There is so much love and life in this little pet store. While they don't sell market brands they do have the largest selection of quality pet foods available in the harbor area. They also carry medications and flea control. In addition they run a rescue out of this location called Animals Rule. This rescue has saved thousands of animals. This old white man seen us and didn't even greet us he just looked at us up and down so It's gotten to the point that I stopped buying anything because I refuse to support a business that doesn't make me feel comfortable. So be mindful if you're anything other than white you might not receive the best customer service. I've been here several times and not once have I received a smile or had someone greet me. Maybe learn how to be less racist.

This time I decided to choose Stephanie as a groomer. Kona likes everyone but he tends to be more relaxed with women. I really appreciated the compassion & attentivenesss I received prior to the grooming. I explained in details what I was looking for, the type of cut, the fact Kona has very tender knees & the gentleness I required be given during the grooming. I went into specific details & she was very confident & assured me shed take good care on my "son", I am a very protective mom so trying a new groomer can be very stressful but upon leaving I felt very comfortable & confident he was in good hands. The grooming took approximately 3 hours (it was a busy Saturday). When I arrived to pick him up, he greeted me he was in good spirits. I gave him a once over as I always do after grooming. The cut was perfect, the curls on his ears were not touched, his nails were smooth, his paws were neatly trimmed, and he smelled great and he seemed to really like Stephanie which was a bonus. I think we have found our new groomer! The fact that being a Premier Vetco member I was able to use my $30 rewards towards the groom, plus I received 20% off the entire groom was only $47. I couldnt have been happier. Thank you Stephanie for being so compassionate, so attentive and really listening to my requests & concerns. I could feel your love for the pets and that you truly love your job. We will see you again in a couple months.

They also clearly know what they're doing. The staff is knowledgeable and can answer questions without giving you that blank stare you sometimes get at other aquarium shops. But the pricing is honestly kind of shocking. A lot of their equipment is outrageously overpriced compared to what you can find online or even at other local stores. For example, I saw a UNS double valve connector selling for about $60 when the same thing is easily available online for around $20. They also had the Kessil 35° reflector priced at $50, and I've never seen those go for more than $30 or $35 anywhere else. I get that local fish stores have overhead and can't always compete with online pricing, and I'm totally fine paying a little more to support a brick and mortar shop. But some of these markups feel excessive. If you need something immediately and don't mind paying a premium, it's a solid store with good selection and knowledgeable staff. Just be prepared for some pretty steep prices on certain items. Overall I'd say it's worth visiting, but definitely price check before buying equipment.

Bonnie basically told me my situation doesn't matter and that I need to keep this cat because no one is going to adopt this cat(I thought help getting stray cats adopted was the whole point of their organization?). She kept repeating this so much and talking so much it was hard to get any of my words in or even to hang up. She told me even if I don't want to keep the cat, just lock the cat up in a room because cats don't need a lot of space. Uhhhhh is this really the best solution Pet Assistance can provide?
