However, the classes are filled with many a level of expertise, so whether you've practiced for years or not, there is definitely a place for you. I am taking Kat Abram's classes and she is pretty fantastic. She is open and encouraging, and not at all intimidating. She wants you to be comfortable and her classes are very invigorating; both spiritually and physically. I have only been to 3 classes and I can already feel my body in a different way. It's funny how you can become aware of something, and then suddeny because of this, that thing starts to change. In this case, that thing is my body, and it is wonderful. Aside from all the personal fulfillment, it's also super local and pretty affordable. It's located right where Washington and Lark intersect. The yoga studio is on the second floor and the space is perfect. The room is strewn with persian rugs and there is a constant flow of light leaking in through the tall windows, making the room open and bright. Needless to say, it is a very comfortable environment for stretching, breathing, and meditating. My package cost about $120 for 7 classes; not too bad, if you ask me. It is pretty fantastic to treat yourself to something like yoga at least once a week. There are a variety of teachers and classes and they offering everything from meditation to djembe drumming. My guess is the fact that they staff the facility with mostly untrained senior citizen volunteers who like it toasty. The same volunteers have significant difficulty guiding people to their seats because they seem to be unfamiliar with rows and seat numbers. I don't know how many times some elderly usher stood in front of me, shining their flashlight in my face, confused about where people were supposed to sit. Oh well... Still an unbelievably beautiful place to see (and hear!) a show. Truly, not a bad seat in the house.

5 Star Venue 5 Star Service…read more-2 Stars for Lack of Comfort This was our first visit to the Music Hall. I was having difficulty buying seats online for our event so I ended up calling the ticket office. Whoever helped me was great. She was patient and helpful. Explaining that this was our first visit there, I wanted to ensure we had the best possible seats to enjoy the show as well as have a great overall experience. Based on our conversation I chose lower balcony, front row seats. I recall the agent asking if we had any issues with stairs which was good as there are quite a few stairs to get to the balcony. While we found the view to be great, the seats are horrible. They are extremely skinny and uncomfortable. I saw on the floor that they even use bistro chairs at the ends of some aisles. From the looks of things, the only comfortable seats would be the boxes along the walls as they looked to have chairs that you could move. The front-row balcony is not well suited for anyone over 6' tall as there is not enough leg room to sit with your legs in front of you. By the time the concert ended, my legs were cramping, my butt was sore, and my lower back in knots from trying to sit a bit sideways. Anyone who is slightly overweight will find the seating most uncomfortable. Aside from that, the theater is quite beautiful and the acoustics seemed to work well for our event. The staff is friendly and helpful. Exiting the theater went smoothly and quickly. We will definitely return but will try for box seats to see if they are more comfortable.

There are no mirrors, dress requirements, special shoes or steps to learn. You can move to the music and be as conservative or as wild as you like. You can even dance sitting in a chair. Seriously, no pressure. Jean does a great job facilitating the movements through a great playlist and puts everyone at ease. Movement Insights can be an energizing and relaxing addition to your week. You can even have a group event tailored to your specific needs or work individually with an instructor. I am a frequent flyer to Proctors, so I need to update my old review…read more Proctors is my favorite theatre in the area. I love the location, abundant free parking, plenty of fabulous restaurants within a block or two, easy in and easy out every time. I know if I have tickets to a show at proctors, it's going to be a great evening. I average about 4 shows a year if I can. I love the selection of musicals and plays they host. There is truly nothing like live entertainment. The reason why this is my favorite theatre in the area is the general etiquette of the crowd. Once a show is on, the crowd is quiet, most stay seated until intermission, there are no concessions while the show is going, the ushers do their job to control people coming in and out during the performance. The theatre is gorgeous and you are truly able to enjoy the show in this environment. I really love it here. Service is always amazing as well. Everyone working here is always so friendly and helpful. It's just such a good vibe. Could the seats be more comfy? Yes, but that's literally every theatre. I would love a cup holder too, but that's life. My only grief is that I can't afford more tickets to go to more shows. I love Proctors, and you will too.

The improv actors were funny and creative. The story lines were interesting... even more so because they were based on audience suggestions. Several of the improv artists were strong singers which made certain songs especially entertaining. The second time we went was for the New Year's Eve Family show at 7 pm. We took our 12 year old granddaughter. Good family fun with lots of laughs. Nice job to all. Prices are affordable. The cookies from the snack "bar" were excellent and a nice treat to accompany the show.

I kid you not, our family looks forward to coming to art class every week and drag our feet to leave when it's over. The entire class was about 2-2.5 hours depending on how long you took to add some finishing details and everything was provided from paint, canvas, cups, paintbrushes. You're allowed to bring any sort of drinks and snacks which was a lot of fun. They rotate which paintings they do and post it on the website as well and it's fun to just come and pint even if you're not going to follow the template!
