We absolutely love The Goddard School of Pflugerville! From our first exploration visit the owners (Mr. Ashok and Ms. Prasanthi) and staff there were extremely kind and patience in answering all of questions/concerns, what ended up entrusting our 6-month old daughter to the school there was seeing all of the smiles and happy faces of the children of each of the classes that we visit since one can say/claim a lot of things, but one can't fabricated positive feelings in children. From the moment we enrolled our child, we felt the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care from the entire team. The owners, teachers, and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and it's so clear that every decision they make is rooted in supporting each child's well-being and developmental growth. One of the things that stands out most is their dedication to nurturing children's natural curiosity. They create an environment where exploration and discovery are not just encouraged--they're celebrated. It's amazing to see how engaged the kids are every day, and as a parent, it's such a relief to know your child is in a place that values their individuality and creativity. We have to give a special shoutout to Ms. Yvette and Ms. Melva in the infant class. These two wonderful teachers are truly a gift. Their love, patience, and attentiveness shine through in everything they do. They're also professional task jugglers and should teach a masterclass on how to attend to multiple babies at the same time. For instance, Ms. Yvette is especially impressive with how seamlessly she handles task switching--whether she's feeding one baby or capturing a sweet moment of another, she never misses a beat. Ms. Melva on multiple occasion seamlessly feed multiple babies at the same time. It's remarkable how Ms. Melva and Ms. Yvette are able to juggle so many responsibilities while always staying present and cheerful with the kids. We can tell that this is not just another for-profit daycare/school, and that the owners as well as staff really do enjoy being around children, taking care of them, and supporting their growth and development. It's evident through Ms. Prasanthi and Mr. Ashok and the entire staff's interaction with every child that entered the school door, and it's most apparent through Ms. Prasanthi's ability to remember every child's name in the school as well as greeting them with a warm smile and little details about their lives. In short, we feel so lucky to have found The Goddard School of Pflugerville. It's more than just a daycare--it's a place where children are truly seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive. My wife and I had to pull our son out of Goddard before the holidays as we're moving back to New York State to be closer to family. One of the hardest parts of leaving Austin, truly, was leaving this school. Ms. Yvette and the rest of the staff at the school did so much to help our little guy with social skills, cognitive development, music and arts focus, fine motor skill development and more. There was so much care put in and their communication was fantastic. We cannot recommend this school enough for young children in the Pflugerville area. I was a teacher for 7 years, and so seeing such care put into their (structured) program made a huge impact on us all. Thank you to all staff at Goddard who did so much for our son. Long over due review and praise. I searched high and higher when looking for child care. I have VERY high expectations and this center didn't disappoint. I did a lot of research for over two months. Out of all the centers, their state inspection was squeaky clean and the front office staff and the owner are outstanding and sharp. I visited multiple times before we decided and I sat down with the owner and he answered all of my questions and went over all the paperwork with me. They have an app called Tadpoles that sends daily pictures and videos during the day and reminders at the end of the day. They don't have cameras but I learned to trust the staff are doing all the right things. I get daily emails of my tiny child painting and doing artwork. Yes, they do daily activities with the infants and story time! They have a table that I'm obsessed with, it's super cute!! I have micro preemie in the infant class. Because he was born at 23 weeks he required to be on oxygen for a period of time. The owner and the staff took the time to get trained on his equipment and called the state to make sure they were compliant. They are extremely thorough and I'm thankful! Mrs Yvette the infant teacher, calls to check when we are absent. The front office staff responds to all of my questions, emails and sometimes bossy requests They have never been rude or irritated with me. Always welcoming, friendly and kind. The only thing I can ask for is a no shoe policy. I haven't asked yet because I'm so grateful of all of the other things they do so well lol. My daughter has been attending Goddard since summer of 2017 and I will say I can't be more pleased. When I come in to pick her up she is all smiles as she greets me and says goodbye to her teachers and classmates (along with the occasional hugs to the teachers). The staff is friendly, involved, and informative. My background is military, 17 years, and I can say that Goddard Pflugerville runs a tight ship in terms of operations. Feeding, naps, STEAM activities, and physical/recess time are all scheduled and followed for the most part (there is a level of flexibility necessary for a school room full of children). I receive pictures and updates on the daycare's app which is great. Anywhere from potty attempts, to amount of food eaten, to amount of time slept. But how do you know it's actually happening? Good question! Being in technical sales/engineering grad school I would do a check in every now and then. Yes, the schedule is followed for the most part, I would say with about 90-95% alignment. Mr. Ashok, the owner, is formerly an engineer by trade and comes from a family history of teaching. You can tell that he places a great deal of focus, energy and emphasis in STEAM education as well as creating, leading and maintaining a caring and healthy environment. Of the nearly 2 years of attendance, I've only noticed 2 of Rain's teachers rotate out, one due to moving to a different city and one for schooling/training. This is significant. This would imply a healthy culture and environment among the staff which translates to positive secondary effects for the children. A Great place that is worthy of your trust. Having a child totally changed me and my perceptions. It changes a lot about you and opens new doors for how much you can possibly love someone. Unfortunately, it also pushes new boundaries for how much you can worry about someone, lol. It can be pretty stressful when you start realizing that you are about to entrust the most important thing in your life EVER to some strangers while you go sit and work and wonder what your child is doing and if they are ok. All right, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but mostly this is true. When we first met the folks at Goddard, they were great at acknowledging the rational and irrational fears you get as a parent. I am extremely grateful to Ashok and the staff for taking care of my Owen. They send you pics during the day, they have daily reports, they teach the kids A LOT of good stuff (and some ridiculously cute stuff too). They do fun arts and crafts projects, they provide some snacks during the day, they make cute gifts for you for Father's Day and the like. Most importantly, they provide me with a sense of peace knowing that my son is around people that care for him and will always do what is best for him. I am changing a lot of things right now with work and routines and this will involve me pulling Owen from Goddard and going into the program at my Church. I am sad because I know he loves his teacher, and he is comfortable at Goddard. Plus there are some trees out front with birds' nests and he is going to be devastated that we cant look at birdies in the nests at the new place. Picking a place to take your kids is tough. I am very disappointed and saddened by Goddard School. It started off really well for both of our children but worsened and worsened over time, especially for our pre-school aged child. The school lost a lot of good teachers and administrators over time, which I know is not uncommon in schools. However, those who left told us how poorly they were being treated and how two-faced and dishonest the owners were. We encountered several problems over time including our children being left in soiled diapers, being bitten and physically hurt by other children in several ways, saying horrible things when they come home, and new problem behaviors they do not have anywhere else. As my children graduated from class to class, the teachers became less and less reliable, educated, trained, and prepared to take care of children. The last class my preschool aged child was in was completely out of control. Children were in full on physical fights when we went to drop off our child for his first day in his new class. When we told the administrative staff, they acknowledged that had trouble in this class with these teachers and said they are trying many things to resolve the issues. We were very concerned because the school asked us to move our child to this class about six weeks early because he was doing so well and so advanced in his last class. We asked what we can do to help, and they said nothing, that we were the parents they never worry about and would let us know if they need anything. Our child started getting hurt every day by other children and crying and not wanting to go to school. Then, he started fighting back and we got reports ourselves. We gave feedback about what works well at home, evidenced based practices, and recommendations from our pediatrician in order to remedy the issues. Our pediatrician explicitly stated the problem was with how the school was handing the situation. A week after sending an email with concerns and doctor recommendations, I received no response to the email, but was told my son was no longer welcome at the school. The reasoning they gave was that he went outside unattended with four other children when another child opened the door to go out. I am still in complete shock that my child is being blamed for the school and the teachers' lack of control, supervision, and care in the school. Not all of those children were asked to not return, including the child who opened the door. The school stated that my son tried opening the door previously. However, the school never once informed us of this safety issue verbally or written, even though they gave us countless other reports of things going on and we asked on a regular basis about anything we can do. Either they are lying that this happened before or they were negligent of informing us of a safety concern, either way not acceptable. The owner also treated us very disrespectfully when informing us about our child no longer being welcome there. I was interrupted repeatedly; it was clear he had no interest in my concerns. My child was treated like a monster when he was set up to fail by the school and the teachers and blamed when his safety was in danger by those entrusted to keep him safe. This is how they treat a family who is very actively involved, I can't imagine how others are treated there. I waited to write this review until I was able to give it much consideration and consultation with others. My children have been in a new school for about two months and are both thriving. We have had zero reports, zero incidents, and zero concerns for safety. Their new teachers and administration are kind, warm, and capable of managing a class and providing a nurturing environment. I only wish I would have moved my children sooner. They did me the biggest favor ever by asking my son to leave their school. I gave two stars instead of one because they do have a couple of teachers there for tiny children that are really good. My 3 month old child attended the Goddard school for only 8 days before we withdrew her. We were already planning on giving our 30 day notice and starting a new daycare as we weren't even impressed with the center to begin with. For one, we were told the infant ratio is 2:8 - however they told us right before she started it would actually be 2:9 for awhile and we would have to share storage space with another child. Additionally they make you as a parent do a lot of work. All the bottles must be pre-made and you must bring your own sheets and change them weekly. The teachers never really gave me any feedback on how she was doing, and the babies were ALWAYS crying in there. Now that I've been to multiple daycares trying to find temporary care, I know that isn't the norm. It is very hard to understand why it's so expensive. But what this review really is about is the my child had a medical emergency while in their care, and they did not call EMS. I received a phone call that my infant had turned blue, stiffened up, and eyes rolled back in her head. Instead of calling 911 - they called me to ask if it had ever happened before. They even indicated when they called that it was an emergency. I ended up taking her to the hospital myself, where- long story short- she had a seizure. I spoke with countless doctors and nurses who all indicated that 911 should have been called in this case. They have reported the incident to the state and I'm waiting on hearing from them. While we were in and out of the hospital we were in communication with the owner, Ashok. We were never given an apology or a refund of unused tuition. In fact he stood by how his staff reacted to this situation and stated that's how they are trained to handle things- To not doing anything unless she was passed out, even though she had what they thought (said in their own words) was a seizure. So, my 3 month old child, with no history of seizures, appeared to have one that caused her to possibly stop breathing and turn blue, and they chose not to call an ambulance. Unacceptable. I filled out so much paperwork upon enrollment that gave them authority to call 911 and have her transferred via ambulance. Their own handbook says they call 911 and then a parent in case of an emergency. I happened to be working from home this day (normally I work downtown with at least a 30 minute commute) so luckily I was able to get there quickly to get her the attention she needed. Needless to say, this put us in a horrible bind. As many people know it's very difficult to find quality care for your child, especially an infant. I spent MONTHS researching childcare and trying to find what I thought was the perfect daycare. Most places have waitlists, and we have no family or anyone that could watch our child. Since we were already planning on switching daycares--out of shear desperation -- we told the owner, Ashok, we were OPEN to having a discussion about re-enrolling her. The only reason we even CONSIDERED this is because her teachers would now know what to look for and we had a feeling they would keep an extra close eye on her, and it would only be a couple of weeks before she could start her new daycare. Additionally it appeared that the Director was fired, so we thought maybe he was taking the incident seriously. However, to add insult to injury, Ashok told us he no longer had a spot for our child (this was a week later). The whole time he never took blame for anything and pushed back that they didn't do anything wrong. Yet, we had received an email about the Director no longer working there, which lead us to believe she was fired. It just makes me think that maybe there was more that happened than I'm even aware of. It's a terrible, scary feeling to not know exactly what happened to your child. They do not have cameras in the rooms. I just want all parents to know what happened here and how I don't think they are equipped to handle emergencies. I wonder if they are so proud of their "brand" that they didn't want the appearance of an ambulance at their center. The Director said she was giving a tour when all of this happened. Maybe they are so worried about looking bad, they didn't want to cause a scene. Thankfully my situation turned out okay, but I'm disgusted at the thought of how she was treated and how we were treated after the fact. It says a lot about the kind of person the owner is. I hope other parents look elsewhere. You can certainly find a better place for the same or even less money. read more

Horrible. For one, their tuition is way too much for what they have to offer. I paid $870 a month for MWF and they didn't even provide breakfast or lunch. They called me so many times to complain about my son's behavior. Every day it was, "He scratched someone...He bit someone...He almost knocked a shelf over!" Why the heck isn't the shelf secured? and my son had just turned TWO! and has trouble speaking. He was simply lashing out in frustration because he doesn't know how to talk. I had become so concerned I took my son to see a behavioral specialist who told me, "It's the daycare...switch him to another one and he'll be fine." So, I switched him to another daycare and what do you? He's doing perfectly fine. I don't recommend this place to anyone who has a super energetic kid with a speech delay. read more

I really have to say how much I LOVE this school. My baby is just over 3 months old and has been going here for two weeks. The staff is fabulous. They really care about the kids and they are good at their job. We wanted to be sure that our spoiled little tadpole would be getting the best care while we're at work and I have NO doubt that she is. Why? What makes this school so much better than the others? Let me tell you: I did some research. The TX DFPS site has them listed at 2 deficiencies of 2159 standards. For comparison, my next closest center has 58 of 2482 and almost half of those are High Risk! Since safety ranks even higher on my concern list than spoiling, this was an amazing percentage and worth the price of admission in and of itself. But there's more. Ms Taylor and Ms Cassie are fabulous with the infants. It's not just how they handle the kids when I'm there (which is often, btw, because they Highly Encourage parental visits & involvement), but how the children love them back. The teachers and assistants love all the kids, it's obvious, but for the babies to respond in kind, you know they are being treated well even when no one is looking. When my baby sees her teachers, she smiles and leans toward them. When the older infants (6-12 months) are packing up to leave, they pout and reach for their teachers. And we get daily reports on everything! Nap times, potty times, tummy time, and events! In the last two weeks, they have learned 3-4 yoga poses, 3-4 letters of the ASL alphabet, read books, picked favorite pictures, even done "stained glass," sponge and finger painting projects. If anything I feel guilty for not challenging my brilliant little bear enough at home. So I'm very glad that we picked a great place where she can develop and grow in a safe, caring environment. Wow. Do I sound like an ad or what? I don't mean to, but I really love this place and wish there was a 6th star. What else could be helpful information? The Owner and Director are fabulous too. Their philosophy is that even though they are running a business, it's a family too. If you miss the "it takes a village" attitude, this might be the place for your precious cargo. Did I mention that when I wake her up from naptime at school, my daughter wakes up with a big, bold smile? And there is one other bonus: she comes home exhaustedly happy and sleeps all through the night. read more

You know I contemplated if I would rewrite my review but here I am. I thought this was a good daycare . The smiles, the good mornings from the owners and staff. It all started going downhill when I once explained how uncomfortable I was with the way they were potty training. I walked in and there were 2 dads I assume just standing there looking in the class because parents are not allowing inside but it was during the potty time. What upset me was that me a those 2 dads could see every child sitting on the pott, them getting up and pulling up their underwear. Yes , see their private parts. Of course I mentioned it and the Lady owner and got blew off. That's when I knew I should look around for another. Next issue I arrive to pick up my child and the parking lot was almost blocked by police officers and Cort née was in the middle of them looking very uncomfortable. I give my 30 day notice then but all of a sudden everything they already knew about my child became an issue things I told them about before enrollIng . After my 30 day notice the hello and smiles went away from the owners and I believe he was treated less important now because of him leaving. So one day they say he ran into the playground and it was a security issue and will be discharged, fine because that told me someone wasn't watching my child!!! So beware of those all too white teeth smiling at you from the lady owner because there's a knife ready to stab you in back also. Period read more

My son attended the Goddard School in Pennsylvania and my plan was to enroll him at another Goddard School when we moved to TX. And I am so blessed and happy to have found The Pflugerville Goddard school. I cannot say enough positive things about this school. I am one of those parents who is very inquisitive and investigates everything my son does and this school passes with an A+. The school is clean, safety is top notch, the kids play outside almost every day. And the staff is amazing, you get daily reports of your child's activities. The owner Ms. Helen, is like a mom to all the kids and she knows EVERYBODY by name. Making you feel right at home. My 2 year old is bilingual, and the teacher actually offered to learn a few words in our language to aid communication with him. I am having another baby any day now and that baby will be attending the Pflugerville Goddard School. Take your kids to this school if you want them to have excellent social and academic skills in the best possible environment.I absolutely LOVE this school. Warm, friendly and welcoming are just a few of the words I would use to describe Paul and Helen, owners of this location. I have always felt that I could go to them about any issue with the school (and some not school related) and know that I would have their attention and they genuinely cared about the matter. Our youngest has some issues with being denied something she wants. We worked with the teachers to try and address our concerns. We certainly felt that our child needed to be directed in a more constructive manner but we also felt that our child was not always getting the attention needed to avoid the behavior. I am very picky of where I leave her and what I allow her to do. But the teachers here won me over, and they are not actors like some other schools where the teachers act all nice in front of you. I have 10 years of managment business experience, and I know when someone is just icing the cake. But this school has the best system I have ever seen. Every teacher my girl has has still loves her. We have two children at The Goddard School of Pflugerville that we enrolled right before Covid shut things down. Despite difficulties from ever changing regulations, both of our children have excelled here. We have had no issues with them being unhappy here or disliking any staff members as we have had at other schools. Yes. It is really is 5 stars. My son went to this school for two years. He loved each and every one of his teachers and each and every day at his school. They are very kind, and yet firm. They laid the foundation of respecting others and socializing. Special respect to the owner, who went out of his way to help parents with any issues they might have. The management, teachers, classrooms and tuition rates are all just right! My toddler has a great time and it feels positive every time we go in and out. Staff is friendly and organized. The owner Mr Ashok is very involved, we see him almost every day and he is always smiling, ready to answer any questions you may have. He has been very accommodating with our schedule too, which I truly appreciate. Ms Danielle is so good at what she does at the front desk, she always greets us with a smile. If I could, I would give them a 2.5....my son went there for almost a year. Initially The Goddard School seem to be a pretty good fit. Then directors changed and that's when it seem like problems begin to emerge. My son was always getting in trouble or hurt at the school. It seemed as if the teachers or unable to control the classroom. They kept calling me for every little thing and it seemed as if he was being pigeon-holed after one incident. The final straw was when I get a phone call saying that I need to pick up my son and I wasn't able to so I had my daughter who was an emergency contact pick him up and pretty much they told my daughter that he was no longer allowed to come to the school. Plus, this school does not serve meals only snacks amd they are the most expensive oit of most the schoils in the area. My daughter first attended The Goddard School in their pre-K program. After she started public school, she enrolled in their after-school program. We have been very pleased thus far. All of the staff at The Goddard School really seem to love their jobs. On the flip side, the children seem to adore the adults. It is a genuinely happy and calm place that puts my mind at ease. The teachers are dedicated and committed to providing a safe environment where the kids can learn, grow and develop. I wish I could give more than 5 stars - this school is so awesome. Our 18-month-old daughter has been here since she was 3 months old and has thrived. I was very anxious about leaving her in anyone else's care so I could return to work, but we definitely made the right decision. She learned so much from her infant room teachers - they worked with each of the babies individually based on their ages and development levels - it was impressive. They were also so caring and invested that she still gets excited to see them. She also loves her first steps teachers and asks every morning about when it's time to leave for school. One of the things that struck me about this particular school when I was looking was how invested the owner was in each of the kids. That has held true - Helen knows every kid, every family, etc. and is always able to answer or address any questions or concerns immediately. My little guy is about 6 months old and has been at Goddard for 3 months. I absolutely love the directors and teachers at this school. We're a week out of Goddard after a year in, and it feels like we got our life back. I think if you're really controlling and want a regimented environment for your child, it could be worth the extra effort and money. It wasn't a fit for us. PROS 1. There are some great teachers here. And that's huge! But we've loved teachers at other places, too. 2. Generally the child-to-teacher ratio is lower than other schools, but not always. 3. Good security on the door and perfect inspection rating. CONS 1. The policies killed us. * We had to pre-make bottles for the baby, and as a 7- to 9-month-old, we were told she drank 30 oz 8am-5pm plus snacks and a lunch. That's double what she drinks at home and at new daycare. * We had to pack lunches for baby and toddler. * Drop off took so long, and it was always a mess with too much stuff. For toddler, milk and anything heated were taken to a different room w a fridge. For baby, we brought milk into a connecting room w a fridge. And we had to take our shoes off and put on slippers or shoe covers. * We had to buy and bring bedding and bring it home every Friday, back every Monday. * There were so many fundraisers ALL THE TIME despite them being the most expensive daycare I've seen around here. 2. It felt like the owner doesn't care about the children's wellbeing, and here's why. * I gave notice, then retracted it. Within a few weeks, I gave notice again because we just could NOT take how time-consuming it was. Our daycare routine was by far the worst out of all of our friends, so we knew we had to give ourselves a break. Helen insisted on us serving our 30 days' notice even though I would've been up on the initial notice I gave. * Then the owner, Helen, tried to move my son into the next room up entirely on his own. They had a new kid coming in, so she tried to bump my son into a room he didn't know with new kids and teachers, knowing he was leaving in 2 weeks. They said it was because they needed to keep his class the same size. That's SO GREEDY and HEARTLESS. After that, I was clear that I expected the owner to do the right thing and refund the rest of the notice period because clearly I can't trust her. She refused. So, that's the kind of person she is. You can't judge a person by what they say, but you can certainly judge them on what they do. read more

My daughter has been attending for 5 months in the 3 year old group. Her teacher is kind and patient. They provide me with daily emails about her day (the daily lesson plan, a picture of her, a personal statement of what she did that day, a description of how much lunch she ate and how long was her nap). It is a nurturing place where they focus on the whole child and theme based curriculum. For example, when learning about Ocean animals, they will read a book about the ocean, work on large motor skills by pretending to be fish in the ocean, focus on fine motor skills by creating a painting of the blue of the ocean, and so on. read more

As first time parents with a 6-month old in the infant classroom five days a week, my husband and I have extreme confidence with the Goddard School Pflugerville teachers, staff and management. Our son has been enrolled since he was 3 months and from the time we toured to present day we are greeted by name with personal touch. The daily photos, videos and report are appreciated during the transition and when we are missing our little guy. His classroom teachers are interactive and hands on with our son. We are pleased with the lessons, activities and time devoted to our child's learning and growth. The teachers in other classrooms are also very kind and go out of their way to ensure they get to know my son. If there is a problem/issue I am notified immediately and we discuss resolution. Management has been a pleasure to work with from getting our son enrolled earlier than anticipated to ensuring we received military discount. My husband and I are truly blessed to have a place we entrust in the care our son during the business day. read more

I have always been a stay at home mom and was very unsure about placing my 3 (Devon) & 5 (Steven) year old children anywhere but with me. I interviewed the Goddard school and liked it, however had found another school that made me feel a little more comfortable( Stepping Stone.) Well 2 weeks into Stepping Stone we withdrew my kids due to my daughter's soaked through training pants every day. We headed back to the Goddard school. Helen the owner was very helpful and is always on site. She took our kids in right away, and through the end always made me and my children more than happy. My kids came home with work from school everyday along with a daily report including what they learned, how much they ate and how long they napped. I was greeted every morning and Helen was always there to open the door for my kids & I. ( Many mornings I had one on each arm still sleeping.) My kids loved it there and I will miss knowing that they are in a constructive environment with friends and teachers that I have come to trust. Unfortunately I have recently withdrew my children from the Goddard school due to a job change, however, I would recommend this school to everyone and would bring my kids back at anytime. I was very disappointed the professional abilities of the Kinder/After school teacher. She did not seem to particularly enjoy the presence of children, she was totally overwhelmed and stressed out, and it was obvious that she lacked the basic knowledge of how to successfully guide students of this age group. We signed our son up for the after-school program having no other option for pick up from his school, and fortunately we were able to adjust work schedules so that he would not have to come here. Our son had not attended even one day when I notified the director (5 days after regrettably enrolling him) and she told me they would be keeping the nearly $300 for tuition despite the fact that they had not provided care services. With the sub-par teacher, lack of professional reasoning, and urgency to take money without providing services, it is clear where the priorities lie here. You'd be better off somewhere else!! read more
