I am so glad that we were able to enroll my son here!! What a fantastic experience it has been!! The administration staff is amazing, kind, caring, thoughtful and all about the kids. The teachers are loving and really care about our children! The facilities are inviting and kid focused! They have a gym, a play ground, and lots of classrooms. It is a private school with chapel every day and studies in the Bible. They are giving such a great foundation here. It is so sweet to hear my son sing his church songs in the car just out of the blue... it makes me soooo happy he is here! The best part about this school is that my boy loves coming here! How much better then that could it be?? There is a limited enrollment so you have to be on top of it to get in... we got lucky! But now that we are in... we will stay as long as we can! read more

Let me start off by saying there were a couple teachers that were amazing but unfortunately left while my child was attending. The biggest problem I had was the director with how things were handled. First off, I had my credit card information stolen and someone had made false purchases from my card. This card was only used for bills and the one time I had used it outside of the house was at Immanuels for their pizza Fridays. Director didn't apologize instead tried to shift blame away from herself. Second, there was a kid that scratched my kid's face. This child has many problems and I had addressed concerns, especially since my child now has a permanent scar on her face. Director brushed this concern off and eventually there were other issues from this other child such as hitting and biting. We had to pull our child out because she was being harmed and we did not feel safe placing our trust into this school due to how it is managed. Also another thing was the director had a tendency to talk badly of other schools in the area, and touted they can spend more on the kids because they are tax exempt. Kind of left a sour taste in my mouth, and now that my daughter is going to one of these aforementioned school, she's been making leaps and bounds of progress with no harmful incidents. read more

Makes me so sad to write this review, because when I first enrolled my infant daughter (at the time - 2019) this place was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, so much changed for the worse. The teachers in the infant room had been there for years and were very caring, responsive, and responsible. The director and office staff at the time were also very welcoming, responsive, and dedicated to all the children and families. We felt so at home. Covid came along, and we pulled our child out of ILDS to stay at home with a nanny. During our time gone the director left, and a new director took her place. After Covid slowed down (around Jan 2021), we returned and things seemed to have changed from how we knew the place. There was a lack of structure, management, or compassion coming from the new director and then ultimately to the staff. I understood that staff were not able to take time off and were getting little support and respect from the new director and upper management. A lot of staff ended up leaving, even long-time employees, many of whom were the people whom I identified as the star players in making ILDS so wonderful when we first attended. We witnessed teachers yelling at kids, my child being transferred in and out of different rooms, or watched by different teachers with no consistency (especially at a pre-toddler age when it's so important). The director claimed that she was an expert in potty training and that my child was ready, but ultimately she or other staff weren't there to assist with helping her with the toilet. My child constantly came home with bite marks from other kids. There was a case of hand-foot-mouth going around, and when asking the director/management what precautions they were taking (also this was post-Covid keep in mind), nobody responded after several attempts. This was only one of several cases where my family felt unheard or taken care of. We ultimately decided to leave. We heard later that the director had unfortunately passed away and was replaced by a staff member whom I knew as the mother to one of the kids attending there who was my daughter's age (ironically the kid that bit my child several times). I don't know currently how well ILDS is doing. I hope the board recognizes what potential ILDS has assisted in rebuilding the place back to its former integrity. read more

My son is currently in this 3rd classroom at this school and is doing amazing. He started here at 5 months old and is just over a year right now. I have to say, this place is just great. I have always felt that my son was being well taken care of and loved. I can't even begin to number the amount of staff that know my son's name, say hello and goodbye to us on a daily basis. Many of them give him hugs and engage with him. He just is always smiling when these ladies say hi. It really gives you a family feeling that I think that is incredibly important for parents (especially first time ones). I think a couple of the bad reviews on here aren't entirely fair. I had my child in the same classes and only saw great child care services. I work right next door and would drop in for lunch all the time. I never once saw anything that was questionable. If anything, some of these ladies are breaking their backs to make these kids happy and engaged. Which is something that is VERY HARD to do with a class of infants. I think a lot of issues can be remedied by communication, and this school is very good at that. You definitely need to state exactly what you want and when you want certain things given to your child. If you aren't clear, they will default to their schedule. Every thing I have ever asked for has been done or tried to be done. They don't want your baby screaming all day just as much as you don't. I will agree, going from one class to the next can be difficult. There are a lot of changes that both you and your child need to roll with. Naps change, feed times change, and even how they sleep changes. This seems standard in most facilities as most of my mom friends have the same transitions for their babies. They might make you have this change sooner than you think you want to, but believe me, it's worth it for them to get the babies more independent. I have seen such a change in my son when he masters these new changes. Bear with them, they will get your child where they need to go, believe me. All in all if you are looking for a great place for your child, specifically a place that actually cares and loves your child, this place is it. Even if I don't work in Pflugerville forever, I will drive him in here. read more

My wife and I relocated to the area in January and knew it would be difficult to find care in the middle of the school year. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they had immediate availability for our preschooler and infant when the other schools in the area all had at least a few months wait list. What we've personally observed since enrolling are teachers yelling and belittling the children under their care, teachers on their cell phones sitting in the back of the room ignoring the children, and a leadership team that is absolutely clueless as to what is actually taking place in the classrooms. There are a few teachers present that seem to really care for the children and work hard to make it the best environment possible, but they are greatly outnumbered by staff that are either incompetent, under trained, checked out, or are otherwise a hazard to the children in their care. read more

Worked here for 7 months. The teachers are all fantastic, love being involved with the kids, and will do their best for all children in all developmental stages. The big negative is how the director handles situations and treats some employees/parents. Like any daycare, you run into kids being injured. Every daycare has rules and regulations they stand by due to licensing, this director though does not always follow them. When a parent and/or teacher were concerned that a child was displaying too much physical harm to other children, the director would discard their concerns and almost ignore them completely. To the parents, she would make them feel as if this aggressive behavior and incidents were completely normal and okay. Even after asking her to talk with said children's parents about behavioral therapy, she would ignore their concerns. She is very bubbly and excited naturally when trying to show a welcoming front to parents coming in or when she is in a great mood. But she can be very passive aggressive and continuous joker to her employees. Even after being told it's not appropriate she continues to do it. She has also been known to talk disrespectfully about her employees behind their backs and act a completely different way in front of them. These situations have all been reported to the board and are up to their discretion on how they handle the situation. Like any daycare you will run into problems and things you don't agree with, but for myself and child, this wasn't a right fit and that's okay. read more

Our child attended the daycare for about 9 months. I hate to be one of the only reviews that gives them one star but I waited almost a year to post this - we had high hopes going into this especially in the newborn to three month room. The teachers in the newborn room are fantastic and organized, they were really attentive. After he was moved to the 4 to 6 month room that is when things went downhill. The Director was very unprofessional and wanted to scold us- the parents as children. The Director refused to move my child to the next level with an age appropriate group, she said it was okay to have a 16 month old with 4-6 month olds, "he would become the leader of the group" - what about my son's education? They say they have a curriculum but not really. They generally don't take children under 18 months out for walks/strolls and are couped up all day. I will say that some of the teachers are caring and do love the children but there were some that were questionable/lazy. One of the teacher's husbands would be in the same room as my son and another kid at the end of the day. Why was he there? Has he been background checked? On another day, a different teacher was staring at my son crying and did not move to console him or anything, just watched. It was until she saw me enter the room she redirected him to a toy. Several times my son was not fed his meals and I couldn't understand why he was so hungry and grumpy until the next day I found his pre-packed meal leftover from the previous day. I feel like we tried, we had a meeting with Director and she insured us that my boy was happy and they love him and she will address all of our concerns. Great- I thought something positive would come out of that. A few weeks later it seemed there was always something going on. As a first time mom I thought I may be over thinking these issues but after talking to other daycare providers and other moms, I had a right to be concerned. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and saddened that this place so easily dismissed us, basically told us to leave and told other teachers to treat us with disdain. In our final meeting with the Director, she told us that if we were not confident in the care provided, we should seek daycare elsewhere. And that's what we did. read more

Our kids go to the day school at Immanuel, and we're really happy with it. Excellent teachers that really care about the kids, great teacher/student ratios, and our kids are really happy there. We'd sent them to some other places in Pville that will remain nameless, and had less than positive experiences, so we're really glad we found Immanuel. If you're looking for a great place to send babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, this is it. read more

I started my kiddo at Immanuel Lutheran for Pre-K! The teachers were fantastic and really helped him be prepared for Kinder. He is still there 5 years later... enrolled in their after school and summer camp programs. He loves it! Immanuel has a great staff, is clean, and i feel my child is safe and in a great environment. Y'all, I can't tell you how amazing ILDS has been. I only wish we had moved to Pflugerville sooner so that my son could have experienced this daycare utopia. My daughter loves it and my son participates in the after care program after he gets out of Kindergarten. The teachers are very loving and really love what they are doing. The directors are GREAT and so NICE!! It is the best daycare we have ever been in and we have experienced a couple. My daughter is learning cute church songs, she counts everything all the time and correctly, she is constantly asking questions about what letter a word starts with because what they are learning makes her curious which spurs MORE LEARNING! We have loved every minute since the first minute we started and are excited about being with ILDS until she goes off to the Big K! read more

We just moved to Pville in the fall, and I stayed at home with them for a few months. However, when I was planning on going back to work in January, we knew we would need to find a good place to put both of our kids. We attended Immanuel Lutheran church a few times and loved the community and then found out they had a day school program as well. We sat up an appointment to meet the staff and allow my kids to feel out the school. Within minutes of walking in, I knew this was the place. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and you can tell they really do care about their job. Our 5 year old son immediately loved the pre k class and didn't want to leave. I liked how they had a routine and the routine was not only centered around academics, but they also incorporated chapel time in too. Our son comes home and tells us about his day over dinner and loves to say the blessing each time. He also is constantly "educating" us about all the cool things he learned in school that day about Jesus. I love how our faith is echoed and reiterated throughout his day, even though we aren't with him to teach him ourselves. Our almost 2 year old daughter loves going to school (even if she does whine when I leave her.) I've doubled back to check on her and she always has stopped crying within seconds of me leaving and she's curled up in one of her teachers lap. I like knowing that my baby is getting just as much loving as she would if she were still at home with me. My husband and I were amazed at how much she "knew" within a few short weeks of beginning school. Bottom line, my kids are happy and loved while we are at work, so we are happy parents! read more

We rescued our 7 month old son from this nightmare daycare today. This is the second time he has come home hoarse from crying, and again his director lied and told us he was perfectly happy. There are usually only 2-3 kids in his class, and 1-2 teachers, yet every time either of us has come by, all the babies are crying and the teachers are ignoring them. None of the kids are developmentally where they should be. We got tired of being told that Sam's depression was normal and he'd stop crying after a few weeks. His sadness lasts long after we bring him home. At lunch yesterday, we visited another daycare that had 8-9 babies and only two teachers in one class, yet all the babies were so happy and playful. Not one of them was crying. The younger babies were following and trying to copy the skills of the older ones. They all waved at our, and by the end of the visit, our son was waving too, for the first time! He didn't scream when he saw his new teachers at the other school; they helped him feel at ease. It was a completely different experience from Immanuel Lutheran. Perhaps other classrooms at Immanuel function better, but please look at your options. It is worth it to pay more and drive farther I hope last night was the last night my kid cries himself to sleep. I'm looking forward to my happy baby being happy again. read more

My two kids attend here in both the early education and after school programs and we absolutely love it. My toddler has started naming her colors, made new friends, and become more social. My after schooler enjoys his weekly God and Me lesson as well as making other friends outside of his elementary school classroom. I highly recommend this program for your child care needs. read more

My child has been with ILDS from the beginning, she is 2 1/2 now and we plan to stay for a while. The staff is great; I have enjoyed each of her teachers and so has she. The teachers and staff are a community; they are all involved with the kids. My kiddo is always greeting teachers she hasn't had and the ones she had from her past classes; she knows their names and runs to give them hugs. My child loves to go to school and gets so excited to see her teacher. The teachers and staff listen to the parents, follow the specific guidelines if any of the children and show them so much love. I'm grateful for the love they all have for the children. I highly recommend this day school for anyone. read more
