We've used this company once before and they were fine (only complaint was the umbrella we received was dirty). So now when we went to do business with them again, I called to inquire about an umbrella and was told it was in stock and ready to go. When I called 10 min later to actually book, another person answered the phone and said I would get a callback in a few minutes from the person originally helping me. Well 24 hours went by with no callback and so I called to book the umbrella. Turns out they are now sold out. Unsure why I never got a callback and pretty upset if that I was lied to. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Came to pick up a couple chairs for a bday dinner. This was our first time renting from here. We walked in and was ignored for about 10 minutes. Then this Rude lady (short black hair) comes up and says "hi what do you need?" So we tell her we're here to pick up chairs and then She just walks away. So we were like uh okay? And continue to stand there looking around. Then we look over and she's standing outside of her office waiting for us, annoyingly telling us to come over. As if we were supposed to read her mind to follow her to the office. Then she says "payment", we pay, she hands us a receipt and walks away AGAIN! So then my sister goes back in and says "where do we get the chairs?" She says oh they'll help you in the back. Not sure what the hell is up her ass. Maybe it's because we were brown and not her typical Caucasian family, or maybe she just doesn't know how to treat people. Needless to say, DO NOT go here! I attempted to reserve a bunch of furniture for a large party I was hosting, but ended up waiting too long, and Create-A-Party was pretty much out of everything I wanted. This was clearly my fault for not securing my needs earlier. Then why the four stars? I ended up ordering a hundred of their beautiful colorful dinner plates, as they did have those, and the customer service was friendly beyond belief. These are wonderful people to work with. I picked the plates up on a Friday, and returned them on the following Monday. 65 cents apiece, half what another place was charging for similar plates. I bring this up, as their prices are quite fair, and very competitive. What impressed me the most was the sheer size of the operation. Can't Help Fallin' in Love with Create A Party! I have been an event producer/promoter for nearly 40 years and have had previous experiences with Create A Party, all of them positive. When I was met with the task of relocating a major festival, the 17th annual Elvis Festival from Costa Mesa to Historic Main Street in Garden Grove I needed to reinvent the look and feel of the event. We were going from a swap meet environment which had many of the amenities in place to a street festival in which we had to build the festival from ground up. We needed to rent staging, seating, shade, tables etc. to make this event not only fun but a comfortable experience for the attendees. There was no template to follow from previous years because this was a first also for this venue. The owners of the company took the time to meet with us and look at the site, and then came back with a suggested layout that was not only perfect for what we needed but complied with all of the fire marshal requirements as well as allowed us to streamline the process in getting our event permit. They took all of our headaches away so that we could move forward and design the rest of the festival and produce the perfect tribute to the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The crew that came to set up and tear down were exceptional and worked as a team and everything fell into place like clockwork. They showed up when they said they would and allowed us to stay on track with our timeline for setting up the rest of the event. The tear down was seamless and quick, and within a very short time it was as if they were never there returning the venue just as it was before. We had nothing but positive comments from the members of the Garden Grove Downtown Business Association as well as the community who came out to enjoy this event. Our festival was deemed a huge success and Create A Party played a major role in reaping that outcome. If ever I need party rentals/supplies I will come here. I was throwing my lo first birthday party and initially rented all of the tables/chairs/tent from the bounce house company. There was an initial fee and then a cost per day, per item to keep it. Also a cost to put up the tent. I just thought that was normal. I called create-a-party and were super helpful! They dropped everything off 2 days early and let me keep until Monday, set up the tent, recommended certain items, told me I didn't need other items, the staff who came were so so nice- I love it!!! Excellent service! I recently got married and was having my ceremony and reception at The Fullerton Arboretum. They are the main vendor to use to rent all tabled, linens, chairs, lighting etc. & I was blown away with their service. First off, I was getting married in July but did my first quote with them months before. So of course as the wedding came closer, my ideas changed. We went in the week before my wedding and pretty much changed the original quote, which took some time. Jeffery helped us that day and was extremely patient and helpful. We were expecting that day to be extremely hot, so we started ordering last minute umbrellas and he gave us great ideas where's the best to put them and so forth. I changed my table linen from half to full (which I am so happy I did), I highly suggest that. Now to day of my wedding. I had heard reports it was going to rain, but of course didn't think it was actually going to happen. It was a weekend in the middle of July in CA, no way was it going to rain. Well, it did. Not only did it rain there were thunder storms. So since my ceremony & reception were all outside I started to freak. Barbra was still at home when we called, but was more than willing to help us when my sister called.
