I requested for them to give me a quote and I also requested another company to give me a quote. they were pretty much very similar in price the request was for doing pavers in my backyard throughout my whole backyard. The gentleman that came out was Yaniv. He measured my backyard gave me a quote came to an agreement. Right before the job he came out and measured again everything was perfect. As a matter fact he said that the measurements he was getting there was going to be leftovers and so we were OK with that since we had all agreed on a price. The day of the job the installers came and I guess it is customary to remeasured. the installer said that the measuring was wrong there was like about 500 feet not allowed for. Got on the phone with Yaniv and he came out and he said it was a mistake that he had made a mistake even though he had messured three times and I always stress to him I wanted my whole backyard done. So he said he could only do the pavers the amount of square footage that he had quoted and if we wanted the rest of the backyard which was initially discussed and agreed upon now we need to pay an additional $5000 at this point we had already given him the deposit and the workers had started the demolition. we could not come to an agreement. He absolutely was not willing to make it right or come to any terms whatsoever he just kept saying was it was a messuring mistake but he didn't do any thing to remedy the mistake we were the ones that ended up losing part of my backyard was never done and he charge me the amount that we initially agreed on to do the hole backyard but were we went wrong is that we didn't do the measurements I don't know about measurements I was relying on his numbers he's the one that does this for a living I assume that he was covering my whole backyard because I told him I want the whole backyard messuring is not my strong, so I left it up to him. he measured the whole backyard and he gave me a quote and everytime he messured he did the hole backyard so never were we under the impression that it would be less. All i am telling u is that if u encounter something like this make sure u write down on the contract very clear that u want ur hole backyard with the right messurements. Because now i can not even take him to court because he new that it was my hole backyard but he wrote down feet that he messured And now he knows a judge would stick to that! He under messured so he can get the job is what i feel he did and then left us hanging. I kept my end of the bargain by paying on time and all but he did us very wrong. Be aware they quote u a lesser amount so that they can get ur business and word it a particular way that they know if they go to court they will win. PLEASE BE INFORMED SO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU! Shady company! Very bad business practice. read more

Our job was a disappointment. Every step of the way. On top of the normal delays and surprise overages, which we expected, this company barely supervised the job, used very cheap materials, and employed some of the most incompetent workers I have ever seen. While they are nice about fixing things, they do almost NOTHING right the first time. Which means you have a full-time job managing the project even though you hired someone to do it. They have almost no ability to see ahead and be prepared for the next step of the project. Even though I have many examples of their incompetence, I will just share one. Their "Door specialist" almost installed a six-foot, $3K, sliding door backwards. Once again, I had to step in to prevent the error. THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE FOR THE LOWEND WORK THEY DO. Sears came out to service our Refrigerator, the Technician showed me where the water line for the ice maker/water dispenser comes through the wall, (not sealed hole leading under house and through the drywall/ adapter plate won't even fit on to the housing) this was a new wall done by creative. I have never done a renovation before and decided to start with my master bathroom. I chose Creative Home Remodeling Group online after reading reviews and comparing to other companies. I submitted a request for a quote and someone called back immediately and made an appointment with me. Ben was the project manager that came to my home to look at my project and give his suggestions regarding possibilities for the room. He was cordial, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He submitted his written proposal in a timely fashion and I quickly made the decision to proceed with this company. What impressed me most about Ben is his attention to detail and his communication skills. He called me almost everyday of the remodel and was onsite all the time. His team of skilled workers were awesome and I was very happy with their work. We had a slight delay with the timeline as we failed the first inspection. It had nothing to do with the work, but rather an old school inspector that was unnecessarily over diligent. So the problems continue and I think we're now approaching month 5 of a 5 week job. - shower pan was redone three times due to: drain not the lowest point, wrong color grout - vanity countertop installed crooked - wall tiles uneven - fixtures installed incorrectly, some scratched Here's the thing: instead of hiring great labor to get the job done right the first time, they get cheap labor and then keep redoing things over and over. It's frustrating for me and it must also be frustrating for them. Max is telling me "I'm not making money on this job, I have to spend so much time fixing things!" but it's hard for me to have sympathy for the company. We needed to add a pitched roof to our atrium and convert it into a sunroom with two solar-powered skylights. Frankly, before we found Yaniv, we almost gave up on the project as two other contractors came either with an insanely pricy estimate or commit to it but disappeared all of a sudden. I was quite lucky to find Yaniv who did the project for me on time and within my budget. He gave me a good estimate the same day, followed up with me the second day for details and started working the day after. Yaniv was very patient, and accommodative to all the details that I wanted and even a couple of changes/extras I asked after the project had started, and never intended to raise price. All his workers (framers, roofers, installers) are friendly, professional and very detail oriented. It has been 8am-6pm working non-stop for three days. Work was beautifully done, even better than what I had imagined. We have done lots of home improvement projects in the last few years. Prior to starting the project, we consulted with Barry, who put our vision to paper and mapped-out the layout of the kitchen. He and Roy had many excellent suggestions, allowing us to open the space. Creating an open-concept kitchen entailed removing a fireplace and hallway, which were major structural concerns. However, Wilbur and his construction team expertly removed these obstructions and installed a large load-bearing beam to support the roof structure. Because we needed to maximize storage space in our small kitchen, design of the cabinet layout was especially complex. Barry was able to create space for the dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, bar refrigerator, ample storage, and a small pull-out pantry. We replaced three windows with casement windows, bringing in more light and giving a modern feel when viewed from the street. One window needed to be resized prior to installation, and Wilbur made it so. Window installation did not damage the existing stucco, and only took a few hours. The most trying part of the process was when we discovered toxic black mold in the walls during demolition. Roy and his team consulted with experts to remove the mold, clean the surfaces/air, and repair the damaged portion of the kitchen. While this was a large added expense, we gained peace-of-mind knowing the toxic mold was properly removed. Everything was done to code, certified, and we were given documentation of such. Roy, Wilbur, Barry, and the rest of the team are professional and patient. While a significant amount of work was not initially written into contract, they delivered on all verbal agreements. However, when budgeting for your project, expect to pay extra for flooring material and moulding, windows, appliances, window coverings, furniture, cabinet hardware, etc. This is standard. We thank Creative Home Remodeling for creating our vision. It is doubtful that anything will go awry, but we appreciate the 5-year warranty. It is said that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and now we have an industrial-modern space to make that a reality. UPDATING MY REVIEW BELOW: After David saw this, he found my email from February 1 and responded. We had a phone conversation yesterday. I asked him why, after months of silence, it took this Yelp review to get a response. Also, while he said what I wrote here isn't true, I had documented everything that transpired (or didn't) and sent him the 8-page document that clearly details what I wrote here and more. He says he will review, discuss with the architect, and circle back with me. He says he wants to make every client happy. So, we wait...and that's where we are. UPDATE #2: We were scheduled to talk today Feb. 9 at 5 pm...at his request. We waited. He never called. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We had high hopes when first meeting David. All we were wanting was to take an existing two-car garage, rebuild it in the exact same footprint and add a second story ADU. Unfortunately, he hasn't delivered on any of his promises. David hasn't managed much of anything on this project. It started when he gave us a song and dance about how he doesn't mark up like others...and then he tried to bill us twice what we agreed to and what the invoice actually was for the survey. I should have known this wasn't a professional organization given how they scheduled meetings last minute and had such poor communications. It really got bad when he and his architect came out and we discussed what we had wanted, then came back with a primitive sketch that was the opposite of everything we talked about. David agreed and blamed his architect for "not getting the vision" - saying he'd keep at it until we were satisfied with the drawings so we proceeded in good faith, only to have the next drawings completely missing square footage and even the correct angle of the existing structure. My brother who is in construction had to join our call to explain the error...and it wasn't a tiny one. The architect Craig and David both conceded and said they'd fix it. We then thought we were again on the path and that we all were on the same page, agreeing on what we envisioned, but his architect came back on the second try, still ignoring what we had said and the measurements were off. On the third try, they still didn't get it right (and by this I mean nothing fancy ... just simple dimensions), so my husband an engineer had to step in and take measurements accurately and he and my brother ended up submitting the drawings. Only then was it like "oh...got it..."?!! Meanwhile, David didn't communicate or project manage at all. Nothing. He just disappeared. We paid $6k...plus an additional $2800 for the survey...all for what...we have no idea since we have nothing. We did the measuring, caught errors that were pretty significant...and we have nothing to show for it...not even the courtesy of communication. When I emailed and asked about their communication (or lack thereof) and asked if this is how long it normally takes and the process clients go through, David said it was because of our changes...what...? It wasn't changes; rather, it was inaccuracies in actual dimensions and square footage and ignoring what we repeatedly had discussed. We last communicated around Thanksgiving and haven't heard from them since. We figured it was the holidays and surely they'd circle back with us in January. We waited the entire month. When February started, we emailed them to end our engagement and get what has been paid for...and still nothing. Our faith in this company is no longer. Their basic promises haven't been delivered, nor has anything in the contract. We've never worked with anyone like this who has broken his word and his contractual obligations and hasn't even had the integrity to follow through on responding to messages. They matched the existing style of our home very well. Second was the biggest project, an addition of two bedrooms and a bathroom. Again a perfect tie in to our main house. After almost a year without a shower door, we finally resolve this nightmare of an experience in Arbitration. The owner had to pay me every cent of what the California State Contractors Board expert said would cost to fix the damage that was done and wasn't done by this company. To begin with, we come across this company in the builders booklet we got in the mail. What a regret. We call the company and they send this MEAT HEAD of a person who is UNlicensed, by the way, to do a licensed person job. That was their first mistake and that was COMPLETELY WRONG of them, they should have NEVER sent a phony to my house. This arrogant jerk pretended to be the owner and had a high and mighty attitude and supposedly he did "high end" jobs so we let that go as long as he created a nice bathroom. 2nd thing, because he isn't licensed or is this what his specialty is, clearly, the shower is ridiculously large. It's SO STUPID. it makes NO sense. and the only thing he was good at was cashing checks. He wanted little to nothing to do with what was going on as far as construction or the way it was looking because he only cared to get his money. He had an incompetent (also unlisenced) builder (Marcelo) with home depot men work the bathroom and it is full of faults and he (Shy) couldn't accept his mistake when it came down to the pebble that was chosen for the floor and that also caused an issue. When i asked about the wrong pebble that was installed, he said "that's what i chose" and he wanted that to be final. Luckily i had proof along with builder that proved that he picked up the wrong boxes and proved that in arbitration with blown up screen shots of conversation. They DID NOT make an exit for the bathroom fan! Do you know where the steam from the shower goes into? THE ATTIC! i could have gotten mold! and no shower door, for almost a year because it took this long to fight it in arbitration. $10,000 worth of bad workmanship and missing work. Shy (Sebastian) Moshe, the phony "contractor" said he was going to rent a porta-potty for the guys, and a trash bin, and none of that happened. The guys ended up pissing in my bushes and a pile of trash sitting in my driveway. He just lied to be able to charge what he did. Every littlee thing that came up, he didn't want to do or fix because everything (according to him) was going to cost THOUSANDS of dollars! He took our bathroom window out thinking he knew what he was doing. Then he realized the window he had chosen look STUPID and he just took it out because he wasn't willing to spend an extra hundred dollars (maybe) to get a nicer window and he just patched the wall and now we have no window. This d*ckhead did what HE wanted. He was pushy and manipulating, but he didn't know what he's doing nor did he care that he's messing up people homes and ripping them off. He's a bad person and he deserves whatever bad things come to him for being shady. NEVER met David, the owner of the licence until the day of arb. He had tried communicating months after the abandonment but i had no interest in continuing to do business with him. Called Contractors board instead and i am so glad I did. He tried lying in arbitration but the expert wasn't no idiot and caught him in lies. NEVER BE afraid or timid to ask for proof of licencing! it will save you SO MUCH time and headache. When people are too money hungry, to where they're lying their way into a contract, just dismiss them. And don't worry about being nice. They're trying to take advantage of you and you are responsible for not letting them con you. BE CAREFUL with "5 star reviews", they can be family or friends doing them the favor of rating them. This was a ridiculously unpleasant experience, ALL BECAUSE David, the owner hired his friend (probably) to come make him some money. What professional would let just anybody represent their licence as theirs? They had to be friends and this was a shady situation on Sebastian's part to collect and not take care of customers. For the sake of his friends business, he coulda taken better care of it. But David was in on it too by simply sending unlicenced people to give estimates. So i don't feel bad or think he is a "victim" because he allowed this to even happen in the 1st place. read more

Creative remodeled a guest house bathroom for us, and we love it! We received several estimates before settling on Maxim and the Creative team. His bid was competitive, and we liked his laid back vibe (remodeling is stressful, a calm and collected contractor is a MUST). The entire process from start to finish was smooth. We are the type of homeowners who only reach out if there are issues, so we only saw Maxim at the initial meeting and he handled it from there. At one point he called just to see if everything was ok because he hadn't heard from us in a while (there was no reason to, as everything progressed beautifully). For the most part, Maxim deferred to us and we wanted, only providing guidance when we asked or if there was something that needed to be changed (e.g., there was some weird existing plumbing from a spa tub we took out that couldn't be moved, so he suggested a shower bench to cover it, and the end result was spectacular). On time, on budget, beautiful result... who could ask for anything more. Minor critiques - the light switch has 4 switches and only two purposes, and the old light dirty switch was left in (I cleaned it). I only work with companies that value my time, build trust from the start and keep to their word. I will admit up front that I did not meet David, the owner but it was not because I did not try. I was cold called about their offering of construction services by Randy who was cordial. I happened to be in the market for some services so I was open to hearing about their service. Randy took my number and set up an appointment. The whole thing went downhill when Candy, Randy's assistant entered the picture. She moved the appointment the day before which was one thing but then 30 minutes prior to David's scheduled arrival, she left 2 voicemails and seems in a bit of a panic. Once I spoke with Candy, it became clear that David would not be arriving on time because she said, "before I can send David to you, I need more information". Strike 1: I was ready for the appointment, had cleaned my house specially for David's visit and made special arrangements for my dogs. So Strike one, they clearly didn't value my time. Strike 2: After already having answered a battery of questions from both Randy and Candy over the prior few days, Candy started in on the phone 20 minutes before David was to arrive with questions about how soon my project would begin and who owned my house. So strike 2: If David had asked me those questions upon his on-time arrival, I would have gladly answered but the way Candy approached it, I felt she was pre-screening me as if David might decide at the last minute that I was not worth his time. Strike 2 was not trusting that I was worth the effort. Strike 3: If you don't have a contractor show up in order to win your business, don't complain if you hire them and they don't show up to service your business. David, you missed out on not only my home remodel but remodel work for my HOA and potentially my investment properties. Dumb move. Randy, I hope you demand your commission from the cold call. I just had my bathroom remodeled with Creative Home Remodelig . I got several estimates from different companies, and I chose creative Home Remodeling. David, the owner, showed up on time to our meeting and was very good with explaining the details, and process of the work. He didn't pressure us to sign on the spot (happened with 2 other estimates), and I really appreciated that and felt comfortable with him. When we started the project, the crew covered the working area, minimizing the mess around other part of the house. The project ran very smoothly, and David was on top of it, leaving me very comfortable with the process. We had been considering remodeling our small, outdated (U-G-L-Y) kitchen and guest bath for a few years now. But we just weren't sure what we wanted or who to turn to. After having saved what some would consider a small amount of money, we decided to see how far our budget would stretch for the kitchen. Not knowing where to start the search for a reptuable contractor, Home Improvement magazine provided several vendors to consider and Creative home was one, so I did my research. What really swayed me was their ratings--I've never seen customer satsifaction ratings so high for ANY business. I called for a quote and they were right in the middle of two other vendors I was considering. It was because of our rep, Roy, that we decided to go with Creative. We're so glad we did! Not only did we get the kitchen done within our budget, but we were able to afford the small guest bathroom as well. AND they both look high-end because they ARE high-end! We got finishes, fixtures, and features we never imaged we could afford. AND they remodeled BOTH the kitchen and bath all within 3 weeks JUST DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS! I cannot say enough about the staff and the quality workmanship. Roy guided the project, Candy kept us informed, and David was on site to make sure everything was going as planned. The workers cleaned-up well after each day and, with the exception of all the dust that just can't be helped, you would never know they had been there. The crew was hard working and trust worthy if we had to leave the house for a Home Depot run. You can't say that about everybody. To say that we are delighted is an understatement. We are AMAZED. And, ladies get this: even my husband will sometimes just stand and look at the kitchen and say how beautiful it is. And, he'll tell me he's really glad I insisted we do the bathroom. (That really makes all the begging and pleading to get it done at the same time worthwhile!) If you're considering working with creative home remodeling Inc., I have three words for you: JUST DO IT! "We are very happy with our new kitchen / laundry remodel and the overall value and quality of construction." As the designer and architect, my standards and expectations were very high, and at times during the 6-1/2 week extensive remodel (which included added time for related building /demo permits and inspections), I was not sure if CH would be able to execute my very high standards - but they did and we really love our kitchen! Pros: 1. Quality and care of work. 2. Good value for the money. 3. Installed the finishes and appliances of our choice. NOTE: per CH contract these are purchased and provided at owners additional expense. For budget purposes these typically include: flooring, backsplash, cabinet pulls, decorative pendant light fixtures, dimmer switches, faucet, garbage disposal, and all appliances. Make sure you plan accordingly and understand this in advanced as some other contractors do include these items - but they are typically not of high quality or not what you may have chosen yourself. 4. Roy, our PM, was extremely helpful and patient. We interviewed multiple other contractors before deciding, and Roy was the main reason we decided to work with CH. In fact, Roy even said he would personally come back to help install our child latch magnets! 5. Wilbur, the main contractor on site, was amazing, very friendly and precise. We highly recommend! Cons: 1. During negotiations it was not always possible to get CH to formalize some of our specific requests into the contract or into final construction drawings. We had multiple meetings resulting in "verbal approvals" and "trust" from both Roy and David (the owner). Although items were completed to our expectations in the end, as an architect in the industry - not having items in writing or in the drawings left me out of my comfort zone and made the process more stressful. 2. We did have a few additional invoice charges above the base agreement. I felt some of the more obvious items could have been included in the base price including: electrical GFI outlets and switches required on all permitted projects by code. These standard items are visually obvious in advance, and not usually related to other "additional items" that can sometimes only be revealed during demolition or after starting work. (For example we understood the need to pay extra to re-wire and upgrade our circuit panel and change out a leaking pipe). -- Overall the pros definitely outweighed the few cons and we are very happy with the outcome. BEWARE! We had a kitchen and bathroom remodeled and were very disappointed with the pennie pinching from this company. Approximately 4 months after our final check was paid (near 50,000 dollars) and cashed creative homes is now asking for another 500 dollars for "unpaid" money to one of their subcontractors. We hired Creative Home and feel that they should fully be responsible for paying their employees not us. Many problems with no resolutions. Even had the owner David call and promised to solve the many issues and still no sign of creative home. BEWARE! read more

Let me start off by saying that I did not end up doing work with Creative Home Remodeling. I found them on Houzz, I believe, and Candy called within the hour. Unfortunately, I had to get back to work and couldn't answer anymore and she called multiple times. I had let her know from the beginning that this would be going through insurance and that I needed someone who knows how to do insurance estimates. She said they work with insurance companies all the time! I said that was great and set up an appointment. David came by and was pretty friendly we finally sat down to talk numbers and he let me know what it should come out to be. I let him know again about insurance and when I told him there was already a check he kept saying that they would not write another check. I asked him if he could write one anyway as I liked their work and I would be sending it anyway. I know how insurance works, there are things called supplements that insurance companies have to pay as long as there is proof that something needs to be done or if contractor rates are different than what they have on their estimate. I work with insurance companies ALL DAY. He was adamant that they would not pay. I let him know that all they needed was an itemized estimate so that I could send it. Once itemized they can't deny too much. Again, I work with insurance companies all day so I know how it works. He said he would get it to me in about 3 days. I didn't hear from him and so on the 4th day (Thursday), I text Candy and she said he would send it the next day. Nothing. Saturday came and I asked her again. No response from her. Monday, text her again and now she says he's out of the country. During a pandemic? yeah, right. So I decided to give him a call on Tuesday with a different number - just in case. Guess who answers?! Said he will have it to me on Wednesday. Still nothing. Then a text from Candy saying she had the estimate. It was sent to me and it was just a generic quote nothing itemized. I'm assuming he just wrote it out quickly and said "here just send that". It was a joke. If you don't want to do it, be straightforward! Don't waste people's time. What bothered me the most is that these are the same people that called me like 20 times to set something up for them to just try to ghost me. Should've listened to all the bad reviews. They get 2 stars only because Candy was very nice. read more

After one estimate only I decided to remodel my kitchen and dining room with creative home remodeling group. They have a excellent system , from the day I approved for them the sketch and Cabint door design to demolish my kitchen all the way to finish job we had three intensive weeks and the all project was done completely.I was very impressed and I can tell the have experience . My wife and I had a new kitchen addition and the drive way done by David with Creative Home Remodeling. The job was completed in 3 months. The workmanship service with the Office Manager Candi and quality was outstanding. David was on top of his job. We choose the color we liked and Design we liked and saw the 3D sketch design on the computer. The Permits and Inspections were going taking care by David with no worries for us. Our 30-year-old kitchen and bathroom was crying for help to be taken out of the 80s. We desperately needed to make renovation not only to our kitchen and bathroom, but to our backyard and the outside of our house. Working with Creative Home Remodeling has been an exceptional experience from the moment of signing to making the last payment. Max, our project manager, has been so attentive to all our needs and has always responded promptly. Noam, the head contractor, was so knowledgeable and truly knows his craft. He answered our questions thoroughly and gave us suggestions when they found some problems behind the walls. All the workers who came were trustworthy and so diligent with their work. They even took the time to help me pick out colors and make design decisions as they were working. They were meticulous with their work because they took pride in the finished product. The most impressive part was they finished within the week of Max's deadline. Everyone came in like clock-work pushing to make sure we were back in our kitchen as soon as possible. The cost of all my projects was reasonable considering how much they went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the job. But if this is your first time having professionals do your renovations, be sure to account for the cost of the extras--appliances, faucets, handles, etc. And if you're doing a kitchen, account for the cost of eating out. Other than that, we are so happy with our renovations. I highly recommend them if you needed some hand-holding during a big project on your house.
