Chef Dawn responded to my initial inquiry the same day. She answered my basic questions and provided a quote by the following morning. She suggested further refinements to the menu to ensure we satisfied all my guests' varied tastes. Food was delivered and setup in my back yard before we arrived home from the ceremony. Warm dishes were kept on chafing plates and the other items were covered to stay cool. The presentation was beautiful (orchid flowers garnished some of the platters). And the food was devine! I did not know where to turn to begin to create a perfect evening to honor my wife, but I was blessed to discover Hawaiian Luau OC. From my first conversation with Steve, I instantly knew that I made the right choice. It was like talking to a friend from the first word, and I could tell he was fully invested in doing everything possible to make this evening memorable in every way. He even offered to prepare samples of his food and bring them to my home for my approval. Who does that anymore?!? On the day of my wife's celebration, Steve and his staff arrived right on time and set up a wonderful Hawaiian style buffet that was beautifully decorated. Every item of food they provided was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. I have been receiving compliments for two weeks from my guests saying the smoked pork was, "the best I've ever had" and the teriyaki chicken was so tender that it was like, "the filet mignon of chicken." My mother and I discovered Creative Cravings through a ton of great recommendations. My father had just passed away and we were looking for caterers to make his celebration of life special. Melodie and Julianne were so kind and helpful. They held our hands and gave us the support we needed to organize and plan this overwhelming day. After the service, we had passed appetizers followed by a lovely buffet luncheon. It could not have been more beautiful. It was tough choosing from the menu because all of their food sounded wonderful. For appetizers we had the pesto cheese trifle, caprese kabobs, and bacon wrapped dates. They were all incredible. Everyone raved about the bacon wrapped dates. We had the roast beef and cheddar wraps as well as the chicken salad croissants. Both were excellent. We also had the orzo and the spinach salad. There was something for everyone. We had guest from far and wide and people continued to comment on how much they enjoyed the food. Their presentation was beautiful, they came in, set up breakfast, served our team, cleaned up, all done for us! The delivery person was polite and took care of everything. We got the Deluxe Taco Bar which came with plates, utensils, napkins, and chafing dishes. We paid extra to get birria and it was so good--guests kept asking where the food was from. We even had plenty of leftovers to take home. I don't think you should respond with false information and price options. That's not right to do as a business. When a fee for a staffed buffet per person is shown that is what the fee should be.
