Getting quality product from this place is hugely hit or miss.
The biggest problem is that the staff isn't on the same page. Some of their folks provide excellent service, others seem like dealing with you is an inconvenience. I've held off writing a review because they're literally right down the street from me, however after my last couple visits I really couldn't avoid this.
First thing that threw me off from buying new liquid was the fact that one of the people behind the counter was rocking a surgical mask - no idea why, but that kinda thing, in an environment where you're mixing a liquid I'm going to be inhaling is a huge mistake - imagine someone working the line in a restaurant with an open kitchen rocking one, during flu season; are you going to eat the food? I wouldn't, and I opted to not buy any liquid from them this time either.
Second thing: I went in looking for a specific wick for my tank. I explained what I wanted and why I wanted it. Only to be told that I was wrong, and that I should actually be getting something else. This just pissed me off, I was getting the wick that someone had suggested on my last visit and it worked really well, now someone different was telling me something else. When I mentioned that I had a fixed voltage battery and variable voltage battery, this seemed to kinda confuse the associate. She tried to express something to justify her suggestion which basically came out like "well since you can change the fixed voltage" and I stopped listening to anything she said after that: it was a complete failure to provide the customer with what they were looking for and a major failure to grasp what I was asking for.
Third - their eliquid is like getting a burrito from Moe's: it's the same ingredients (you assume) but it never really tastes the same. It can range from the subllme, to the absolutely disgusting. I've only had one of their "house" blends, and it was really good, however, when I got a refill, it tasted like burnt hair. I brought it back to the store. They stated that my wicks were the problem (despite having used the liquid without issue for two weeks) and swapped it for another one - same problem. They then stated that they "must have made it differently" this week, and then went so far as to say that Kangertec tank and coil couldn't handle dark e-liquids correctly. Despite the waste of about an hour of my time, and theirs, they did give me a 30ml bottle of something else gratis, which was nice. However, the associates often act like custom blends are a burden - however, what's the point in having all those flavors and specifically having the ability to do custom flavors, if you're going to make the client feel uncomfortable asking for it. Plus, the most recent blend of this liquid that I got tasted like complete garbage
Fourth is their hardware quality. I used to order all my wicks online, and I never had problems with them. Since I started purchasing them from this store, it feels like I need to bring back every other wick I purchase due to some kind of problem, its ridiculous. Furthermore, all their replacement wicks come from cabinet that you can't see. It seems like they have 3 or 4 different suppliers of parts, and are generally completely unable to provide replacement parts from the same manufacturer. The end result is you have no idea who is making your wick, in my case I never know if its Kanger or some other company. Product doesn't appear to be packaged - generally they just seem to fish out a wick: sometimes individually wrapped, sometimes just hanging out on its own. Not gonna lie, it seems very strange when its happening.
The biggest issue I have is that everyone who works there seems to have their own opinion on what you need. Some of them are absolutely awesome, others are just terrible. I'm going to pay a bit more money and drive a few more miles in the future and go a different shop in the future where they have the products I need, and sell them in a way that I don't feel like I'm getting different information every time I'm there.
I guess it comes down to this: I have to give them two stars because sometimes there have been some absolutely great experiences. However, there have been just too many poor and terrible ones to give them a better rating, or give them my business in the future. read more
