got my little goldendoodle from this kennel a week ago and the entire process was most frustrating. I was not given pictures as a guaranteed buyer. There was a picture at two weeks, four weeks, and six weeks but were only available on the site. I've gone through different breeders before and they would willingly send me pictures of my expected puppy without me having to ask. But not this kennel. It's like I wasn't allowed to see what was actually going on. I didn't know what puppy I was getting until I met her outside an Arby's. I had asked previously which puppy I had been matched with and she would not tell me. Her response was "They all look alike in this litter". That answer wasn't even applicable to my question...Also, it seems like there are way too many litters being constantly produced. There were three during the time I was expecting my puppy. They have one more now and another expected at the end of this month...That's an insane amount of dogs on one property. Not being able to meet at the kennel itself seemed very suspicious to me. There were some instances where I felt unsure enough to the point where I thought it was a scam but after my deposit has cleared, there was no backing out without losing my money for sure. My biggest issue was lack of communication. Though she was very quick to return the emails, the questions I would ask like "How are they doing?" "What tools do I need for grooming?" "May I see more pictures of the puppies?" "Has it been determined which puppy I'll be receiving?" would not be answered. The response I would get was "You'll just have to wait". I felt uncomfortable and afraid to ask any more questions which no one should ever feel when trying to go through a breeder. Everything was just very odd and I felt uneasy throughout the entire process. I didn't feel confident or like I could trust the kennel. The reason the review isn't lower is because Bennett is a wonderful dog. He is happy and healthy and highly intelligent. He's playful but definitely loves his cuddles. We absolutely love him. He also came with a nice puppy package with his records and a little blanket he loves.
