I came across a situation where either I had to dry my clothes at the laundromat or wait a week for the appliance repairman come to my house to fix my dryer. Since I do laundry at least once (sometimes twice or even 3 times) a week, I took matters in my own hands and paid a visit to "Creekside Coin Wash". Keep in mind that this was my first visit at a laundromat in a couple of decades so I was a bit curious to see how much has changed since the 1990's. Come find out that not much has changed at all since this is your basic no-frills coin operated laundromat. This location is in a busy strip mall directly on Greenback Lane (adjacent to Auburn Blvd) in Citrus Heights while neighboring a Chinese restaurant, a tax preparation place, and a Grocery Outlet supermarket. Parking can be tricky here as this is one of the many parking lots where motorists exceed the speed limit. Back to the laundromat itself. They have an area where you can convert paper bills ($1s, $5s, and even $10s) into quarters since they use quarters for their washers and dryers. They do offer laundry soap as well as fabric softener (for a charge). As far as the machines themselves, they have several sized washers that range from the $3 range (for smaller loads) all the way up to the $8 range (for comforters and blankets). The dryers also have several sizes to choose from but the majority of ones here offer 15 minutes of drying time for only $0.25 which is not a big deal. This place is relatively clean and is as no-frills as possible. No TVs, no Wi-Fi, and no vending machines. That is why I was able to drop my clothes off to wash (while making the 3-minute drive home) and return to put them in the dryer roughly 30 minutes later where I spent enough quarters to fully dry my clothes (roughly 75 minutes). All in all, "Creekside Coin Wash" is just an average old school laundromat; the machines performed as expected and I was satisfied with my results. My rating, just an average 3-stars. read more

Clean, working machines, average costs. I've used this laundromat for 30 years under three different owners. Pros: quarters instead of gathering unusable tokens or unsafe ATM readers, clean, quiet instead of hate tv or blaring music, working machines. Multi tasking environment with a grocery, discount and package store, a vet, java hut, and fast food in the same strip mall. Cons: sometimes parking can be tight, and it can be warm inside during summers 100 degrees like a laundromats. read more

I use to wash my clothes here faithfully every week or every two weeks but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT going to this laundromat if you don't want roaches in your home. On 3 different occasions after I came from washing there I found a roach or two in my home.And this has happened everytime I came from washing at this laundromat. Maybe it's because of the amount of homeless people that come in and out of there. But I know that they need to get an exterminator because it's gross. read more

Won't be going back. Outdated machines and rude! I was getting my quarters first the lady assume I was just there to "take change". All because I still had my clothes in my trunk. After embarrassing me I def decided to take the change and take my business elsewhere. read more

I visited this laundry facility to was a large comforter. I have not been to a laundromat in 20 years so I wasn't sure if the prices were too high. The place was clean and they had a variety of sized washers and dryers. Each section was labeled with price. They also have a coin machine to get quarters. This location was not crowded at all on a weekday mid morning. If you get bored there are several stores and places to eat in the same complex. I feel like this facility is also safe and neighborhood is decent. read more

You'll rarely find a nice, clean coin laundry place and this place doesn't come close. There are plenty top loading washers and 2 different sized front loaders that are a dollar difference in cost depending on which size front loader you use. One side of the place is all dryers. Some work better than others. The dryers toward the back seem to get used more.. and I'm guessing it may be because they work better. The machine that sells detergent isn't well stocked. There's also a pepsi can vending machine inside as well as a change machine. There's ample seats and a couple folding tables. I think what I like best about this place is that it's near Pearl House and I love Pearl House's food. read more

I come here once a week and am in & out really quick. When there is an issue the owner is quick to respond. Love this place.

Personally can't stand having to drive across town to use a laundry mat for large loads of comforters, other blankets, and pet beddings when you don't want to use your personal washer/dryer. But when there's not one near by your home, you have to drive a far distance. Ugh! Gotta get all the bedding washed and clean for family members who will be visiting for the holidays. Expensive for a front loader that fits 2 or maybe 3 queen size comforter for $3.75 per wash. Dryers are old, a quarter for 8 mins and takes multiple drying. I rather just take it home to dry it. Convenient nearby Grocery outlet, pet co., dollar store to kill time while waiting for your clothes. Laundry mat is usually kept clean but machines are old. read more

This place is dirty and outdated. I was afraid to touch anything because every time I did, something sticky seemed to make its way on my hands. I do not recommend this laundry matt. I have never seen a laundry matt as dirty and unmanaged as this one. You go to the laundry mat to clean clothes. Not tip toe through grime! read more

New management is a Class Act all around. Saved my clothes when I left them overnight, any other coin op they probably would have gotten stolen so I'd say they're worth paying a little more for. read more

This used to be a great place to go until the new "management" bought the place, I used to be able to come in here and do all of my laundry for about $5. Since new "management" arrived the prices have gone up slowly but now I come in and I can't spent less than $10 here. Washers used to be $0.75 they are now $2 to run, and it seems that they are trying to force a political agenda upon us by sticking posters of their personal views and beliefs in the windows and on the walls, I've seen little improvements done and yet they still jack the prices up. I want to see real change but not from my wallet, I pay enough in gas and other expenses I don't need to come to my local laundromat and spend as much as I would spend going to Roseville to do my laundry. (Which by the way is where the new owner lives and has other laundromats) read more

I've been coming here for the past two years and never had a problem doing my laundry here but now that it's under new management i do not like the way the place looks now. Half of the waaher machines have been taken out and now it's a quarter more to wash! Really!! Bad enough that the cost of food and housing has gone up now it's costing more to have clean clothes pssh! Ridiculous! New Owners are the best. Before this place used to be very bad, but now everything is being remodeled, and it is looking great. New washers, they even got a super washer that fits 6 loads in 1 . The dryers are the biggest i ever have seen you can fit an adult human inside there. The Owners actually care about the place, and you can leave & shop around come back and nothing will be stolen. I left my smart phone their once came back, & it was still on the table. Please don't listen to bad reviews give it a try. read more

The bad parts of my experience at Coin Wash Laundry most likely weren't typical, so keep that in mind. First, I have to chuckle at another reviewer complaining that last load was at 8:30, since I came her after being refused at Sierra Laundry (on Madison) because their last load is at 7:45pm (is that insane or what?) and I got there at 7:50pm. I started 2 loads in the big washers (50 lb-ers?) at 8:30. They're SOOO much cheaper than Paradise Laundry's large machines, though the machines are also obviously older and have more wear-n-tear. In the fabric softener dispenser there was mold (both machines), and that's something I haven't seen in the machines in other area laundromats. The owner was there cleaning, and was polite and helpful, though English is a 2nd language and he was difficult to understand at times. He was also trying to get rid of a homeless man who reeked of urine and was sleeping in one of the chairs. That probably says more about the area than the laundromat itself. Probably also why they aren't open later. Everything is older there, but it all seemed to work (change machine, soda machine, washers, dryers). No TV but you can never hear a TV over the washers anyway, so what's the point? The layout was much nicer than Paradise Laundry's. Coin Wash has folding tables situated so you can easily get to them, you don't have to weave in and out of people in order to put laundry in or take it out (yes, I'm looking at you, Paradise Laundry). I didn't even know they had free WiFi, my device never picked it up as an open network, and I saw no signs with the password. So here's where my experience got "atypical." At 9pm the power went out, not just for the laundromat, but for the entire area there (affecting 1,450 people). I waited with the owner for about 15 minutes to see if the power was going to be restored quickly. One of my loads had completed, the other was on the final spin. Unlike home washing machines, THE MACHINE WON'T OPEN UNTIL THE CYCLE HAS COMPLETED. No override switch, nothing. Long story short, I'll have to go back tomorrow, to get my 2nd load of clothes, that will have sat in the washer all night, and hope that the owner followed through with telling whoever it is who will open the place what happened, and why my clothes were still there, and hope they don't throw them out. Was the power outage his fault? No, of course not. But given the circumstances, I would think the very least, to compensate for the inconvenience of having to come back, he could have offered to have the morning attendant put my clothes in the dryer in the morning. At the very least. He could have done more to reassure me that my clothes will still be there tomorrow, but I didn't get that, either. All I was told was that I could "come back at 6:30am." Yeah, thanks, but no....I'm not getting up at 6am to get my clothes because your machine is holding my clothes hostage. I'm a self-employed business owner, and I've done a lot more in situations that were a lot less inconvenient for the client. You don't define good customer service by how you're treated when things go right...you define it by how they handle things when it all goes bad. So other than to get my clothes tomorrow (which I will probably have to rewash), I won't be back. EDIT: The owner called the next morning (I had proactively thought to leave a note on the washer where my clothes were trapped) saying that he had put them in the dryer and I could pick them up that night at 9pm (my guess is he opens the laundry in the morning, then leaves and comes back that night to clean and close it). My clothes were dried, folded and put in a large plastic bag, which was really nice. I tried to pay for the drying, but he refused. He's a nice man. I would have gladly given 5 stars on the review if he had said the night before "Don't worry, when I get here tomorrow I will put your clothes in the dryer, then put them in the backroom so they'll be secure and you can pick them up tomorrow night." Just a tiny bit of communication would have gone a looooong way with me. I didn't know he would be the one opening up, so I was left Friday night knowing if the message would be passed on to whoever opened Saturday morning, and/or if my clothes would be thrown away thinking they were abandoned. It's possible, however, that he was thrown off his game from first dealing with the homeless guy who reeked of urine and wouldn't leave, then having a power outage happen. I'm not sure if I'll go back or not. read more

Free Wi-Fi, Open Late, Awesome lunch specials at the chinese place next door, good management also. I usually go in the evenings and the owners are there later in the night. One of the machines ate my money once, they were more than happy to refund it which was very nice. read more

This has been the closest laundromat to me in 5 years and I've been here many times... It's a total roll of the dice and I'm tired of wasting money at a place where half the machines work half of the time. Although the sense of community it builds is nice when everyone in the laundromat is working together to figure out which machines they can and can't use...not to mention the place could use a good scrub down! read more
