There was a wolf kept in a small, concrete floor, tiny stall with a big cat and the cat bit the wolf. We let a staff member know and they told us the name of the person who owned the wolf (we assumed the animals were owned by Big Cat Habitat and not private individuals. Big Cat Rescue in Tampa is a legitimate rescue. Big Cat Habitat is more like a side circus where most animals are kept in enclosures which are too small. Please support legitimate rescues and not places where private individuals own and display their pets.

They have quail, duck, chicken, etc eggs to pick from. In BJ's the "super organic legit" eggs are $9 a dozen but the yolk is still as light as the $2 eggs. Here you get real eggs for the same price so it's a no brainer for me. They sell honey, soap, eggs, milk, kefir, cheese, and more. And there's adoptable cats! Glad to have finally found a place that sells raw milk for our cat! They have goat milk by quart, half gallon, or gallon. And cow milk by the gallon. The first time we came here we were lucky and they have both, usually you have to preorder so make sure to do that not to waste a trip!!! ....18 September 2026 …read more.... My friend and I stopped by the Walker ( Honey ) Farm to purchase some honey for his return trip to Tallahassee. My friend is a former resident of Fort Myers and is familiar with the Walker Farm. This was my first visit. My friend made his purchase and , not knowing there are various flavors of honey until now , I decided to try some. I tried the Black Mangrove honey and the Orange Blossom honey. There are other flavors but I liked the Black Mangrove and purchased a small bottle for $27.50 There are larger bottles for $50.00. The Bees are on site and the honey is produced and sold there in a little rickety wooden frame house. The owner Buddy Walker , a cantankerous BUT pleasant young fellow , ( he's 82 ) greeted us as we entered the store. I admired the beautiful Palm Tree in front of the store and asked Buddy what was the name of that Palm Tree. He said he didn't know. As we were pulling out of the lot to leave, Buddy came running out to tell us that he checked and discovered the name of the Palm tree is Bismarck. Now that I know there are various flavors of honey I will return and maybe try another flavor. Can't wait to try this Black Mangrove in my Green Tea. See ya later Buddy

I really loved this place and walking around the path seeing bright colored zinnias and sunflowers…read more At first I was like, oh these are not the 10 foot gigantic sunflowers that I have seen elsewhere. But after walking through, I thought it was nice just feeling like you are in a field of wildflowers just being super carefree. There were a few vendors, and they sold snacks like kettle corn, drinks, etc. They had games like badminton, the bean bags, rubber ducky water races, and swings. They also have a hay ride. There was sun and shade. We brought out umbrellas for added shade through the flower fields. This was a super fun experience! I'll be back in the fall for their corn maze! I can't wait! Check this out! They will do it next weekend for one last time. It doesn't say it on the website, but for sure they are doing it!

It all started when we checked in and got our first cup of feed for the day. A short stroll over to their petting zoo led us straight to the donkeys, goats, and some of their youngest Highlands. We strolled around their petting zoo while we wait for our tour to start. After a proper introduction to all of the animals in the petting zoo, we loaded onto a tractor driven by an infant and a farm dog and were taken farther onto the property and there they were! There were at least a dozen Highlands ready for eating! We were given buckets with pellets and the feeding began! Feeding the cows was absolutely hilarious. Loved to see all their wildly different personalities. Some a gentle as a butterfly, some charging at you like a bull after a red flag! We loaded back up on the tractor (yes, the baby was still driving) and headed back to the front where, thankfully, there was a handwashing station. What a fun and funny experience on this close knit family farm!
