There are12 top loading washing machines and 11 of them are nonoperational, dead, broken, out of order. There are 5 front loading washing machines and all 5 are out of order. This place is obviously not maintained or the owner is too dam cheap to do any of the repairs. The place is full of homeless people all trying to use the one washing machine. There are 16 dryers, although none are tagged out of order, the odds are, its a gamble. You may get it to work or you lose the money you paid. Save yourself the trouble and save time by going somewhere else. Its not worth the time waiting for a single washing machine and with the homeless using it, your clothes may come out dirtier and bug infested. Whoever owns this place needs to get thing fixed and working or get someone that will or sell the place to someone that wants to make money. read more

I don't even know if anyone really manages this place I think they come open the door leave and come back when they close most of the washers are out of order and most of the dryers work they have a vending machine with chips and candy bars but who knows how long they been in there the soda machine was out of order too so I had to walk to the store across the street to get a drink I only came here cause the laundry room in my apts was being used and it's one washer one dryer and I needed my work clothes washed so I came to do a quick load but this will definitely be my last a homeless man also came to wash his clothes he seemed a bit weird so I kept a close eye on him over all this will be my last time for sure coming here read more

This place is great been here a few times but keep coming back. The brothers who own it are super nice always giving out free washes for folks and help out. Aaand they just installed new dryers, more dryers, and still super HOT just like the old ones. that was reason I came to this place to begin with is their dryers are super hot. DONT FALL FOR THE FREE DRY LAUNDROMATS, been there done that. They charge 3 and 4x the amount for a wash then you supposedly get free dry! HELLO, YOU PRE PAID 4x the amount it would have taken you to dry! It costs me on average 20$ less to wash here. Wash loads $1.25 here!!!!!!! These dryers also have cooler settings if you want cooler settings but unlike other laundromats they don't have the heat dialed down so much that it takes you 50 quarters to dry your stuff. They are open 24 hours, have a nice local security guy there at night. Some of the other comments on here and totally unbelievable I've been coming here a few times now. You might get a homeless guy for a walk in but they usually don't do anything they just leave or they want to bum a cigarette or a quarter. When I arrived at speed wash everyone there was extremely friendly. Upon putting my clothes in the wash I realized that I only had my debit card and no cash for quarters. I asked the owner if they took debit, he then said that he didn't but instead of having me go all the way to a different store he provided me with a free wash! It's nice to be somewhere that cares about not only there business but the community in which it's in. I highly recommend speed wash to anyone and everyone. Forgot to rate this place when there couple weeks ago. First it is an older laundry but it's nice, clean, and has many new machines. Older dryers but they are huge and the info said HOT. They are way hotter than any other laundry I have been to. Been to several of the FREE Dry places, but end up spending way more there than this place or other non free dry places. Because the Free Dry places are really not free. They triple charge on wash so you pre pay for your Free Dry. Anyway, great place open on holidays and stuff read more

I'm concerned of my safety when I come here. It's sketchy. Neighborhood is not the friendliest. Machines work, but they smell really bad, so bad that I'm a little scared to wear my clothes now after this wash. I threw in a couple more dryer sheets so hopefully my clothes won't smell.That's most likely the only thing good. I'm here right now writing this. I'm currently seeing a hooker in the bathroom doing blow. And not the good type of hooker too. Gangsters on my left and a drunk guy outside. But hey, I'm doing the laundry 11pm..... As far as I know, Speed Wash is the only 24-hour laundromat in the greater Sacramento area. The neighboorhood is "sketchy", and the machines are old, but I've never had a problem with my laundry or my safety. read more

I recently moved to the area. When I came in and looked to see if enough washers were available for our moving clothes I was greeted by the owner. Polite professional and knows his equipment. The place is clean but a little worn like comfortable jeans. He knows several of the people who came in even the homeless man who was looking for the time. Ok, so I am new to YELP but plan on doing lots more of these in future such a cool app, and I eat out a lot so restaurants here I come. I had to get my Yelp on today because of this laundry I visited last night. First I reviewed all the laundromats last night and chose this one because all the others were closing at 10 or 9. I had a lot of laundry because my washer went out and had 2 weeks worth of mine and my kids laundry to do. I was wondering what it was gonna be like because a couple of the reviews but I then pulled up ALL reviews and saw several that were great but weren't shown. Don't know what that's about but maybe something to do with app. Ok anyway, I found this laundry to be super clean. Even though clean, the janitors walked in later at 11pm and started straightening up again and they were super friendly. It's not in the best of neighborhoods but not horrible. I did not see any of the stuff the negative reviews had such as cockroaches, dirt, mess, drug dealers etc. When I asked the janitors and couple other customers who said they were regulars all said those were major exaggerations, and that the owners are super nice and don't put up with BS, or any shenanigans. The washing machines were actually way cheaper than others I priced at other laundries, and the dryers were super hot. Glad I asked the janitors, they told me they were hot and they are big so I got 6 loads in two dryers! Anyway, I am coming back if my washing machine is not fixed yet and I am definitely bringing blankets, comforters and sleeping bags next week. Super stoked to find it the owner greeted me when I walked in and made sure I was able to get one of the big machines since I hadn't had the chance to do laundry in a while. Other than the bad neighborhood that everyone else has mentioned, I've never had any problems with any of the machines, not even the vending machine.. we usually come here pretty late and there's maybe 2 or 3 families washing also. Advice for people who aren't comfortable being here, the people in this neighborhood won't bother you if you don't bother them, don't be so judgemental. read more

Very clean, nice well kept laundry mat. The dryers are very big and they don't fry your clothes. All of the washers were very clean and In good condition. The owner is very nice and friendly and made me feel welcomed. There was not a lot of traffic and it wasn't packed with people, it was very low key and quiet. Ok, felt compelled to write this. Never yelped before but will being doing more of itI was looking for a laundromat and this place was open. All other laundromats are closed and I found this one. Other people talk about the bad neighborhood but it's actually not that bad I think those are people from Richie rich areas. But let's face it folks how many laundromats are located in Richie rich areas. Even though this is a smaller laundromat it has really good machines and all the washing machines are basically new. The dryers were told but a couple of regulars in there they say they go there all the time so they love those dryers and I travel from farther places to go and use her dryer's because they're huge and they're really hot which by the way I discovered myself. They are really big and they're really hot. Couple of the regulars in here were super friendly and help me out with a lot of the stuff and then I got lucky and the owner came in and introduced himself to me. Super nice guy he explained at the laundromat of been owned in the family for since 1955. Give me a couple of free washes and a free dry for being brand new and even talk to my daughter while she was here. Anyway just wanted to say nice things about this laundromat at some pretty nice good machines everybody was really cool and the owner was nice to have been to a lot of other on the mats that are mean it was nice to see friendly faces I will be back.
