I did my research and requested competitive bids from several landscape companies for the work in our backyard. Our lower deck above the river, was built very well, but the wood had rotted and had become unsafe. The original embankment was beginning to erode the hill toward the river, causing our backyard to be unstable. I ultimately chose Creative Concrete, not because of the price quote, but because of the method to be used in fixing all the problems. Secondary, was our interaction with John, the owner. He was friendly and very professional. My husband and I could not be more happy with the work that John and his crew did on our yard. I was laid out because of surgery so I was able to watch their progress every day and I was very impressed. They cut rebar and did not replace it. They used 1/2 inch plywood with 3 inches gravel and 5 inches concrete. All this was sitting on 3, 2 by sixes. There is rotti ng of the cheap plywood. Extremely dangerous lucky no one died. Should have had Two inch styrofoam should have been used but was not. The wall is from out back. He sent laborers who were unqualified. If I could give negative stars I would. This company has no idea what they are doing and definitely not professionals in any area of concrete or landscaping. Just the tip of the mountain of issues - boots prints in our colored stamped concrete, pattern is messed up, used the wrong pattern on our bottom patio by the retaining wall, let concrete dry too long before putting on stamped release so very dark areas in top patio, finger prints in concrete, concrete on our siding and fence. I truly could go on. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

This was one large disappointment! We contracted to have deck and shrubs removed and new colored concrete installed. When deck was removed Hispanic worker gouged large chunk out of our year old patio door and tried to fix it with caulk! Then they came to start step into the house while we were gone after being expressly asked not to. Then they dumped a huge load of dirt at the end of our driveway and into the street and left it there in the rain! And the owner has the nerve to want his money before the workers will clean up the dirt in the street. Job will not be completed by this man! Homeowner beware! read more

Called for an estimate on a patio. The owner said he would come either Thursday or Friday. Those days passed without even a phone call that he couldn't make it. If they don't have the courtesy of calling to reschedule the estimate then I'm sure they can't be counted on to do a patio job. read more

We recently had our driveway and front walk completed by Creative Concrete. The owner was very polite and respectful when providing the estimate for the project. The men he had on his team were professional and worked hard. Unfortunately this company is not licensed and bonded with the city. When we insisted they get a permit to follow the law the owner reluctantly complied. Instead of getting the permit he wanted to start the job, rush it, and get it done. Less than 10 days after completing the job we found a low spot next to the house. We asked the owner to come and fix it. We are now regretting that decision. Instead of filling and leveling the spot he cut a 6 foot irregular "groove" to drain it. The "groove" runs less than a foot from our house and makes the area look terrible. He left huge roots and landscaping in the front of our yard that my husband had to saw apart himself and dispose of. We still have a garbage can full of plants they dug up and left in there. We are still cleaning the side of our house where mud and concrete sprayed onto the siding. Do not go with this company. Do not believe him when he says he doesn't need a permit. Most of the driveway looks fine but the unprofessionalism and incomplete work is not worth the cost. read more
