Small store but I was pleasantly surprised to see our dogs' kibble available (Taste of the Wild)-- which you can also buy in scoops by the pound!! They have tons of dog supplies (poop bags, toys, shampoo, leashes, collars, harnesses), and even offer nail trimming and grooming (i think) as well. They also have tons of bird seed and much more! When I arrived, I found out the bag was the size of a kitchen trash can and not a huge lawn/leaf bag. So I decided on two bags. One of the other gentleman employees overheard and recommended a mulch bale instead, he said the can split it in half and bag them for $18 rather $22 and gave 4x more hay. I used to live two blocks from them and always love the small hometown feeling. The are a small business serving the South Bay for decades providing needs to the community at very reasonable prices and the staff is very friendly, that's why I chose them.

Found workers a little rude and overbearing. I mentioned to my dad, that I've seen another veterinarian in the opposite shopping center where the supermarket is, which I'm sure service is better as one other person waiting in the waiting area said. Overall we were disappointed on service and quality of care for our dog. One other thing they agreed with not going to the meat market next door. Health dept closed them for a short time. Parking is awful here, even though they have two reserved parking spaces in front of the clinic which I was surprised no other businesses here have reserved parking in front of their business.

They also offer boarding and training. It has been more than a year since I started having Baby groomed by our regular groomer. Recently, I suddenly became unwell and needed to undergo some medical testing, and unfortunately, our regular groomer was off that day. Another staff member kindly took care of Baby instead. What impressed me even more was that our regular groomer had left very detailed written instructions for the staff regarding Baby's haircut and grooming. I could see how carefully he communicated Baby's needs, even when he was not there himself. It was such a professional and thoughtful way of handling things, and it made me trust the salon even more. Baby has a very challenging triple coat, which makes bathing and grooming more difficult than usual. We have always discussed the style together, and for more than six months now, we have been happily keeping the same haircut. If you are looking for a grooming salon, I would recommend this place without hesitation. The staff are wonderful, the environment is clean, and most importantly, I feel completely comfortable leaving my Baby in their care. I asked "do I bring him back for you to complete the job because he is not trimmed, which was the purpose of the visit" ? And the answer was " on the next visit".... The first picture is my Ozzy boy now and the second picture is from our first evening together at a pizza place. His old owners surrendered him for being too destructive but he just needed to be inside and have a chewy treat. I named him Ozzy because he trashed stuff in the past like a rockstar and Ozzy Osbourne had recently passed. With a destructive label on his kennel card and his fear of people-- he was the small dog there the longest. He was shaking and so scared but I wanted to rescue a dog who didn't have much of a chance. Ozzy now knows many tricks, listens well, and is a loyal buddy. We are enjoying our first summer together by going to the dog beach and spending lots of time outside. Thank you to the workers at the Harbor Animal Services for picking out a good boy for me. Your team took good care when nobody else gave a hoot about him. If you're reading this and thinking about getting a new best friend (my 16 year old best buddy Sid died in 2025) please consider adopting a dog who nobody else wants. Ozzy is a superstar now!!!

He's an amazing cuddle bug who loves pets, car rides, and treats. We're still working on some toy possessiveness, but it has improved immensely from where it started. He's not a danger to anyone and has even been able to play with other dogs in small group settings a few times. We also fostered a dog for a weekend to help with potty training before it went to its new home, and our dog absolutely loved it. Scout has truly been the missing piece we didn't know we needed. He can be a little lazy at times, but he has so much personality packed into his small body. Adopting a shelter animal takes time, patience, and understanding--but time really does heal. Don't let initial behavioral notes or interactions at the shelter deter you from finding your perfect match--your fur friend, soul dog... or cat... or even a critter. We've even created a whole backstory for him, and we genuinely believe adopting him was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He gets so many compliments on how he looks, and he soaks up all the attention he gets from strangers.
