Word to the wise: Watch out for these guys! We were going to book rides for 4 of us, and thankfully we looked into them beforehand. Don't let the name fool you, THERE IS NO FARM. It's a boarding facility where they keep their Facebook marketplace....i mean "rescue horses", as they refer to them; the dang horses need rescued is what they mean. The owners habitually run GoFund me campaigns when they fail to meet their obligations. Have a look at the most recent one: "we will pay it forward for every $500 weeks raised by donating our services....yada yada yada". They're at over $1,800 and despite what they say, no "pay it forwards" have been published on their facebook/website. Most importantly, one thing to keep in mind is that their business is taking paying customers on horse-back rides. Well, THEY DO NOT HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE, or any insurance for that matter. If you fall off of that horse, it's on you...look up the women who lost a finger due to Cypress Breeze Farms negligence not too long ago. She had to come out of pocket for almost $100,000 and didn't hear a word from the "owner", if you want to call them that. Don't take my word for it, book a ride for yourself and find out! read more

Located in Pinellas Park, Cypress Breeze Farm offers riders of all levels of experience a chance to spend time with some very well behaved horses to explore a very well maintained equestrian path that winds alongside residential neighborhoods and nearby stables. The rides originate at Cypress Breeze and the start of the designated path followed runs right alongside the property. Easy, convenient and you will immediately be immersed in the trail's beauty. An elevated platform lets you mount your steed with ease and bags that drape across the saddle provide a safe place for personal belongings as you handle the reins with both hands. Signs along the route serve as a reminder that walking only is allowed. That means you can sit back, enjoy the scenery and relish the relative quiet that is only occasionally disrupted by the sound of a grounds maintenance crew or a passing siren. Most of the path is hard packed dirt and there is abundant shade along the way. The route takes riders out and around rather than out and back and can easily last at least an hour. The horses are all rescues which means they may have been put to work on farms, may not have had the proper food and care they needed or may have had owners who could no longer look after them. The exercise afforded by the equestrian trail seems well within their capabilities and the leisurely place is probably to their liking as well. My horse did attempt to sneak in some between meal snacks whenever the lush foliage lining the path proved to be too tempting but I was told to discourage that so did my best to steer clear of those areas. This is an ideal outing that showcases some of Florida's natural beauty and wildlife. It is easy to stay safely distanced from others while seated on horseback and rides can be booked for small groups, including those with children six and older. It had been decades since I was last on a horse but with the help of the staff, and the kindly nature of my horse, I was quickly at ease and altogether comfortable. read more

We were in town for vacation and wanted to do something different. We are so happy we found Cypress Breeze. Neither my husband nor I have any real riding experience, but this was great for beginners. We rode Apache and Stanley and they were very calm and steady. Our guide Brittany was awesome as well. You might be confused when you first arrive as this looks like a standard residential neighborhood. However, there is an amazing park nearby with great trails. It was mostly shady and the terrain wasn't difficult at all. The horses are obviously well loved and taken care of. We had a great time and will definitely return next time we are here! read more

In the middle of a neighborhood, we were like, really?? Found out the whole area is horse approved! You can take your horse to McDonald's drive through if you'd like! The ladies were quite nice. Former mounted police. Took us through the neighborhoods to the park where everyone trail rides. Our horses were draft horses, but they had smaller horses as well. My wife and I went to for a wonderful trail early in the morning. It was so peaceful and quiet. Our guide, Jules, made sure that we felt comfortable on our two beautiful horses. She had a great chat with our guide throughout the trail as we enjoyed bonding with the horses and taking in the nature that our trail had to offer. Afterwards, we were able to feed our horses, which was also nice. Only my wife's horse did not want to eat his treat, lol! This was a great experience, the horses had different personalities which was interesting to experience and learn. The guider was pleasant and very informative. My male horse Patchy was greedy and took opportunities to stop and eat trees and bushes. I love to eat so I wasn't mad at him. my son's female horse Valentine was moody and mean... typical of a cranky female. My daughter's male horse Hercules was hugeeee but yet beautiful and kind. So much fun. I went for my first trail ride here this past Saturday. With so few horse stables in the area, this place shined like a beacon calling me toward it. Monika was able to take me out with last minute notice. From north St Pete, this farm is less than a 15 minute drive. Who would've thought that this adorable little slice of nature existed behind all of the hustle and bustle that is Park Blvd? When I got there, my horse was all saddled up and ready for me. Her name was Angel, a retired jumping mare, and she couldn't have been sweeter. I petted her the entire trail ride because she was so soft. We embarked on our trail ride and only 5 minutes in, I was greeted by 3 alpacas and a crowd of mini horses that ran up to the gate of the neighboring farm. The mini horses were so adorable and all I could do was kick myself for not bringing my camera! The trail was shaded in native trees and on a day like Saturday, 70 degrees and sunny, it felt just magical. We ended up in the sand arena and Monika let me trot Angel for a while. I haven't been riding in so long but it all came back to me, just like riding a bike you might say. For a one hour ride, it cost $50, normally $60. However, they are offering a $40 coupon right now, and I highly suggest you treat yourself to a fun trail ride here. If you've never been riding before, this is a great place to start. While the ride was nice the horses were filthy - which makes me think they were not well looked after. I understand that trail horses are often the last to be groomed - but to not groom them at all is terrible. My daughter's horse was so dirty you couldn't tell that is was actually a white horse. For the sake of the animals and for what they charge they should at least groom the horses. read more

LOVED Cypress Breeze Farm trail ride! I decided to take my girlfriend on a trail ride for her birthday. She grew up around horses and really missed the sights, sounds, and smells so I started to do some research. Thanks again YELP! We actually had our ride booked with another place I will not mention, cough Ruskin, cough... and when I started looking around, they had terrible reviews about the overall experience. I checked a couple places out and decided we would give Cypress Breeze a shot. We talked to Monica and from the start knew we would have a great experience. They really care for their animals there and love what they do. This all comes out with the postive attitudes from everyone involved! BEWARE!! Our experience on Sunday 2.11.18 was less than ideal and could have been avoided if the staff had used better judgement. My son (6) was thrown off his horse midway through our ride and suffered injuries from the fall. I should have known something bad was going to happen on our trip. After the lead guide (female) was saddled up along with everyone else, the rear guide (male) couldn't get on his horse! This horse seemed agitated and didn't want to be ridden (wouldn't let the guy mount him). This horse actually galloped away as the guy tried to mount him 2-3 more times and he fell off the back of him into the mud. Finally, he was able to get on this wild horse and then followed behind us until the mid-way point when everything went south. This horse got spooked and caused a change reaction that freaked all the other horses out as we waked through a wooded area. My son's horse reared up and he fell off. We're lucky he didn't suffer any broken bones or get trampled by the other horses. He was too bruised up to walk so I carried him about a mile back.. Since this incident this business has totally ignored my calls and emails. BEWARE: if something bad happens they will avoid you afterward and the staff uses poor judgement. IMO: look elsewhere for a trail ride, this business is very poorly run and unprofessional read more
