My son attended this daycare for three years, and I am deeply disappointed by how things unfolded toward the end. I trusted this place with my child, and what we experienced was extremely hurtful and unacceptable. Over time, I witnessed behavior from certain staff members that made me seriously concerned about the environment and how children were being treated. My son experienced inappropriate and hurtful comments about his skin color, and instead of addressing the situation, the blame was shifted onto him. He was also being bullied, and nothing was handled properly. On top of that, I also noticed a serious lack of confidentiality. Personal information about families and their situations was openly discussed among staff and even shared with other parents, which is completely unprofessional and unsafe. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this daycare. Families deserve a place that is safe, respectful, and supportive, and unfortunately this daycare did not provide that for my child. I strongly hope changes are made so no other child or parent has to go through what we did. read more

This Daycare has had multiple instances where children have been harmed and were racism has been accepted and allowed. My son went to this daycare for 2 years and once I learned of bad things happening, we left. I am happy to say that I was able to get my child back in this daycare. I live right on the cusp in Austin versus Manor and it's so much easier to drive away from the city when you are trying to drop your child off in morning traffic. Lucky for me their prices had decreased a little since the last time not due to age. I've always liked the staff. I was was taking him to Extendacare off Cameron Road / 183. Although I loved his daycare teachers in the classroom unfortunately there was only one other child remotely close to his age so he never got to really have a classroom full of other kids his age. I also want a daycare payments for the entire month on the first of the month and I only get paid my child support Weekly through out the current month... that's really difficult to know that your rent and your child's daycare is due on the first of the month. And then they didn't even provide meals! I also had to deal with all horrible morning traffic at Cameron Road/183. I had to deal with parent traffic like a regular school. Also because I had to walk quite a ways from my car to the front door if it was raining outside I would not be covered. i still wait for someone to open the door to the day care vs a code I could press to get in. It Just became a huge inconvenience taking him to Extendacare. Then they required a 30 day written notice before pulling him out of daycare! As you can see I'm very happy to see him back to Creative World Learning Center that is nothing like the old daycare and that functions like a "regular" daycare. read more

My child attended this daycare back on May 2023 when my child was about 20 months old. I liked that the daycare looked nice and clean and the teachers seemed nice but I regretted right away. The first or 2nd day I picked him up from daycare he had several scratches on his face and one that went so deep that it left a scar in his face. For my child to get scratched that many times I feel like the teachers were not watching the kids or too busy to separate them right away. Another issue was he was always being placed in other rooms besides his home room. In the mornings the kids had to go to one room then the teachers would take them to their primary rooms. Almost every other day I would get the run around saying he should go in another room with the bigger kids that were 2-3 years old or that he would be in his age group. His bag was always in different rooms and his stuff was always missing. its a lot for a small child to attend daycare but then to be moving around so much is worst. 4 times I picked him up with a very wet or pooped diaper. he would also be thirsty as if they would not let him drink something at the end of the day. All this happened within 3 weeks. I had to pay an enrollment fee of $100 then the tuition fee but after the first week I explained to the director that I wasn't happy and wanted to withdraw him. Since I had already paid in advance with the fee I forcefully kept him in there but my child would be terrified to stay there. He is in another smaller daycare right now and couldn't be happier. Please consider what is best for your child. read more

Manor Texas facility I will start by saying. Fix the camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What good does it do to have a camera up in the office if the parents can't view it clearly??? My next concern is when i was viewing the fuzz on the camera one of the girls left the office and went to the classroom for what im assuming to warn the worker that I was monitoring. Next, I witnessed children reaching through the iron gate in the front and putting grass in the utility hole. The children were removing the utilitly cover from the hole and stuffing items in it. I had to say something to the child "no baby. I don't want you to hurt yourself'''' before the worker came and covered the area with a childs scooter. Lots of hitting (children will be children) but lots of hitting with workers not noticing. I sat in my car for nearly 40 mnutes and observed!! read more

So grateful for all of the loving staff at CWLC. my daughter was enrolled since she was 2 months old, and although I was nervous to have her at a daycare so little, this is the best daycare I could've ever chosen for her. Everyone was so attentive to her needs, and called me anytime she was not feeling well. She learned so much in her near 2 years of being there, and I'm always told that she is very smart! In the toddler classroom, she would always come home counting, singing songs, or talking and saying new words. We had to change daycares now since we moved, but I seriously wish she could've stayed here longer. This is a brand new Center, and we enrolled our (then 3) year old last year. At first, everything was fantastic. The teachers were attentive, caring, and knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, they grew very rapidly and were not able to staff enough teachers/caregivers to meet the needs of all of the new children they were enrolling. Most of my neighbors also used to use this Center as well. At least until we started getting random calls in the afternoon demanding we pick our children up. They have, on numerous occasions, claimed our children were "overly rambunctious" or were "running around" and would demand us to pick up the children for the rest of the day. This caused myself and my neighbors to leave work early to pick up our children. Upon further inspection, we were able to determine that the Center was understaffed on these particular days. It is quite easy to determine this when you are called to pick up your child, and there are 4 other kids in the office with the Director because the classrooms are full. Staff turnover was immense. I showed up unannounced several times to see caregivers being very rude and mean to the kids. One "Teacher" in particular was also very grumpy to the point where she would never smile at anyone....ever. If one is that unhappy in ones career, one should look for a new line of work. Further, when speaking with many of the caregivers at this Center, their behavior is such that I wonder if they have had any training in how to deal with young minds at all. There were a few bright Teachers, however the dim bulbs took away most of that shine. read more

I wanted something close to home! With my motherly instincts screaming NO to the idea of putting my child in daycare, I ignored them & followed everyone's advise. I thought I was just being an over protective new mom but the daycare proved me right very quickly. Two days ago I picked up my child & she had scratches all over her face. When I asked the teacher what happened? (Kept my cool I promise). She said another child attacked my child. I asked her how many kids were in the room & what she was doing? She said she was changing a diaper & there were 9 kids. (I wanted to hit somebody). What's worse is that nobody told me my child was attacked. I discovered it myself. I felt there was probably more that was happening that I didn't know because every day I picked up my child she was thirsty & hungry like she was starved. FYI, my baby is 16 months old. I would ask and provide snacks & juice but nothing was improving. She got sick from the first week ( granted it's expected) but I question the ability of the teachers to maintain hygiene on nine toddlers. She used to look sad & lethargic every time I picked her up. Every day I struggled with the idea of dropping her off but told myself it's the new mom craziness. Now I know. Never ignoring my instincts again. Basically, think hard before enrolling your child in this school especially if they can't tell you what happened. read more

I have had the best experience with this daycare! The staff is warm, friendly and competent. My 2 year old loves going and gets excited over the idea of going! The facility is always spotless. The owners are also pretty awesome. Definitely has a small town close knit feel to it! read more

As an update to the owner's comments, 1) To say that a name is unique to explain why teachers cannot spell it even though we have spelled it correctly on enrollment forms, labels, and even corrected it SEVERAL times on the sign in sheet and told teachers that they were spelling it incorrectly, is unacceptable. His name is sprawled across his lunchbox in LARGE letters which he brought every Friday! He has been at three daycares, and somehow yours is the only one with staff that has managed to misspell it, something that they struggled with even though, again, we pointed it out several times. The issue is not the "uniquness" of his name, which is actually a real name that has existed for generations. It's about attention to detail. 2) Posting updates regarding the unauthorized entry of a daycare facility in a local newspaper that not everyone reads/receives, and on a Facebook page that not all parents belong to in hopes that they will all read it, rather than directly communicating with parents via a letter is not the same thing. At all. 3) The code should have also been changed soon after it happened, especially if the suspect had not yet been apprehended and could therefore come back and try to gain entry again. It is not uncommon for centers to change access codes periodically without giving specific reasons. If you wanted to protect the privacy of the investigation, a simple letter letting parents know that the code was changing was all that was needed, without explicitly stating why. 4) To say that we never responded to attempts to meet with us is untrue. My husband tried several times to look for the owner to set up a meeting, both before and after school in the week after he offered, and he was not available. We even asked the various people in the front desk area when he would be available, and they responded that they were not sure. Soon after that we decided to start looking for a new facility and simply decided not to set up a meeting. Also, thank you so much for spelling out my last name in your response to my first review. As a first time working parent, it has been such a touchy subject, who to leave your child with. You read so many stories and truly worry about your precious child being left in care and not being taken care of. I can honestly say, that is not the case with Creative World Learning Center, every single teacher is so warm and loving. The owners and director are really on top of their game. I have not had worry about my son being in their care. We really love the learning environment he is in and that he doesn't cry when we drop him off. Can't say enough good things about this school! I feel like my family and I were so fortunate to have found it. I had toured so many preschools in the Manor/Elgin area before hearing about Creative World Learning Center. The owners Mitchell and Sherry are fantastic and bring such a "community feel" to the school. Since Sherry has taken over the director position she has created a loving, caring and educational environment for staff and children. When I finally toured Creative World I knew immediately that it would be the best for my family. It's clean, peaceful, always smells nice (not like dirty-diapers!), the staff is always smiling and professional, the communication is off the charts! read more

I love CWLC! This is the first daycare I have ever put my children in, so to say I was hesitant at first is an understatement. All of the staff are friendly and caring and make my children feel comfortable. It always smells and looks clean when I go in, which was one of my top priorities. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are included in the tuition so that's a huge plus. The meals are nutritious and my children enjoy them. They even have a bus that picks up from the local schools, which is very convenient for me. A few of the teachers I'd like to point out are Andrea and Destany - my children absolutely adore them! I am happy knowing there are teachers that truly care about my children. Also, the owner Sherry is very understanding and accommodating. I highly recommend CWLC! read more
