We scheduled an event and due to unforeseen weather change had to cancel an event 7days prior . We paid in full were told cant get any money back, they would give us 2 weeks to reschedule otherwise forget the amount you have paid. This is by far one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had. The quoting process was great. Erin was quick to respond with a quote and answered questions promptly. The delivery process is when everything turned into a nightmare. I understand that they are busy and short-staffed and the company wants to prioritize larger deliveries, but this is absolutely horrible customer service. I booked weeks in advance and could have gone elsewhere if they didn't value my business. I would suggest not overbooking if you know you can't handle the volume. It's safe to say I will never use Emmanuel Party Rentals again and will absolutely not recommend them to anyone. If you want to know the details of my nightmare, here it is: Thursday- Erin calls me to let me know that they would be delivering my order sometime today and it could be as late as 6pm-7pm. Well 8pm comes around and no call or delivery. Since it's after hours, I send Erin an e-mail asking for a follow up. She responds that night stating that they ran out of time and will deliver between 10am-3pm Friday and she will call/text me. Friday- it's 3pm and no call, text or delivery. I call Erin and she says that they are running behind again and will be there by 8pm. I check in at 7:45pm and get a reply at 8:27 saying within the hour. It's now 10:30pm and I'm being told tomorrow morning by 8am. Saturday- 8:00am. Still nothing. I text Erin and she advises that she needs to check. That's the last I hear from her. At 9:07am, I get a call from the driver stating he's here but turns out he went to the wrong address?!?! He was 15 minutes away. My party started at 10am so at this point we had already found another solution so I told him not to bother coming. Good riddance! read more

I recently hosted a baby shower at the Disneyland Hotel, and was shocked at the prices I received for pipe & drape from the hotel. I desperately contacted Emmanuel Party Rentals less than 1 week before my event. I was so glad I did! Here's why: 1. The price was 1/10 what the hotel quoted. 2. They were so polite on the phone and easy to work with. 3. My items arrived on time and were set up EXACTLY how I had described. 4. My items were taken down EXACTLY when I wanted. If I could give negative stars I would. I called e party rentals and spoke with a very nice man about renting tables, chairs and linens. I was quoted a certain price which was fairly reasonable so I decided to book with them. The day of the party some men came and dropped off everything and when it was time for pickup I received an invoice that was WELL OVER what I was quoted. They had me call management (which was inconvenient) and I spoke with a VERY rude woman named Erin who said she would not lower the price even though we were told a completely different price upon booking! On top of everything the table cloths were stained! (seriously??? You changed your pricing on us and then bring stained items???) So unprofessional, I will NEVER use this company again. It is unfortunate for them because we have parties ALL of the time and they have lost good business. We will go elsewhere for our rental supplies. SCREW ERIN !! Rating ZERO or NEGATIVE stars. They are super shady. I could write all the details of my bad experience with this company but you may not have the time to read through it all. So let me just use bullet points as to why I would not recommend this company to anyone. 1. Extra undisclosed charges on my card after the event. 2. Very nice during my initial call when I placed the order but extremely rude and continued to interrupt me in a loud voice when I called back about the extra charges. 3. Their stories were not matching up as to who was the manager and had the authority to reverse charges; why the driver allegedly got delayed causing the extra charges; driver's name coincidentally was the same name as man on the phone who kept referring to "his driver"; and their "manager" could not discuss anything with me when I got her on the phone. 4. I never got any return calls they assured me I would get so I was the one that had to continuously call them for follow ups. 5. My calls went unanswered numerous times leading me to believe they were ignoring my number through their caller ID. 6. Reason they gave me for the extra charges was because their business needs to "survive".....sooo they need to charge extra undisclosed fees to their customers?? 7. After about a month of arguments and many unanswered calls, I finally got the guy to say he would credit me back my extra charges. 8. I still had to call to follow up on the credit to my card since it still took them a week to apply credit. 9. Two words to describe the company: NO BUENO So to Emmanuel Party Rentals: Thank you for crediting back the erroneous charges but I should not have had to go through the roller coaster ride to get that done. You know you were in the wrong in the first place and you should never try to "survive" your business by charging extra fees after the event. Shame on you. We looked around at many places to find good quality at a good value and we ended up with Emmanuel; spare yourself some time researching because you really won't find cheaper prices for what they offer. My experience with Emmanuel Party Rentals is that they are not dependable, professional, or trustworthy. 0 stars. I booked the chairs with them in November and offered to pay the amount in full; I was told that I had to come in to sign the contract. Living two hours away, this is something that I continued to organize, although when I tried to contact them to confirm an apt., I would not get prompt responses. EVERY correspondence included the excuse, "Sorry, we've been so busy" (as if I, a paying customer, am not a priority). This is what Erin e-mailed me: "Your final numbers and payment are due 10 days prior to delivery - no cancellations after that point - which is noted on the contract. If you need additional items within the 10 days you can add items as long as we have them available. Normally at the 10 day mark is when we would charge your card for the full amount that way we don't have to charge/credit cards numerous times for one event." So when I e-mail them again, this time 14 days before my event, asking to schedule a time for me to come in, guess what happens? Erin calls me and lets me know that while she was on vacation, THEY RENTED OUT MY CHAIRS. ALL 160 OF THEM. TO SOMEONE ELSE. Not only does she explain to me how this wasn't her fault, and how she "had no control," she further attempts to TALK OVER ME and explain how this situation is MY FAULT. She explained that "if a paying customer comes in, we give them the business." Despite the paper trail that verifies that I've been trying to pay since day 1- and wanted to pay in full from day 1- but was literally told that it's more convenient for them for me to pay 10 days before- I was livid. She continued to explain how she's been working too much, her kids are spending time at the business during the holidays, and continued to be defensive about the situation. Business is business; there are no excuses for a business to screw up like this, let alone blame me, the customer! Did she offer a discount on other chairs? No. I had to ask for it. Did she say sorry? No. And guess what? She also told me "You don't have to come in to sign the contract. Most of my business is done over the phone". What?! Needless to say, my fiance and I are renting from a business that does not blame customers, talk over them, or won't screw us over and give what we reserved to someone else. read more

Love that everytime I called to ask a question about pricing or availability Erin answers the phone. A lot of places will only give u feedback via email or just go to a vm system. When ur shopping around for prices and quality u need answers right away. Their prices really can't be beat. When we arrived to pick up our equipment Mauricio helped us out and was super nice! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! If I could give them zero stars I would. Horrible experience with this company. I rented tables and chairs for my sons 2nd birthday party. Pick up time was 8:30pm. The drivers did not arrive until 10pm! I was out in the cold with my 2 year old son who was already sick. I kept calling Erin (the owner) to see where the drivers were at. She kept giving me the run around saying that her drivers were already there, then said that the gate to get into the park was closed (which the gate closes at 9pm so I don't know how that's possible) , then they ran out of gas, so I had to wait even longer. I was calm the whole time until I asked her if I was going to get reimbursed for a small amount, because they were an 1.5 hours late! Erin then replied that she was going to charge me an additional fee, because her drivers were wasting gas and they had another event they had to be at. Not my problem. She then tried to tell me to move all the tables and chairs closer to the street to make it easier on her drivers. WTF? I ordered 20 tables and 160 chairs! This lady is super shady. She was nice in the beginning then turned into a B*****. I used them for my sons 1st birthday, so thats why I used them again. After this incident I will NEVER rent from them again! Earlier this year, my sister used them for her son's bday party. Seems there is a communication issue between their associates. The guy that works there, I think he's the owner, is super duper nice and is really accommodating. When she called the next day to reserve the items discussed, she spoke to a woman who "upped" the prices and would not honor the rates quoted. I think this lady was his wife. She had no rationality towards the increase in prices and simply would not budge to honor the rate originally quoted. My sister tried to speak to the man but he was "not available." She moved forward with her order. A week before the party, rain was forecasted and she attempted to cancel the jumper and she had spoken to the man who said it will be fine. She called to confirm her order a few days before her event and spoke to the lady and the lady said that a "restocking" fee will be charged for cancelling the jumper. RESTOCKING?! They didnt even take it out of "stock" to begin with! Even though she had a bad experience, I attempted to rent from this place recently. I went to their actual location to look at the items and get some pricing. I met with the same man, very nice, accommodating, and really hospitable. One item in question, he was not sure the pricing and even went to someone else to get a price and came right back. Once I got the prices, I told him I would call him the following day to provide a method of payment to secure the items over the phone. I called and spoke to a woman and she increased the prices of the items. I told her it wasnt fair that I go to their location personally to get a price quote and now she is not honoring the rate. She stated I have nothing in writing and claimed that the man I spoke to was just a driver and he was wrong. She then told me the item I wanted was brand new and she cannot honor the price I was quoted since they didnt even have the price on their log. So I asked her how could the man have quoted me a wrong price if the price was never listed... therefore it's their fault. She said "I dont know what to tell you but Im not honoring the price you were quoted." Maybe this is a way for them to cheat their customers because Im not the first person they had done this to. Bait, Catch and then switch sales scheme? I know my sister and I are just a couple of their "lost customers" and they dont care if they lost our business in the future but I will make sure that others wont experience what we have gone through. read more
