My new found love is yoga so I've been trying out different studios and this is definitely one of my favorites. I've been consistently going here for a few weeks now (because they have an amazing introductory offer) and have thoroughly enjoyed the classes. I've only taken the hot power yoga classes, but have taken it with several different instructors and liked all of them. Each instructor is unique in their approach and the poses they have us go through, but for the most part they are pretty similar and have all been great. They always stick around at the end if you have any questions. I also took a private yoga session here with Caitlyn where I was able to meet with her one on one. I am still very new to yoga and wanted to know if I had the correct form for some of the poses and Caitlyn was really great in helping me through that. They offer other yoga courses too like restorative yoga and hip & back yoga, but I haven't gotten a chance to try those yet. I've had a couple of questions since joining and have reached out to the studio via email and they are always quick to respond! I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place and all the people who work here. Yoga has been my new outlet and this studio has been really good to me. It is open to all bodies, all abilities, all creeds and keeps current on all mandated healthy-space needs. The owner has integrity and acts in accordance with a purposeful mission: to help each client find her/his/their way while teaching the how-to-get-there in an inviting, warming and clean facility that creates space & time to do this and more. I'm not of a dancing background, and my muscles are as inflexible as political discourse these days-- but under the tutelage of Petra, I'm happier, calmer and more connecting with authentic me. Walking into my first class at Create Power Yoga, I was greeted by Caitlin, I appreciated how she showed me around the studio and made me feel so welcome immediately! All the instructors I've been fortunate enough to meet so far are kind and happy to be there, I can tell they're invested in helping everyone grow and improve their practice. It's great that there are so many of them and they all teach a variety of different classes because it makes every class feels new and exciting, while working providing you to work and restore. I frequent All Levels Hot Power the most, and I always leave class feeling accomplished inside and out. I can already feel the benefits of adding Create Power Yoga into my routine just in the 30 day trial! I'd been wanting to find a spot to do hot yoga nearby since I tried it about two years ago while visiting a friend out of stat, but I never got around to it and then the pandemy happened and it wasn't an option for a while. Well, a couple months ago I finally thought about trying to find a place and I came across Create Power Yoga - I found their prices to be the most reasonable for the area and I liked that they require everyone to be fully vaccinated, so I decided to try their unlimited monthly trial pass and I am so happy I did! I now attend classes regularly and I absolutely love it. It is such a welcoming place and the instructors are great! Being a long time runner, I never thought yoga would be "enough of a workout" for me. Boy was I wrong! After a leg injury causing me to abandon running, combined with a stressful personal year, I thought I would give yoga a try. I am so glad I did. The heated power classes are just the type of work out I needed....great for the mind and body. All of the instructors have their own personal style of teaching and they are all wonderful. I started practicing yoga at Create Power Yoga in 2012 (it was Yoga One prior to 2013). They've continued to offer a variety of classes and special events where both beginner and advanced students are welcomed. I'm a big fan of the slow/flow and restorative classes with Ellary. I am a senior and have been going here since 2015. It is amazing how good you feel after class and there is no judging by the instructors or your classmates. Everyone should try at least once. I am totally enjoying the vibe in the room and the instructors. They are very attentive and very helpful. I had a couple of poses giving me trouble and they helped get me there. Also, totally no-judgement zone. You feel comfortable right from the start. Folks are nice too. I let the instructor know that I am hard of hearing and she makes sure to speak up or stand closer to where I am to insure I heard the next move. Love it here. read more

I'm in my third trimester and I've been taking the hips class- highly recommend it for all expecting mothers. Instructors are highly knowledgeable and take the time to correct your poses so that you don't end up getting hurt. They are kind and non-judgmental. I really respect that! read more

I really like this yoga studio! The owners are wonderfully nice and there's always someone who remembers you and says hello. The teachers are fantastic and really interested in creating a good experience for you. The heated studio/hot yoga is perfect for feeling like you are really getting a workout (and it's a great respite from the cold during the winter). It's takes a lot to convince me to go to the gym, but I look forward to coming to this studio to do yoga a few times a week! Also, I would highly recommend this place to someone who is less comfortable with their skill level- there is a great mix of people and the teachers are great about helping (but not pushing too hard), so even I feel comfortable, even though my inverted-something-twisting-pose isn't exactly fitness model worthy. read more

I've practiced in a lot of different studios, and I've rarely found one as warm and welcoming as Create Power Yoga. I took a private small group class with Petra and from beginning to end it was one of the most positive experiences I've had in a new studio. Petra helped us all feel at home immediately, and seamlessly tailored the class for our mix of experience levels and abilities. She gave great hands-on adjustments for those who wanted them and provided helpful alignment notes. It was a solid class from a technical perspective, but also fun and lighthearted. CPY has been a great find for me. I started off on the 30 day trial period that they offer which allowed me the flexibility to experience the different classes and the different teaching styles of the instructors. Recently, we had my daughter's fourth birthday party at Create Power Yoga. To say I'm happy with our decision is an understatement! After weighing our options-- not another party at the Children's Museum-- it just seemed like a no brainer. Petra and her staff went above and beyond to make the special day, well, special! They are kind, friendly and remarkably attentive to not only the needs of the children, but the adults as well. I was able to be a host and interact with my guests without worrying about the little nuances because of Petra's attentiveness. They helped with the set up, and I didn't have to worry about the clean up. This mama was worry free! My little one and all her friends had a wonderful time, and one week later I continue to get compliments on "what a great party" it was! Create Power Yoga is a great yoga studio, especially if you are new to yoga. The heated classes make for a GREAT workout. They leave you feeling detoxed and are a great substitute for anyone looking to switch up their normal gym routine. The pricing packages also make it economical even if you only plan to attend classes occasionally. I started here as a beginner yogi and never felt overwhelmed or in over my head. The teachers and students are all helpful and reassuring. The environment is very friendly and calming. I always leave class with less stress and feeling more relaxed than I came. I heard about this Yoga studio from a friend because they were having their grand opening at their new location in rumford/pawtucket today! So i let another friend know and the three of us took a break from motherhood and enjoyed an awesome heated yoga class... For free! They also offer a $30 intro special for new students for unlimited classes for 30 days! For today only they reduced it to $20! You can't beat that! What a wonderful way to start the new year. The studio is cute and the teachers are so very lovely! One of the owners, Petra has the most fantastic energy!! The highlight of Create Yoga for me is that they opt for no music during class. All you hear are the guidance from the instructors, your breath and silence. I love that! Its so helpful to go within without music blasting in your ears. I am so grateful this wonderful yoga studio has moved to my neighborhood. Oh and they offer kids classes as well as storytime yoga!!! Whoo hoo! I am really excited about that. Had a great time at this studio. We went for a private party, but I wish I'd been in RI longer so I could have taken some normal classes too. Petra gave great instruction, allowing us all to hit our own edge and even learn new techniques. They apparently have a hips/back class--given our experience, I'd definitely recommend trying that.
