I started the process wanting carrera marble, but after going to the stone yard, Mona noticed that I was being repeatedly drawn to a quartzite (fantasy brown). I didn't even notice it until Mona pointed it out! So after I jumped into the bold (fantasy brown) and left the classic humdrum (carrera) behind, enter John and his team of installers. While templating, John even gave me suggestions on my choice of brackets for the floating counter. During the install day, the crew was friendly, professional, and quick! Ran into a problem: they didn't have any remnants in that color, and I'd have to purchase a whole slab just to match a little section. Mona came to the rescue! She offered me a remnant of a different color that she promised matches really really closely the original color. And since the new section was to be installed across from the old one (not contiguous), it would be very hard to tell. Sure enough, it worked out perfectly and Mona saved me a lot of money by finding a creative solution. Just like last time, I was doing this long distance without seeing anything in person. With contractors there is always drama or miscommunications, especially if you are not there to supervise. Not with Mona.
