Wanting to avoid another wasted trip, I called this morning to confirm that tours were being conducted and nothing was needed like an appointment. The person I spoke with confirmed that tours were available between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., which matches the information posted on your website. When I arrived, I was informed that I could not go on a tour because the manager was not there and had to take a dog to the veterinarian. Apparently, no other staff member was able to conduct a tour. However, nowhere on the website does it state that tours are dependent on a specific individual being present or that only the manager is authorized to conduct them. Had that information been disclosed, I could have avoided making a second unnecessary trip. When I explained to the front desk employee that I had specifically called this morning to confirm tours before making the drive, she suggested that I may have spoken with a call center because she had been the only person answering phones all morning. I clarified that I had been transferred directly to the South Bay/Carson location and confirmed that this was the location I called. She repeated that she had been the only person answering phones. I then asked what I could do differently next time, since this was now the second time I had been turned away despite following the information provided. Her advice was to call ahead and specifically ask for the South Bay location--which is exactly what I had already done. When I asked if there was a direct phone number for the location so I could avoid this issue in the future, I was told there wasn't one. At this point, I will not be returning. I was also offered beverages several times and checked on to make sure I was well and comfy. The entire staff was friendly & so we're most of the clients. One client even sat and chatted with me while he enjoyed a nice flute of champs. I snuck peaks at my baby girl who looked pleasantly relaxed each time I played spy. It looked like a total spa day for her. When I knew she was almost done I went to the nearby market. I was completely unmissed because when I came back my little girl was still happily vibing with her new friend. I saw people use the self service wash which looked amazingly stocked. I usually self wash my baby somewhere else, but decided she was at a point where we would both benefit from a real groomer. So glad we did. When all was said and done Elli looked amazing! Not a single injury was disclosed to us when we picked him up. The only reason we found out about one of the cuts was because we noticed a powder substance on his rear and were later told it was used to stop the bleeding. Once we got home, we discovered additional cuts that had never been mentioned. We regularly have our dog shaved down and have never had a groomer injure him like this. The haircut itself was also extremely poor. His ears were uneven, the grooming was sloppy, and he looked nothing like he normally does after being professionally groomed. What is most upsetting is that instead of taking responsibility, apologizing, and showing concern for my dog's injuries, the owner denied there was a problem. When my family went back to discuss the situation and request a refund, we were met with excuses rather than accountability. Accidents can happen. Injuring a dog multiple times and failing to tell the owner is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would never trust this business with my pet again. There is a new groomer in the same plaza. We dropped him off at 9 am they said they closed at 3pm. We were home napping . They sent text messages saying if we didn't pick up our dog we were getting charged an additional $25. Its not posted anywhere that additional charges was an option. Our first time using them as we get our dog groomed every 3 weeks so not much to do but clean up. $90 for such little work and small dog. Our dogs rear end still had hair that was not trimmed. We were given high recommendations from our family but we will most likely go back to our groomer its worth the travel time.
