FINALLY. I've found an alterations place that does a good job and for an amazing price! I came in on a Wednesday with a top that I needed altered in order to wear that coming Saturday. The website I purchased it from sent me the wrong size and quickly ran out of stock as it was part of a sale. I walked in and was greeted by Mike who assured me it would be done by Friday. And the best part is that it was! It was altered exactly how I needed it to be. Mike is a really cool guy. People say he is "pushy" or "abrupt" but it's a part of his personality and his culture. I'm Italian and talking to him was like talking to one of my family members. I can see why some may find it to be a negative thing, but it is only because they can't relate to us loud Italians. He does quality work and I highly recommend him to anyone needing an alteration, especially if it is needed quickly. read more

Absolute worst tailor in South Florida! He would be better off running a butcher shop. The clothes I brought in were never completed on the day he promised. I heard more excuses from him than anything. He ruined a new JCrew suit I brought in for alterations. I had to take it to another place to try and get it repaired. His customer service skills are atrocious. Both times I went there, his store was locked during business hours and I had to wait outside for 10 minutes for him to open the door. He would not take my credit card and demanded cash from me, saying that his "phone line wasn't working to run the credit card." This place is a joke. I went here on the supposed 5 star reviews from others.. Couldn't be further from the truth! Save your time and money by avoiding this place like the plague. Horrendous! read more

This guy is amazing! I flew in from the Fort Lauderdale airport for a Christmas Party. I needed some tailoring on a jacket I had before the party that was in 4 hours from when I Landed. Thought I would take a shot and see if any tailoring companies could help me out. Basically two other places laughed at me when I told them I needed it done immediately. Called The Creative Needle and Michael answered the phone. Guy couldn't be any more nice. He told me to come by and he would do whatever he could to help me. I came back the next day to drop off my husband pants and he said your clothes are ready. We originally agreed to Friday. He also did my husband pants on the spot so we would not have to come back. I happened to find this place on a whim and thank God I did! I received my dress on Thursday afternoon, I was attending a wedding out of town that Saturday, which literally gave me no time to alter or even find a replacement dress, I was a wreck! The dress was beautiful but was tight in the bust (unfortunately not wearable, it would never hold through the night, not to mention how uncomfortable it would be). I figured it was worth a shot, so I yelped a few alteration options in my area and crossed my fingers.... Creative Needle had the best reviews so I got in my car, dress in tow, and headed over. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a warm hello and smile... The shop owner (Mike), asked if I could wait a few moments as he finished with another client, and as I waited he asked what brought me in... I explained my situation and the major time crunch and without hesitation he said "no problem, you relax, I'll take care of this". Once he finished with the woman ahead of me he asked me to try on the garment so he could see what could be done... He explained what he had in mind and why he thought it was best and got straight to work. I figured he would tell me to come by first thing in the morning (as he closed at 6 and I showed up at 4ish), but he told me to pull up a chair and we talked as he worked.... It felt like we were old friends, I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and hearing how he came about etc., and before I knew it he was finished! No only did he completely change the closure in the back (he took it from straight to a deep v in order to accommodate my bust, haha), but the his workmanship was superior!! I was in complete awe! I am so thankful I found Mike at the Creative Needle! He is kind, welcoming, super funny and a true artist and master of his craft! Not only does he do alterations etc etc but he does custom EVERYTHING.... it's really quite remarkable- I only wish I found him sooner!!! read more

My pregnancy jeans ripped from where the spandex meets the jeans straight down the left side of the zipper about 1/3 of the rise up. When I called the gentleman said it could be repaired in 1hr. I dropped my jeans off ( forgetting to ask for a receipt) When I returned to pick up my jeans they were close to perfect!! My husband was even impressed because it was a noticeable rip. The staff was very professional and honest. I was charged only $6! What a deal to save $200 jeans from the donation bin! If you need alteration this is a great place! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I Dropped off a dress that only needed to be shortened an inch. He told me it would be ready 3 days later and when I got there to pick it up (2 hours after he said it would be ready), he hadn't even started it. He's a scum bag and scam artist and when I told him that I would be taking the dress with me and not using him ever again he told me that he hopes I get hit by a car. This place is amazing-I was in town for a military event and had a belt loop get unattached unexpectedly. I sent a friend over to get it repaired as quick as possible, Mr. Mike understood the urgency and took the time out right away to repair the belt loop. I have never written a Yelp review before, but decided it was necessary after I was hoodwinked by the wonderful reviews of Creative Needle on Yelp. I landed at the airport with a dress that needed minimal mending (the seam had come undone about an inch directly below the back zipper) before attending a wedding the next day. I looked to Yelp for a reliable tailor to do a great job in a short period of time. I called Creative Needle and informed him of my predicament and he said come on over. I was there in 20 minutes and walked in to a construction zone - dirt everywhere including all over the tailor's hands and shirt. He cleaned up and said it wasn't a problem. After he fixed the seam I reviewed it and asked him to do it again - he did so with much disdain. After he created a crooked seam for the second time he declared that he wouldn't do it again and that it must have been someone else's fault (I've never worn this dress). He then hastily sewed the lining closed and ruined my dress in the process. He sewed through the entire dress likely out of retaliation - I still paid him the full amount requested and I ended up with a crooked seam and a now ruined designer dress to wear to the wedding. DO NOT GO HERE. The customer is not right at Creative Needle. I can only praise him for the speed with which he accomplished the task. read more

Absolutely terrible business. He worked on a designer dress which admittedly was hard to work on but he had to redo the work three times. Each time my fiancé went in the place, he did nothing but talk about how he wanted a girl on the side to help with the work and more. The sash for the dress which needed no work came back with black grease like he was stepping on it. Never done when promised, claimed he was out with an injury and finally after sitting 3 hours so he would finish just to get it done, the nightmare was over. This place is great!!! I was searching for a tailor after dropping off my brand new 500.00 fitted suit and two weeks gone by it was still not touched. I found Creative needle and drop off few things. Mike the owner ask me if Friday was ok (two day turn around) and i said sure. Though later found out I have important meeting in two day so when i called back and ask for a rush he not only gave me back the items fully tailored with perfect work quality, he tailor the jacket to my body type where the previous tailor I visited didn't even noticed would cause a issue! He LOST my expensive dresses!!!! I cannot believe the unprofessionalism I have dealt with with this man. I have never written a review but am so shocked by his reaction. His shop is an absolute mess!! When I confronted him, he accused me of already picking them up and lying to him! When I went into his shop to try and find them, I had my corresponding receipt and had to go digging through bags all throughout the shop. He was pulling them out of drawers and closets. I dropped my bridesmaid dress to be taken in as a walk in. Supper nice guy. He did took some measurements and I left. When I returned there was another man waiting dropping off a pair of pants, the man said to the tailor to help me first (that was so nice, so I thought) The tailor asked me to try on the dress but not to zip it up all the way because he wanted to make sure the delicate fabric on the top part of the dress was not going to be eaten by the zipper. Of course I did not want to come out to the main waiting area since there was a strange man there, so I waited patiently while the tailor help the man. As I waited the strange "nice man" yelled from across the room asking me if I was going to come out. I replied that I was waiting on the tailor to zip me up. He then said he would come over and do it him self! CREEPY!!! It was at that moment that the tailor's nice attitude turned from helpful to borderline rude with the "nice man". He pretty much kicked him out of the store. He apologized to me and finished the final details of my dress that was PERFECT! So in conclusion great service and product, but I wish there was a bit more privacy. read more

If you have something that has a deadline, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. I had a bridesmaid dress that the owner quoted would take a week tops. I got fitted and he assured me he would call me as soon as it was ready. 10 days later no call, so I call him and he sounded like he had forgotten about my dress and said it would be ready in 2 days. I show up to try it on and the length was dragging on the floor and he accused me of wearing different heels, which mind you i wore the same ones i am wearing for the wedding. He then took it up again and told me he would call when it was ready. Two days passed and no calls from him and i told him I MUST HAVE THIS BY THIS TIME AND WILL BE BY YOUR SHOP AT 5:30, he assured me that was no issue. Once I hadn't heard from him I CALLED and he answered saying "I am leaving early today and I do not know when I will be back to be honest". Mind you this was the LAST DAY i could get my dress for a wedding, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! I then had to leave work early to get it. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. TAKE YOUR ALTERATIONS ELSWHERE.
