Brandon immediately translated our plan into his software so we could discuss options and take on suggestions for improvement. He was quick and precise in making adjustments to appease our HOA and fit within our budget. The crew was meticulous in their work on the yard. If it was on the plan it was replicated in the yard. If we saw something that needed a slight adjustment they were happy to accommodate. I recall a situation where we needed a concrete walkway to go wider around an AC unit. The crew quickly responded by forming a wider path. Nate was great at scheduling project dates and also helped to make sure our AC units were reinstalled in a timely manner after our concrete was poured. We were relieved to have them up and running again before a forecasted heat wave arrived. Brandon was there at every stage of the project and was always quick to respond. He was at the nursery with us when it came time to choose the plants, making suggestions for plants that best fit our specific environment. During the middle of construction a rain storm hit our area and we had some concerns about how the yard would handle it in an unfinished state. He came out late at night to make sure the drainage would be okay until the storm passed. Upon completion of the project he was there to make sure everything was tidied up after the final walkthrough. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation on a yard install or remodel I would surely tell them to call Reliable Landscape and Design.

We signed a $67,000 landscaping contract with this company in March. While we understood the initial weather-related delays, the way our project was handled afterward was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On our scheduled project start date (May 26th) no one showed up and we received no phone call, email, or update. After taking time off work to be home for the project, we had to call the company ourselves, only to be met with confusion and surprise, as if they were unaware our project was even scheduled to begin. They then scrambled to contact employees and send someone out later that day for a "walk through." This is something that should have been completed well before the scheduled start date. We were then assured work would begin the following morning at 8:00 AM. By 10:00 AM, no one had arrived and again we had received no communication. When we called for answers, an employee told us the owner and our project advisor should have already been at our house to speak with us. That had never happened. When we calmly expressed our concerns about the repeated lack of communication, the no call/no show, and the fact that we had now missed multiple days of work for nothing, the owner, Brandon, immediately responded by asking if we wanted to cancel the project. We explained that cancellation was not our goal. We simply wanted accountability, communication, and follow-through. Brandon then stated, "I don't like the tone you have. I've been in the landscaping business since the 90s. I have 9 other projects going on and I don't like your tone, so we can just go ahead and cancel this project." At no point were we disrespectful. We were frustrated customers trying to understand why a major project had been mishandled from the start. For a company handling projects of this size and cost, we expected professionalism, communication, and BASIC reliability. Unfortunately, our experience has been the exact opposite. I really didn't know what I wanted in the beginning but just wanted our front yard cleaned up, but the more I looked at our yard I knew I wanted something clean and different with grass. I asked Victor what he was able to do and he pretty much said he can do it all and he did not come up short! He provided me a very reasonable quote to redo the front yard and back. He provided some ideas, but ultimately did what was asked and made it beautiful. He did not deviate from his quote when added material was needed or changes had to be made which made it that much more to appreciate the work done! He and his crew worked very hard, and finished the job in a timely manner despite some raining days. Things he completed: -Removed all plants, bushes, roots. -Removed all rocks top soil and mulch -Dug out a path for the stairs -Cement for the stairs and added curbing to the front and backyard -Completed and added sprinkles and drip system to front and backyard - added new top soil and sod to the front and backyard -removed and hauled away all old material. Worst contractor ever. They started the job on April 27 and finished first week in June they said 2…read moreweeks to complete job . After the first 2 weeks they started another job and were going days at a time not showing up. Also paid 20% up front then the rest when completed but asked for money twice before finished . When they took out my trees they did not take out all of the roots in the ground and did nothing to the dirt to kill weeds etc before putting the cheapest weed barrier down that after 2 weeks were coming through everywhere (see attached pics) . They subbed out concrete work which looked pretty good which was stamped and colored . When concrete was done there were a couple chips and bare patches of color that the landscapers patched with no color ( see photo). Also lost 30 % of plants died which most of them I replaced myself they replaced some of them but took over a month to do. The reason most of them died is because the drip line either wasn't to the plant or non existent to the plant and when they came back to replace the plants they moved rock out of the way to put a better weed barrier down for an hour a day for 1 or 2 days and told me they would fix it all but never came back to finish all of it. There are many things they did not finish that I let go and did myself but the main issue with the weeds I wanted corrected was all I asked for and they couldn't even do that . Look the guys were great and I trusted them at my home and the design we came up with looks great but the quality and follow through of the work was not great at all. Update All my new drip lines are leaking and most plants have died and I have more weeds than the grass that was removed. Also now that rain has came it is flooding everywhere as they took at all my drains in my front and back yard and never replaced pretty awesome waste of money

We called a number of businesses whose response was, "We don't do that small a job." However, when we called Chris, he immediately set up an appointment. He was a few minutes early for our appointment, and he listened intently to what we were planning. He waited until we had said our piece and then asked if he could give some suggestions, which were great. He confessed that his team was working on another large job in the Sacramento area, so we knew our project wouldn't be immediate. He gave us a VERY reasonable quote, so we said, "Let's go." In less than three weeks, Chris and his team were at our door, right on time! We reviewed the project, and his team went to work. These men were fantastic, working in the growing summer heat until the project was completed. Chris made sure we knew that we could call him with any questions we had.
